he can and I strongly believe he will definitely be better. he's playing for team Canada this Olympics and the conditioning, and experience will have him coming in the best shape since pre injury. plus playing on a differently built team without having Jokic to rely on will improve his point guard play. I disagree he needs to look at these lesser players like maxey, ant or whatever just because they won a popular vote. getting better is the key, so he should only look at definitely better players in his position. so basically just Jalen Brunson, Kyrie and Steph Curry. playing next to a 3 time mvp like jokic who likes spreading out the scoring with other fringe allstars like MPJ and AG, plus any other player who has a good look means it's going to be tough for him to have the production that typically defines an allstar.

It's easy to say Jamal needs to come into the season in better shape and take his conditioning more seriously. But, will he? He doesn't seem to feel the need to become an all-star even if it would put tens of $millions in his pocket. Hard to see him actually doing anything different this off-season but we can hope he listens to the coach.

I will _never_ buy the "gassed" excuse... These guys are professional athletes in the NBA - they must be conditioned to play 48m without any problems! If they do try to make that excuse, then they should be kicked out of the team. What did they do for years in their professional career if they could not bring their body to the state that it is ready to play 48m of basketball? If they are injured, then simply do not play, otherwise you are a liability to the team. If Jamal was seriusly injured, yet he played for whatever reason, I would see that as a mistake. We fans would rather have him say "i am not ready to play at the level that i have to", instead of playing and being terrible...

Our backcourt was overmatched against Edwards and Conley. Murray tried too much 1 on 1 and hes not Luka or Kyrie. That's for sure. How many blocked shots has Gafford had. Kyrie has kept Edwards way off balance on Defense. Ant can't guard Kyrie. Most of all i saw Jason Kid throw 4 and 5 different guys at Ant Man and several different lineups. Boy did they make Gobert look silly. IMO our bench players we have now ain't gonna cut it. Braun, yes. Strawther, yes. If Pwat cant fix his jump shot that will hurt.

Its easy for me to say because I like jokic and couldnt care less about the denver nuggets… how about these ‘suits’ realize who they have (a legend) and trade the player that you know is the issue and always will be. Its obvious to everyone what needs to be done so just do it, if i can coin a phrase. Much harder road with Lakers healthier (LeBron 2024 vs 2023 and while Nuggets won in 5 it easily could of gone 6, 7 or L the way Nuggets played as they were down 9-22 in 5/5 games vs Lakers while trailing nearly 70% of the time…Bron was 39% from 3s but every other Laker was 28% from 3 with many wide open misses), Wolves healthier w/ Naz & McDaniels both healthy vs last year both out. Then even if they had won Game 7, Mavs in WCF with Luka Kyrie PJ Lively Gafford DJjr Green/Hardaway etc is a damn good 1-8/9 (Even Hardy having some good mins) would of been tougher then last years WCF vs Lakers with banged up LeBron. Nuggets in 12 playoff games alone got down 9-45 points in 9/12 games! That’s playing with fire and shows they weren’t even close to as dominant as 2023 PO run. 2.) 2023 Bruce Brown vs 2024 Reggie Jackson Regular season Bruce averaged 29 mpg vs Reggie 22 mpg and in Playoffs that diff was Brown 27 MPG vs Reggie 10 MPG! Kyrie has always been on a different level than Jamal. He can create a shot and get a bucket at will. Everyone knows this. That's why MN can't guard him, he's to slippery and scores at every level too well.
