I love seeing the boss fights as they progress because it shows how well you've improved overtime. By the end of the game, it's either called Crit of Mana or Angela of Mana. XD
If there's anything that's pretty pleasant is how great Angela and even Light/Light Kevin worked out. Angela was... alright in the original, but in the remake, she's a beast once she gets her Class 3. Overall, it's pretty nice to see how you understand the boss fights (even with some frustrating fights like Angela's and Kevin's Class 4 fights), and even some other boss details that I didn't realized on my first run such as Bill and Ben reviving each other.
One thing I've noticed about this game is that its villain vs villain.
In the Riesz/Hawkeye story, Belladonna and Mallochio kill the Dragon Lord and the Masked Mage.
In the Angela/Duran story, the Dragon Lord kills the Masked Mage and destroys the Dark Majesty's corpse.
In the Charlotte/Kevin story, the Masked Mage kills the Dragon Lord and destroys the Dark Majesty's corpse.
Im glad Charlotte got to slap Gore one last time.
thanks god the No Damage bonus applies only if the controlled character isn't hit rather than all characters lmao
lol yeah... Bil and Ben would be straight up impossible otherwise without some maximum Over Leveling/Solo/NG+ cheese (among other bosses), the AI is so bad against them xD
Hey Omega, thanks for taking the effort to make this! Know some of these were hard (Bil and Ben, Flame Benevodon), but there were some awesome moments in this remake. Watching Kevin make bosses explode is always entertaining! UWU
31:54 THAT'S A LOTTA DAMAGE!!!!!
1:34:42 bring out the Holy Hand Grenade! XD
Man, I know the first boss is easy, but starting that off with Angela without her magic still felt like showing off.
Damn good stuff man
It took a long time to get into, but I started to really appreciate this game as I played it more. It's mindblowing to think the original came out in 1995 and has aged so well. It's not perfect, some parts are repetitive, the quicksand is really stupid, and there's balance issues with some classes being way better than others, but man is it a tremendously fun game that captures the magic of the SNES era but in a modern package. It's not as good as something like Dragon Quest 11 which is the perfect "modern old school" jrpg, but wow is it surprisingly good.
very epic fights, though screw the fire benevodon (the flaming turkey head), still GG :D
It makes sense for the Benevodon of Light to be weak to Dark attacks because it IS a monster of light.
Of course Fiegmund's clip was one where he had to be done in by Kevin. RIP
Imagine if the no damage bonus also include the Ai ally not taking damage as well :teehee:
Me see belladonna :oh :yeah:
Me see her turn into cat/wolf furry : oh nooo :yikes:
Me see the black rabbit: this is hardest optional boss?
See it go rabbit of Caerbannog: oh god where is the Holy hand grenade of Antioch,
Counteth to three!
Thou shalt not count to four
Nice boss showcase there. Shadow Angela (my version was Light instead of your Dark) was absolute hell. I made the mistake of trying to melee her the first time I fought her and it resulted in a Game Over. If you don't dodge her doublecast and her Class 4 CS (Light kept doing Blessed Pledge, instead of Ton Annihilation), you're dead meat.
I fought the light version on my 3rd playthrough and honestly her light CS ain't that much harder to dodge, its honestly more forgiving cause it doesn't have an instant Ice hitbox that comes out really fast, but rather its very slow light beams you can outrun (don't even need to roll them), the rest of the attack funny enough has the same amount of window of punish as the dark CS cause she does the pose and everything too lol
If anything the main thing about no damaging Angela is the spell combos and specially any spell combo that involves Lucent Beam+, that spell's hitbox is so freaking random, you need to be Ultra Instinct Goku to dodge it consistently (I CS'd through it when I saw I was too late on the roll in the video).
Thanks for the comment, glad you enjoyed the showcase!
Did someone ever mention how awesome you are on RPGs?
Still stuck trying to farm ??? seeds for the 2nd class change, I'm already over lvl 60 and I've managed to update only one party member lol
Were you not able to get all the ??? seeds out of the chests from each of the benevodon areas?
So you went Light route with three characters and dark with the other 3?
yeee, I was mostly memeing my first playthrough (pure dank playthrough) and people wanted the 2nd one to be pure light with the other 3 lol. Not optimal at all, but made it work xD
@@omegaevolution I'm sure the dark play through was tuff do to lack of healers while the light one was easy.
how are you supposed to no damage these fights when your allies AI is dumb as shit? I'm fine but they keep eating attacks.
