Fact. Instead of having a few extra rest days, you now have to play again on Monday. Lakers isn't just going to roll over for us. Not to mention, Jamal may have aggravated his calf injury at the end of Game 4 and is now questionable. Now the question is has he been playing through the nagging injury or this was something that just popped up due to over compensations to his legs.

Jamal Murray is simply missing shots and taking questionable drives to the rim. It's not conditioning or shake, it's purely focus. When games feel repetitive and low stakes, he's one of the worst stars I've seen.
I honestly think the nuggets would be better if they had a Tony Parker type of PG on this team.
Jamal tries too hard to be Kobe Bryant. He said it himself weeks ago that he wants to be the best player ever. His me first mentality can hold the team back.
I would rather us having a player who goes for 22 points efficiently with 10 assists doing the right things than a pg trying to score 30 a game and resulting in inefficient actions

Please, give me a break. When is Murray ever been the savior of the season? Please tell me that. Yes he made that critical shot game three but he missed more than several game-winning shots and the end of the regular season.
I think that if Jokic were injured or couldn't play the whole season. Jamal had to take over the team we would be a play-in team. Jamal never takes the regular season seriously and with his injury history and age it going to be tougher for him to get into playoff shape. I wouldn't be surprised if the front office moved on from Jamal if his playoff looks like this next year.

Lakers fan here. Nice to see the passion from the fans and Matt & Adam. Best of luck to the Nuggets tonight. They can win and close out. They've earned the right to have this opportunity in game 5. I expect Jokic to put up a HUGE game and get Anthony Davis in foul trouble. The lakers may hit some 3s though. Hoping for a great game!

So you expect more from a player that has played 2 years and the other player has played 13 years. That really doesn’t make sense plus they both played better in the game Reggie did really play in. The last game they didn’t play defense against the others that’s why they lost the last game. Murray has been playing Murray ball and not the team ball when they look good like last year when he was getting 8 and 9 assists.
the nuggets got too confident. confidence is a tricky thing, if you're too confident you become complacent and start slacking but not enough confidence and you screw up. Plus the Lakers played really well so give them credit. plus the nuggets were due for a loss against the lakers. you can't beat someone forever, eventually you lose. the greatest chess player that is a grandmaster will eventually lose to a master level chess player if they play enough times
The nuggets won most of their games without Murray. It’s just time for the younger guys because they were playing better without Murray.
I think Jokic talked about series not about a single game. It was a critical towards Nuggets. It doesn't matter that we went up 3-0, if we don't finish it and we didn't finish it today.
Reason why you fought for top seed is, if you feel so confident and can toy with the opponent/s (celtics 2008), you can afford to lose games to gain more profit for home games. Regular Season are at 5 to 6 Million income and the playoffs has bigger profits and it can reach around 8 to 10 Million, why not give up 1 to earn more.

Jamal Murray and jokic don't seem to have a lot of energy on defense. Joker has straight resorted to shoving guys when there in the air and just hoping it doesnt get called.
How was the team thrown off when only 3 rotation players didn't get their shoes? Porter Jr, Watson, Jackson. If the Nuggets as a team are better than the Lakers they should win 1 game w/ a hobbled or missing Murray. SN: if Lebron & AD get those rest stretches ,in gm5 like gm4 that's a concern
Everything I read prior to this series was that the Lakers were better than last year and it was unlikely to be a sweep. Now that it's not a sweep, cue the freaking out. It's the playoffs, it's going to be hard. The fact that they dropped a game isn't that worrisome - but the fact that they haven't come out strong in any of the games so far, certainly is. Double-digit deficits is a recipe for disaster against a truly good team, like the Wolves.

Gentleman's Sweep. Team just wanted to give Jokic another game so he can pad his already ridiculous triple-double numbers in the playoffs. Avoiding a sweep means more chances to notch another 30/15/15 gem (almost had one last game!)

Anybody saying that murray is fine has got to be stupid. Giannis is out because of a calf strain, KAT was out for a long time because of his calf. KD in 2019 had calf issues that led to his Achilles injury and eventually took him out for 2 years. This thing is no joke and i hope nuggets take it seriously and not play Murray. Sorry nuggets fan but this year were short, we should had picked up a backup pg and a reliable bech sg. Westbrook would had been great for Denver. Adam I am sorry but CB had been just AWFUL this serie; and I have been his biggest fan since the night we drafted him. Offense is the least of his issues, He's been our second or 3rd worst defender until now!! And for the worst reasons: mental mistakes, personel confusion and so on. Last game was maybe his best game so I hope it was just a bad start.

Yeah I haven't seen AD really creating his own shot much this series. He's been getting put backs and lobs when Jokic has to help on a drive, and then a broad array of midrange jumpers (normally shots you want people taking) and hooks (most of them from difficult angles) -- honestly looking very Jokic-like in his touch on those shots lately. This is 100% on AD for being an elite player, knowing how to space the floor, but also not just settling for 3's, and finally finding his touch from around the edges of the paint for more than 2 games in a row.

better he gives away some easy buckets early than get into foul trouble and has to come off the floor. This is the diff between a Jokic and a Gobert. Rudy's job is defense. If he gets into foul trouble, it's not a terrible thing for the team that he goes to the bench a bit early. And it's really worse if Gobert doesn't challenge every shot because that's his MAIN VALUE to his team. Jokic main value is not his defense, period. Ever. Not even close. So especially early in games, he has to play soft defense and stay well clear of foul trouble, especially vs a team with LeBron, who's always getting fouls called without anyone even near him. And then late in the game when the refs have swallowed their whistles, he can start picking up the aggressiveness. And rest assured, every defense-first shot-challenging big man has a tendency to get into early foul trouble in this league.
