For some reason I don't think the person who made those snowmen seemed sinister, just lonely and wanted to prank the family a bit. Yeah I'm sure to the dad it was concerning because his kid was scared but anyway I'm glad he never opened the door just in case.

Story #3 reminds me of another Mr Nightmare story in which a guy was alone in his family's hunting cabin in a rural part of the state. He heard children laughing in his backyard several times over the next two days. Finally, he decides to go outside and address these children that seem to be on his land. As he went further into the woods, he found a tape recorder and this is where the children's laughter was coming from. At this point, he knew that he had been lured out there by someone. So he too ran back to the house as quick as he could and he locked the doors. That episode is called: 3 disturbing TRUE scary stories posted 8 months ago. Story # 2

I was thinking exactly the same. I said, hey this story sounds similar to the one where a guy walks into the woods at night, leaving his wooden cabin and following children's voices. Until he eventually went home and heard something get thrown at his window. This third Christmas story instantly reminded me of it. That must of been of the first Mr Nightmare storys that got me hooked. It was so scary!

Everything aside, the first story made me a little sad. Obviously the dude isn’t in the right headspace and making the snowmen was super creepy, but there are a lot of people out there spending the holidays alone. @@PirateNikki Idk, the angry frown on the snowman and throwing something at the kid's window late at night is a little sus. And the fact that he specifically targeted the boy is a bit concerning. The idea that he has no one to spend the holiday with is definitely a sad thought, but you can't say you wouldn't at least be a little suspicious of his actual intentions if that's his approach, mentally unstable or not.
I know 18 years old is an adult but there's no way I would've let my 18 year old relative leave with some 40 something stranger, especially in a city we've never been in.

Coming from someone who lived in Miami for over 15 years, the situation in the 2nd story is very common. There are many sketchy areas in Miami, the one notable district I can think of is Wynwood, where there is a ton of cool graffiti, though it is super sketchy and I wouldn’t be caught there at night. Kidnappings happen all the time but they are never mentioned on the news unless it is someone notable usually or if the kidnappers are caught and it’s a good story. Let me say this, the dog Nicko at the last story was the best thing ever. Why? Let's face it: dogs are literally one of the reasons why so many lives are saved! They know when intruders are nearby.

I feel bad for Nico in that 2nd story, but very dissapointed that his cousin allowed him to go out with a middle-aged woman he just met for a matter of minutes who set him up. That 3rd story was interesting and hard to explain too as far as him hearing that voice, but not seeing anyone.
I remember hearting an eerily similar story on the bedtime stories channel. They had a video about wendigos and a man had that exact thing happen. He thought he heard his wife calling out to him in the woods. He followed her voice into the woods only to hear her voice from his house again.

theres an older tv movie from 1991 called THE HAUNTING...its on YT...its pretty scary and true story... this entity or demon or poltergeist could mimic the voice of family members when they weren't even home... its unsettling ...the warrens investigated

While the first one is scary, I feel bad for that man. I don’t think his intentions were harmful, he was probably just old, mentally not there and had no family. The family owes him nothing and have every right to refuse and be scared, but I do hope he got help and didn’t have to spend the holidays alone

1:21 This is by far my favorite scene in a Mr. Nightmare video. I love the effects and the cute yet eerie tone of “Frosty The Snowman” playing in the background which was perfect for this particular part. The picture of the snowman is also weirdly adorable but creepy as heck with its long, thin twig arms and face. Love this! Great job on the video!
Mr nightmare will never stop to be my staple storyteller. Ever since sometime in 2015 i've been relaxing to this mans voice.

However I found Llama arts before him in 2016 and eventually I got curious who was voicing the animations so I think I found him through her.

I do sometimes when it’s cold outside and my paranoia isn’t acting up. But most of the time my curtains are closed. Mostly because my window faces the street.

I'll never understand how people think it's smart to try and get lucky at bars. It's pretty much common knowledge by now not to go with a stranger to their house, let alone through an Uber.
Their horniness overrides their brain.
Bars in general are kinda a bad place to meet people
People still do this a lot because it’s not any worse then meeting people online.
Story 2 shows that it doesn't have to be online to encounter the wrong person, these things have happened even before the internet so always be careful who you meet, whether online or not. Know the red flags, use extra caution, and definitely don't go to their house until you know them well enough.

Story # 3 sounds like the legend of the skin Walker. Their vocals can form into the ones you love to lure you into their trap. The fact that it made the main character go deeper into the woods makes all the more sense
That's what I was thinking! I hear so many stories about situations that are very specific to the legend, but they never mention the legend itself. It makes me wonder if there is some validity to the legend.

The third is a scare tactic - the person would record your voice or a loved ones voice (or any voice, like a crying baby) in an effort to lure you out of the home. The person will then break in to your home or do other damage in the areas you are not at.

My scary Christmas story:
This was about when I was 10. On Christmas Eve, it was really early in the morning, I would say around 12-1am. I had a hard time sleeping because my anxiety would keep me awake on certain occasions that I was nervous for. I was worried that if I didn't sleep, Santa wouldn't come. Around that time, I was about to fall asleep when I heard the front door of my house open. I thought that it was Santa since we didn't have a chimney. They tried to open our main house door when my dogs suddenly started barking as loudly as they could. My father yelled at them to shut up and my mother asked what was going on, they were in their room. The front glass door suddenly shut as if someone was startled. The next morning was Christmas, and I told my parents that I heard Santa trying to get into the house and how I was worried he wouldn't show up because the dogs scared him. My father was confused and my mother went pale. They didn't get up to place presents or grab the bowl of carrots left outside for the reindeer. To this day, I still don't know who was trying to get into our house and what would have happened if the dogs didn't alert us.

That first story is more sad than scary. Like, it was wise not let a stranger in because you gotta look after kids, but it's just sad some people really are that lonely
im lonely every year bc i live continents away but i wouldn't go around doing that 🤣
The first story was a bit heartbreaking, he may had been genuinely lonely or it could have been a trap but it's different when there are children involved. I would say if there were no children there, it may have had a different outcome but this day in time we really have to protect our kids. Too many predators these days.
