There is nothing to do with Btech.
Promotion is only based on experience. However during trade test, you will be given preference not on paper but overall.

If a person with degree in mechanical engineering got selected as technician in telecom, can he write departmental exam for je telecom after 3 years?? Or degree in electronics and communication engg essential for writing dept exam?
For Je Telecom Post, experience as MCM Telecom along with diploma in any engineering discipline or BSC is required. This promotion is carried out though railway departmental exams.

JE is higher pay scale compared to ALP. Railway always allows higher levels.
However it should be done through proper channel.

RPF is entirely different. Technician job is technical while RPF looks after security at stations.

I loved your presentation and content. .in fact of was among first 5 to like this. .anyway I have a query...how much time does it take to become je from tech 3 through ldce. ??is diploma needed or only 3 years service at that time of ldce exam?
It takes around 12-13 years to reach JE level as you need to get promotion from Tech-III to Tech-II to Tech-I and MCM. After you have good entered in MCM and gained some experience like 2-3 years, you are eligible for JE post.
Diploma is not required for JE post during departmental exam

Now I am writing rrb Alp & technician exam. If I qualify as grade 3 technician. After joining joining the job can I write departmental exam within 3 years to get promotion for the next level..or do I need to wait till 3 year to complete as grade 3 technician?
Eg: after 1 year of joining as grade 3 technician if I pass departmental exam can I get promote to next level immediately or do I need to wait to 3 years? Please my doubt

This cant be a generalized statement. Many ladies are already serving in technician posts.
Some posts may be difficult for women as Technician c&w etc. But Technician Telecom is relatively better.

This possibility is less than 2 percent. If one becomes SSE in 10 years from JE, then there is no monetary benefits as you will already be getting the salary structure of SSE after completing 10 years in JE.
But most of the divisions have ample SSE posts and vacancies are mostly available.
