We Do Lighting Better Because We Test! - Auta a dopravní prostředky
thanks man,, im starting to customize my silverado now that im learning how to drive! i have a 2013 model which is perfect to this video. One love brotha
Thank you so much for this! I have a 2012 Silverado.
You’re welcome, Thank you for watching!
I just received my GTR Lighting kit in the mail today! I ordered the Ultra 2 kit for the low beams, and the Mini LED’s for the high beam and the Mini LED’s for the fog lights in my 2011 Silverado. I just finished installing them and overall it took me approximately 1 1/2 hours to complete. I had to adjust one of the high beams but everything else was already in the correct position. The quality of the GTR product is great and they have a very snug fit. I wasn’t able to get the factory wiring connector to clip entirely on the fog lights. I even pulled a muscle in my arm trying to get it to snap in place but that was a no go. That’s the only real discrepancy I have with lights. Removing the stick air box wasn’t very difficult either but overall, I am very happy with the brightness of the lights and look forward to convert the rest of my truck to LED lights from GTR!
Thank you for the detailed comment.
What is the best light now for gmc sierra 2010 legal
Thanks for the video man!
No problem!
Sweet video as always. Question? Did you have to clock the bulb or did they already come in the proper orientation
They are clocked properly right out of the box for 90% of vehicles. Occasionally you’ll have to adjust them but It’s rare.
Please do a video on upgrading the fog lights.
We’ll get it done!
You may want recheck that Highbeam Clock. I readjusted mine to perfect 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock and the beam is a lot better.
Any issues with the daytime running lights
I’m surprised you guys haven’t done a best headlights for 99-06 Chevy Silverado. I just bought the gtr ultra 2 fell in love with how bright they are but they’re too long so I’m going to try the csp mini
This vehicle isn't too popular these days, we have some suggestions on our website for this vehicle though!
Interesting since theyre called cat eye chevys. Im torn between bulb upgrades or complete housing upgrades. Mine have had their day. Someone drove my stock truck and said "are your lights on" :/
Have you tested the Lucas LED bulbs?
i have a 2012 silverado 2500hd. what is the best headlight with the Blue look like the New Cars Have?
I'm in Virginia. My 07 suburban just failed inspection because I replaced my oem HID bulbs with LED bulbs. They said the factory light housing is "ONLY" DOT rated for HID bulbs. NOT LED's !! Just FYI !!
Great video thanks for making it. A couple of questions for you. Why didn't you test the Diode Dynamics bulbs? Also would there have been more high beam bulb options if you would have removed the headlight housing like other videos do?
We usually include them in every test, I’m not sure why we didn’t have them in this one!
When ordering
I love the front end on this truck. I have the same make, model and color. Where can i find the front end parts to this truck shown in the video
You can enter the year/make/model to see everything we have available: www.headlightrevolution.com/
How about some LED turn signal bulbs for these trucks that done need resistors, and possibly switch backs?
This is one of the few vehicles that will still require a resistor for the turn signals, but you can use a switchback bulb!
Bulb: headlightrevolution.com/gtr-lighting-armor-series-3156-3157-led-bulbs/
Resistor: headlightrevolution.com/gtr-lighting-50-watt-6-ohm-gold-style-resistors-for-custom-installation/
@@HeadlightRevolution i wish i had known. i out 4 morimoto switchbacka in my 2011 and two burned out
my o8 gmc has a one wire bulb and other wire goes to ground ,I see some blue splices too not sure if someone was running hid at some point
That is possible!
Are led headlights any good in winter driving? Snow fall glare, produce enough heat to keep snow & ice build up. I live in Canada & winter can be harsh. Bin on the fence about switching to leds 2010 Sierra. Any good 5202 amber bulbs for the fog light
Some of our LEDs will melt the snow, but not all of them. I would say that if you are worried about snow and the cold in your area, you might want to go with a set of the HIDs. I have linked all the products we carry for your vehicle below, let us know if you have any other questions!
Link: www.headlightrevolution.com/buyer-guide-by-vehicle/2010+GMC+Sierra_1500
Whats the part number for lows s-v_4 low beams and fog lights im looking to upgrade
For the offroad headlight LEDs, you will want to get them from the website, and I have linked them for you here: headlightrevolution.com/2007-2013-chevy-silverado-led-s-v-4-h11/
For the fog lights, the only option that we will have for you will be the Morimoto XB LED fog lights, and I have linked those for you here: headlightrevolution.com/morimoto-xb-chevrolet-2007-2017-square-led-fog-lights/
If you have any other questions, let me know! Have a good one!
A lot of LED BULB ARE extremely bright but only bright to the eyes not the road, if you're the driver driving at night during rain you see nothing on the road, anything above 4300k is bad on the road, I used HID 4300k is much better than anything
How long do usually lights take to ship? Is there a delay on shipping right now for certain bulbs? @headlightrevolution ? Since my order is still awaiting shipping
Send us an email at sales@headlightrevolution.com and we will look into your order for you!
I love my SV4’s in my 2012 Silverado! I also have GTR fog lights, and I must say the build quality of the SV4’s is much better.
I'm glad to hear you like the bulbs! The build quality does seem to be slightly better with the S-V.4's, but we rarely see any quality issues with the Ultra 2's, plus it's hard to beat that lifetime warranty!
Thanks for watching!
Can you link your bulbs you got? I’m wanting to get the same for my 2013 silverado
@@OhDoze www.headlightrevolution.com/2007-2013-chevy-silverado-low-beam-led-headlight-upgrade-v-4-0713SILVER-LED.LOW-V.4_2?quantity=1
Note, if you have the Duramax you will have to remove the battery on the driver's side. 2008 Silverado 2500HD.
That makes sense, as they have dual batteries! Thanks for the note!
@@HeadlightRevolution The other option since the battery is heavy and kinda hard to lift out, with a little more wrenching you can remove the headlight bucket which is what 3 or 4 bolts?
Oh ok, that makes sense! I am not sure how many bolts there were as I didn't do that install, but this is great help for others with the HD trucks! Thanks for commenting!🙏
Seen video for 2012 Silverado led low beam . gtr ultra 2 is complete name
Would this video apply to the 2011 gmc sierra 2500hd?
This video would not apply to that Sierra, they have different headlights unfortunately. I am sorry to say that we do not have a video for that specific vehicle, wish we could be of more help here! Let us know if you have any other questions!
Is the 2009 silverado base headlights projector or reflector?
I'm looking to create the best possible lighting source, and I'm not sure if I need to replace the fixture itself, or just install led bulbs.
I believe these were all reflector. You'll just need to pop in some LED bulbs!
Hey what do yall think of the jdm astar m1 kit
Not sure if we have tested that specific bulb, but if you want to see how some other JDM Astar bulbs stack up, check out this video: czcams.com/video/LT-s4Eg7cyw/video.html
Do you Guys have a video for Fog lights for this Silverado?
Not specifically this truck. Sorry!
i have a 2010 silverado lowbeams... on the bulbs you can adjust do you want the leds at 12 and 6 or 3 and 9 or does it matter?
You would want the yellow LED chips facing 9&3!
Have any recommendations for a Chevrolet Cruze 2014 LT?
We'd recommend either the S-V.4 or the GTR Lighting Ultra 2 bulbs!
headlightrevolution.com/product-types/bulb-style/h13-9008/
What was that little square block that you plugged the harness into?
Its called an LED driver! Usually comes standard on most LEDs.
I just put a new.low beam on my Chevy and the new connector did not for the life of me want to rotate all the way down like the last one. Will that mess it up. ?
Which connector are you referring to, the OEM wiring connector? The connector shouldn't be an issue as long as the bulb is clocked correctly and snuggly installed.
Which would you recommend for a chevy express 2019 van?
GTR Ultra 2.0 would work great in there!
Have you guys tested the DDM saber proX? They claim 12000 lumens. I’ve gotten years of solid use from their HID kits. Curious on their LEDs?!?! Have same body style Silverado so would like to know how they work in it
We havent used that bulb, so I am not able to speak on that. Let us know what year and model Silverado you have, and I would be happy to link you to the products that we carry for your vehicle!
@@HeadlightRevolution I think you should review them, they are rated 2nd in bulbfacts.com, like I mentioned before I have the same body style Silverado in the video.
Do you not test these bulbs cause you don’t sell them? I would think being an honest test would be testing bulbs that you also don’t sell against ones you do.
Maybe we will come out with a test down the road! As for testing other bulbs, we totally do that, and I have linked a video on this for you here: czcams.com/video/LT-s4Eg7cyw/video.html
Will these exact bulbs fit my 2012 GMC Sierra 2500HD?
Yes, they are!
I have replaced low beam in my 08. My high beams have never looked like that. Looks like the headlight assembly needs to be replaced.
Ya this donor vehicle could use a refresh.
What about a 2007.5-2013 GMC Sierra 1500?
This same information applies, The headlights are extremely similar!
Also do u have the all on mod on this truck? Noticed all lights lit up
This truck is completely Stock, no Modifications done to it!
Just wondering does anyone here adjust their bulbs one by one and unplug first one til done with second and so forth?
That's not a bad idea, just to ensure everything is Precise and spot-on!
How do you adjust them?
GTR and your website is confusing as heck. GTR has a H11 low beam and H11 DRL whats the difference, the description is the same? Do the low beam version work with DRL? What the difference between the Low Beam version and the DRL version?
Nothing! (:
I see that the swap is possible, but why not remove the headlight assembly? Is it much more difficult than the older generation?
You certainly could, It’s not too hard to pull the headlights on these trucks.
Are the high beams 9005 ?
They sure are!
Do these require a ballast?
These do not require a ballast kgarnhum.
Any chance on doing a 2017 escape, looking to upgrade just don’t know what to
Send us an email at Sales@HeadlightRevolution.com, We have experience with those vehicles and there are a few really good options available for you.
What about 2014-2015?
We have videos on those trucks coming soon!
C an y'all test the midsouthled bulbs?
Sure!
What about 03-06 Silverados?
I have the v4 in my 03 and I absolutely love them.
Send us an email at Sales@HeadlightRevolution.com, We have experience with those vehicles and there are a few really good options available for you.
"If there is one vehicle we constantly get asked about".
And yet, you never send emails about Chevy's.
What about 2014-2019 GMC Sierra??
Send us an email at Sales@HeadlightRevolution.com, We have experience with those vehicles and there are a few really good options available for you.
Which one would you recommend for 2006 silverado??
Send us an email at Sales@HeadlightRevolution.com, We have worked with those Silverados in the past and can help you out.
I am curious too. Been looking through videos trying to find information on what LED bulb would be best to use. I have used HIDs in the past but I am tired of dealing with ballasts.
bought some replacement low beams at autozone, terrible, looks like a dead battery flash light
😢
Why do you guys always compare leds to the cheapest halogen bulb type? I'm pretty sure if you guys use something like the sylvania silvestar ultra it would be a lot more than just 200 lux, regardless if its stock or not, silvestar ultra would be a better match for leds
We want to show you guys how these LED bulbs compare to what you already have in your truck from the factory. Most of the people who shop with us haven’t yet upgraded their lights and want to see a before and after comparison with what they already have.
I’m sure that the Sylvania Silverstar halogen bulbs, which are 1345 lumens, are not that much brighter than the OEM stock halogen bulbs. LED bulbs are the way to go, especially if you have headlight mid smoke tint on your headlights like I do on my 2010 Silverado. I’m going with a 3800 lumen LED bulb from my Sylvania Silverstar halogen bulbs
Silverstars are a joke, same brightness as a stock bulb for me, and they don’t last long (8 months at most) I ran through 2 sets of silveratars in my 2012 before getting the SV4 bulbs and I’m much happier to not have to keep replacing halogens and I can actually see at night.
Ok, I never had silvestar ultras anyways, they expensive lol, but yeah I use leds on my 04 impala and they are the best option
Drew w yes, they are the same brightness with double the heat from them, which is not good. In my opinion, why spend the extra money for the Silverstar Sylvania? Not good quality. I would stay with OEM Halogen or upgrade to LED bulbs
Huh
GMC 2014 on led headlights
We have a few new videos on those trucks coming soon!
What about a 2010 GM 1500? They're a bitch to access on the driver's side because of the windshield washer container.
How to blind oncoming traffic
Not at all, when installed properly these replicate the halogen filament and produce the same beam pattern!
