from a unconventional store empolyees perspective (i work in a glass blowing shop) sometimes we sell vases for like 2 grand and we just pretend like its no big deal but we are screaming when that sale goes through and its out the door lol. rare af that we sell those they go like once maybe twice a year (generally with the same costumer)

@@kprst6 Don't know if you're foreign or not but that's pretty funny because in Canadian funds that would mean that everything is free since they eliminated pennies a few years ago. With the penny rounding system that stores use for cash payments, they would round down to $0.00 instead of rounding up to $0.05

Just discovered this video of yours today Chris, and I have to say you and your pals are without doubt the coolest and most generous magicians in the community. That was really thoughtful of you to spend so much of your own money to help support your local magic shop. I commend you, sir. I do have to admit it was a pretty small store, compared to the ones out here in NY. and I was also surprised out how little he had in terms of stock in especially big ticket items. I have Ronjo's near me and they have a much larger store with a huge selection that you could have easily purchased professional stage magic props and gimmicks and spent $10,000 on less than 50 items. I have only discovered Cardistry a little over 2 weeks ago and have already accumulated over 65 decks from all the top card companies out there that I have seen featured on your videos. I especially love my Memento Mori's (the real one's not the blues). I am also getting back into card magic in a big way as well. The funny thing is out of the entire store the only thing I really wanted was the signed 1st cards of yours. If I was there I would have jumped on that in a heartbeat.

I love the guys at Magie Spectram. While you and them are not a natural fit, I am happy to see you "collaborate" with them.. and injecting 10k into a struggling local business is a nice way to recognize the importance of such stores into bringing magic to where it is now.
Yesterday I performed for someone they asked if they could shuffle the cards I said yes then they looked through them and said “ha I figured out your trick you have 2 jokers in here” and they walked away content because they “figured it out” which they didn’t
