  • David Warner, former Vice-Captain of the Australian Cricket team is seen here at his Press Conference which occurred at 11 A.M. EST March 31, 2018.
Although he regrets "his" actions at what happened on the third day of the Cricket Test in Durban, South Africa he doesn't add much to what's already know about this ball tampering allegation or if its happened in the past which is really what the Media and the public here in Australia would like further answers to.
I am completely neutral in this, I'm uploading this for those who are interested in seeing it.

Hi Warner, I don't know if you'll ever see this message. I am a great admirer of your cricket! I loved the way SRH played in your leadership, your batting has been a great joy to watch, I am ever so sad to see you in this state! In life we all make mistakes, perhaps if you never got caught, you would have brushed it off in your memories however Karma catches up with you when you least expect it. I still respect you and wish to see you again in the field, I think you need to go on a journey and in that you'll be able to forgive yourself first and foremost and then console with your team mates. It's sad that a small immoral decision has caused so much sadness and suffering to many souls, such again is life. I hope you become much wiser and a role model in the future and I support you spiritually in your endeavourers. Best of luck buddy, see you again soon smiling :).

His reputation has got tarnished, his family like other 2 players is facing the abuses from people, he is not sure of his future as a cricketer, above all he has two daughters and imagine what they must be going through right now! I am not supporting his action but the guy needs compassion and support at this time. Things happen and sometimes there is no reason for it. Before judging the bans to be too harsh, consider that CA are aware this behaviour didn't just start with this particular incident. Spare a thought for the opposing batsmen being made to look inadequate by bowlers operating with unfair advantage.

He should be punished for life ban.. Not just ball tampering issues... Don't forget about his sledging and fighting with players, Joe root, de kock and etc
Think who is the worst team in sledging? They have to do something about it...
It's time for CA and they have to do something their team.

Not answering direct questions looks suss. Especially after he alluded to the fact there were others involved and they just haven't been exposed. That was early on in the piece.

1 year is jus too harsh. Maximum should be 3 months. They were wrong on their part and regret it very much. People only see the negativity and no one notices how much they have contributed to the Australian cricket team. We don't know what must've happened in the dressing room or what convinced them to take this decision but they can be forgiven and given a second chance to make up for their mistake. People should really chill cause worse things have happened. And Australia is not very powerful without Smith and Warner. They were the alphas of the team. It's just sad and heartbreaking to see this. 😞 mistakes are made by everyone and they have taken full responsibility for it. They deserve a second chance to rectify it, for all they wanted was for their country to win. They were just two desperate captains who would do anything for their country to win..

  • @sammaynard2021
    @sammaynard2021 Před 6 lety +1

By not answering questions just looks more suspicious as to who else in the team knew about this cheating. It is a failure by CA that they haven't come clean about team involvement. Obviously there has been cheating in the past as Warners silence spoke volumes.

They weren't Australian. We need to reassure the world we don't tolerate this kind of thing... They have already made millions, so i do almost feel bad for the young batsmen who hasn't had his chance to make his money yet. And that just makes what Smith,Warner and whoever else did that much worse.

AUSTDOG1.. Unfortunately what reassurance Cricket Australia is trying to give to everyone in the Cricketing World can't be really felt, mainly due to the fact that other culprits are either lying or hiding...Its difficult to gain the trust back in this fashion..
Ball tempering is not a big offence and if a player makes a mistake I feel its pardonable..
BUT if it is all planned...
and if even non playing members are also involved..
And if 5 times World Champion does that...
then only banning 3 players should not bring the trust back...

Yup my heart goes out to him. All this millys he's gonna lose in sponsorship deals. 99% of people in that priveledged position would not cheat.
He did as well as being a scum bag on and off the field for how ever long.
Smith did and is now crying like a fkin baby. Course they fkin regret it.
Would they have been in tears after they won the test match like in the Ashes. Err no
Knew there was something totally false about Smith in his Ashes interviews. Now we all know why.
If anyone seriously thinks especially after this interview they didn't cheat in the ashes then lol
