Pls take my comments with an open mind.
1) In your illustrative example the difference between distance and displacement is well explained. However, perhaps you overlooked the importance of describing the frame or point of reference (in this case, the initial position of the body). While the answer given for the displacement which is 6 m, North may be acceptable to many, it's rather incomplete. The better answer for the displacement is
d⃗ = 6 m, North of the initial position. (The magnitude, direction, and point of reference are three key requirements when describing displacement).
