Ugly Drum Smoker - Beef Plate Ribs

- On this video I smoked up a 4lbs rack of beef plate ribs without wrapping! For anyone who hasn't tried these I highly encourage you to find them and smoke them! Super awesome beef flavor! The Killer Hogs rub combo was killer and yet again the combo of B and B Oak Briquettes and chunks of post oak was fantastic! The Cook Details:
Protein: 4lbs rack of beef plate ribs
Rubs: Killer Hogs AP and TX style Brisket
Pit Temp: 275F ish
Cook Time: 6 Hours
Meat Temp: The rack was probe tender right around 198F
Rest: Double Wrapped In Foil, wrapped in towel, and let sit on counter for 1 hour
Eat: Well just slice and enjoy...An ice cold Busch Light pairs perfect with these!

Good looking smoke ring! I too like to throw the meat in before the pit reaches temp in order to mitigate opening up the lid again to insert meat just for the coals to breath and create a spike in temp. Great job!

I’m on the hunt for some good plate ribs, it’s been awhile! Last ones I got weren’t as meaty as Id hoped. These look awesome. Side note - I still have yet to try killer hogs either lol I’m probably the only one.
