I remember that all over France, when all the store employees would greet me. I knew a little French, so I would respond, but would look confused if they said too much. I would say that I'm okay, and I think they knew I wasn't fluent.
In Lesotho, I would greet people as I walked through random villages in their language. This was actually good as when trouble came, I would be helped (shelter from hail storms, and a random mother yelling at a drunk man who confronted me).
I'll admit I was a bit embarrassed as I didn't know about taking my shoes off in certain areas in South Korea.
Anyways, yes, it's good to learn a bit about the culture!

I came to the UK at 14 from my native American country to live with my father I had a great education and wanted to be a funeral director I got my degrees and certificates and now own two funeral home thank God I left and came to the UK
