I will go for DSME1400 for our Phil Navy because of its varied weaponry against various enemy threats.Besides, it can submerge longer than the Scorpene, an advantage when patrolling our archipelagic country composed of 7000+ islands and the WPS.

I like the idea kung yung sub ay adaptable sa different scenarios, more useful features/tools that can be fit iside the small sub = ↑strategic options = ↑chance of survival =↑list of sub's missions = ↑sub's usefulness & capable to perform inside/outside the Philippine area..

Yung batteries are very critical in deciding which submarine makes the submarine better than the other one? I am leaning towards the DSM1400 from South Korea because of the specs with attacking capabilities as well as its countermeasures in defense of the submarine as well as its crews safety. However, to execute the subs missions and capabilities falls down with the battery system. Unless DAEWOO can fix the battery issues the submarine is no good as an Attack submarine or can be just classified as a patrol submarine?
Are you referring to DSME's 1200 Type 209 because DSME 1400 isn't type 209 base. The brand new DSME 1400 battery will be Lithium ion battery.

If French Scorpene submarine is not feasible due to high price, I suggest Philippine Navy TWG might consider the South Korean DSME 1400 submarine which is not so expensive and can be done by many years of soft loan and government to government deal might as well have the possibility of 1 submarine freebies. In terms of capability, DSME 1400 submarine is also capable and comparable to Scorpene submarine.

Pwede kaya yung mga advantage features ng DSME Submarine I Apply or iinstall with Scorpene such as sonnars, load capacity & the controversial issue with Indonesian Navy which is the battery, yun ba yung tragedy na walang survivors ? since the PN favors the French Scorpene baka pwede irevise nila ang features na the same as with DSME.
Scorpene still the best for the Philippines, its more advance and quality tested and no issue, the smaller and stealthier are more effective against enemy

I've read that So Won Il Class subs of Korea jointly developed by Daewo and HHI has serious structural problems... Maybe we should set aside buying subs from SK for now until such issues are fixed and look at Turkey and France offers instead...

in our Future Frigate Acquisition, we should Considered Other Made ship like France, Japan, Italy, Germany and others, If we only have a Fleet Build by only one Country, Their is a High Chance of Bribery and Corruption, and if our Relationship with Sokor get soured, our Navy will be affected, we should look to Other shipbuilder like Blohm+Voss, Damen, Naval Group.

As for PH subs, i am assuming PH have mostly shallow coastal or littoral waters, and i prefer our subs to stay within our EEZ. Thus, i'm more for mini- or midget subs.
