At least Ren was quick on the uptake & followed Raphtaliaâs lead attacking the shadows.
Well, SOMEONE amongst them had to pick up the clue at some point. There's no point in these dumbasses still surviving if they don't start learning from their mistakes.

I mean, that's pretty usual, supports and tanks are usually the ones who have to be mindful of the enemy attacks and paterns. DPS just yell "I need healing" or pull agro before the tank does lol.
@@DarkErrant So I'm guessing those 3 are pretty much an accurate representation of the average DPS main? Thinking that tanking is completely unimportant and all that matters is damage, before proceeding to get their asses whooped once things start to get even somewhat tough?
I've never played a multi-player game with tanking in it in my life, so I'm legitimately wondering if that is how things often go.

DD'ler are complete retards and you as a tank must not only concentrate on tanking the boss but also babysit the DD'ler with like explaining what mechanic the DD's have to watch out for, which they ignore completely anyway, then they die and blaming YOU, like what the actual f*ck?!

They must of been the type of players that just brute forced their ways through games without thinking. Cause gaming 101 says that if attacking the boss straightforward like isn't working, then you need to find another method to beat it. Usually just look for the weak point and hit it
Memory serves early on they say that after a certain point the Tank/Support class becomes useless. Not very savvy gamers are they?

@@shimmyking4 Or that could just be blamed on the game development being unfair to a particular class. Sometimes it's just like that. The real problem is that the three Heroes are bullheaded and don't know how to improvise when Plan A doesn't work.
Games in 2019 tend to be on the easy side. From my experience, you can normally destroy most games by spamming effective moves against enemies until they fall.
unless your playing dark souls. ...or hollow knight ...or dead cells ... or most MMO's which is clearly the kinds of games that they are used to playing and are most like this world
edit by this i mean in those games you don't "find a weak spot" like in zelda or a similar game, you just dodge the enemy and then hit them back until they die.
I like how bow hero was down all the time doing something even more irrelevant than the other two heroes
He had the same reasoning as the Sword and Spear hero, to be fair. He just thought it was the figurine at the front of the boat that had to be destroyed.

The most ironic thing is, Naofumi wasn't a pro player. *And figured out how to make the boss appear in less that TEN MINUTES.*
The fact that he isn't following a pattern from a game helps.
Naofumi hears them all say they need to summon a Soul Eater? Okay, fine. But they're all disagreeing on *how* it's done. Naofumi sees what they're doing isn't working. He checks the enemy stats, notices it's funky shadow, and has Raphtalia hit it with light.
Seriously, that would have taken three minutes, tops for even a n00b to figure out.
@@SnowyWolborg plus he wasn't even using a technical game sense but a "ok what's unusual with this picture here" Naofumi would make for an excellent D&D player.
@@SnowyWolborg They are casual players, they never bother learning games and just play the game on easy mode and watch the story missons(Side Quest gives you the best gear and skills in the long run, any gamer can tell you that)
actually, naofumi was quite a seasoned MMO player, where he managed a guild back on Earth and so had more knowledge of administering and commanding
The other 3 stupidly assumed that this world would be just like the games they played, instead of actually treating their new lives as reality and trying to learn all of the skills and nuances of how things actually worked. Naofumi was quickly forced to take this world seriously, and he adapts accordingly.
Naofumi uses "read you HUD" and "look for mechanics".
It is very effective.

I think that Ren saying that they have to kill the skeleton multiple times just means that in his world to spawn the boss, they just kept hitting the skeleton until someone accidentally hit the shadow

Those three heros are worthless incompetent fools. They saw Naofumi as a hindrance but doing so cost them a crucial fighting strength. Defense and strategic planning. Being able to attack means nothing if you are unable to survive an enemy's powerful strike. Sword, Bow, and Spear couldn't even cooperate.
Remember they told him before not to slow them down??

I may not have seen every detail concerning this anime but I know enough from this to understand the three stooges didn't get that far without some hand holding. The fact they were unable to execute a coordinated attack means they didn't even have training sessions for facing strong and/or highly evasive opponents. They left Naofumi to fend for himself and he became the most valuable member of the four heros and probably the only one deserving of the title.
@@Sora-md1ye hell even the Raid Boss: Glass even acknowledged Naofumi as a hero before the fight. If a Powerful enemy acknowlegde you as a threat/someone worth mentioning, you know you are doing something right.
It looks like they didn't even bother researching more skills.

Naofumi is the Kiritsugu of this world.
What he lacks in fighting power, he compensates with tactics and analysis.

non of them seems to have played an RPG game, it is basic knoledge that the most effective way to deal with Dark monsters is to use light attacks. it seemed the Dimencinal Soul Eater had 100% recistent against Lightning and 90% against wind and ficical (it also could be that Filo made damege because she is a wind creature using wind attacks and was also buffed by the rage mode). GlasseÂŽs attacks seemed to be Light Arrows, so I guess he has a 90% weakness to ligh attacks.
This reminds me of a game of overwatch I played where everyone shit on me for picking symmetra and got salty when I got player of the game for defending the point. (Solo Iâll add)

They way they also also isekaid there helped, all three went from a game, Naofumi went from a book which means he realized quickly that wasn't a game (the traumas probably helped a lot too)

I said this on another video, but I can't help it. Ironically, of all isekais, even more than SAO, this felt like a game boss moment on a jrpg being put to anime form. (Log Horizon though, was the most accurate on the battle strats)

@@hetchy2353 ironic because in this series, naofumi is driving it a point home that the world that they were transported to is not a game but reality. Compare it to the few isekai that try to model it to a game setting.

The sentiment with the whole "Stop treating this like a game" mindset is that there are real stakes and lives on the line, so getting hung up on little things, like fighting alongside a person you dislike, are incredibly petty.

Raphtalia'a light magic seemed pretty effective against the Soul Eater and the second Soul Eater was defeated in one shot with a light attack.
My question is, why didn't Raphtalia keep attacking with light? What kind of RPG player doesn't spam a Super Effective move? Or did she run out of Mana?
The light attack hardly did any damage, since Raphtalia isn't high leveled enough. It's like in Pokemon, when you hit a fire pokemon with a water move, it's going to be super effective, but if you're thirty levels weaker, you're hardly gonna do any damage.
An in many cases, it's actually smarter NOT to go for the super effective moves, either because they sometimes do more damage (stat wise), or because other attacks might trigger secondary effects (poison, stats buff/debuff, etc).
Naofumi is the only competent one of them.

The enemy is not dying, so you just assume you have to kill it multiple times?

His team were the best characters, but also the weakest on that ship. Is a shame they end in tragedy....

The anime series released in 2019 just covers much of what happened in the first 4-5 Light Novel volumes. Their bubble will burst after the world event coming in the next season.
