I was operating the "BIG WHEEL" on Skegness fairground at the time all these so called skinheads came charging into the fairground trying to jump on rides to attack us , but shut one end of the fairground so they only could get in one gate, we then formed a gauntlet they had to run through first with all us fairground lads and gave a few a pasting before the police come to break it up they was only about 25 of us to about 400 skinheads . They all regrouped later and waited for us to finish work , but we got out of the back entrance leading onto the beach so we could slip around them .we got in a skirmish with a group of them but we got the better of them and think they decided not to push their luck .but to be honest their were the best days of my life ,it was when Skegness had a great atmosphere .great community and even with the bits of trouble the town was buzzing we had lots of fun ,I feel sorry for this generation of mobile phone and game machine addicts they have missed out .
This is brilliant, talking about skinheads, like todays news reporter saying a number of chavs were taken into custody, we need to return to these days far to much political correctness nowadays..
they're not skinheads, they're mods. they used to wear denims and parkas when they were on their scooters and for fighting, although I have to admit the presenter is better dressed than most of them, lol
They are not mods you doughnut, lol they are skinheads, might be a few among them look like Mods but the year 1970 is when the first gen Skinheads were at their peak.. beside i did`nt notice any scooters.

@@indy5624 Yep, they are skinheads. The first generation of skinheads had slightly longer hair more often than not a Number 4 or more.
