Portuguese is honestly the best!!!! I absolutely love being Brazilian and having it as my mother tongue since it's such a pleasurable language to speak and it's so similar to Spanish giving us benefit when learning it. The Portuguese version is a bit different from the Brazilian one though (as you said), since the Brazilian one has a lot of African and indigenous influence because of the colonization and the presence and interaction of native peoples, this including grammar and vocabulary additions the Portuguese from Portugal doesn't have. Anyway, good look!! I love that you're learning it!! don't know If I can help much since I don't consume Portuguese media, but if you want Brazilian recommendations count on me!!

not really, she'll be understood just fine with regular portuguese, even in portugal
