  • A lot was expected from Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs, but they failed to deliver. Former assistant coach Farouk Khan looks back at a season which promised so much, but delivered nothing.

    Thank you for this interview, I know we have been getting it from JK but it was helpful to hear FK as a person who has been involved both in academy and coaching chiefs.

    I would love to see this Man in SAFA juss to see our national football growing ,i think his role in local football is over we need him in SAFA mby our national team will finish quater finals in the FIFA world cups in the long ran🇿🇦🇿🇦

    Coach Farouk is saying the same thing that JK has been saying for the past 6 months, Chiefs management should listen to the likes of this gentlemen and change the structure.

    It a replica of what Junior Khanye said n though I'm not KC supporter,looking on a football perspective,it would be an ideal for the team to bring back Mr Farouk into the fold bcs of his knowledge and understanding of the KC team culture.

      If chiefs had won the league, his analysis will be different, guys let's face it doesn't matter how you play, luck also played a huge part in sundows the only difference with chiefs was the defense. If chiefs had a strong defense this league would have been ours.

    This guy gave birth to Junior Khanye's psychological field of analysis,it was like JK was speaking. We need Farouk back and another element is Putco Mafani who played an extremely significant role in fan base. We won games before we even went to the field. If Mr Motaung can hear our cry once more as fans.

    People like him deserves credit and are the ones to bring glorious days at Naturena. You don't just players but players will can fit the culture and philosophy of the team. Junior and Farouk must be part of chiefs

      Hell with philosophy, we had stuart Baxter, most of our analysis criticized his type of play but because he won cups, everyone liked him.

      This is what I was expecting from a coach change ur system 3-5-2 . We lost some other games becoz of one system. Aeriel ball we have players who can win us games. Passing game until we get that goal okay sime other game we need grinded result

    So true Farouk. Well-said. Its easy to say, Chiefs must buy players, but if you have competition with financial muscles like Sundowns, its not easy to get those players if they are available. Hence if you have build something of your own, in a long run it will come in handy.

So much knowledge of football, remember when Farouk Khan was involved at Kaizer Chiefs development? Here's an example: Khune, Khanye, Skappie, Jabu Pule...

    And this is so simple already we have Varsity football if we beef up with school like school of excellence and bring back High and primary school tournaments i believe many players will come out, what happened to MTN. DANONE, COCACOLA, Multichoice and Engen Tournaments we used to have so many matches from lower divisions now these kids are bored at home either playing video games, partying and boozing or end up smoking nyaope, We are forced to Paytax the Government must also help out, we pay Expensive toll gates where does the money go to?

    People give too much credit to Pitso, and blame Chiefs coaches too much. Sundowns management is taking good care of Pitso, Chiefs management does not look after their coaches. Go on and bring Junior Khanye to coach these current players, let's see what he can do
