You can use liquid Germal Plus, but not in the same amount as geogard 221.
For each ingredient used in cosmetics, there is a recommended dose that should or can be used.
For a 100 gram formulation, it is recommended to use a maximum of 0.50 grams of Liquid Germal Plus

The shelf life of a product depends on the shelf life of all your ingredients, not only the preservative.
