Western countries are not naive about Islam.

Facing up to this is the first step to understanding and tackling the real enemy within.

I understand that there was more to it. Galileo had claimed that the planets moved around the sun in circular orbits, which contradicted the observations and is incorrect; the planets move in elliptical orbits. The Jesuits long had their own observatory in Rome, established in 1580. The Vatican Advanced Technology Telescope is now at the Mount Graham observatory. The discovery of exoplanets was one of the spin-offs of the Jesuit work in producing a catalogue of stellar spectra, a project which has been in progress for over 50 years.

Woke has brain washed a generation of University Students in to supporting Islam without question and knowledge. And the generation of muslims growing up now support Palestine and Islam without actually witnessing how the regeme punishes with violence against anyone who dares evern question Islam....I wonder, after growning up in Free Country, would they adapt to living in Iran!.....and it goes on and on.... What do these countries I mentioned have in common? They all embraced secularism and now they're ALL Isla mic Republics. Western countries were warned not to make the same mistake many times. Western countries ignored these warnings. Isl am loathes secularism. And Is lam has defeated secularism many times, effortlessly. Western countries were warned about this too. And western countries again ignored warnings about how weak secularism is against Isl am.

Majority of them not only recite the holy text as opposed to reading it because they dont understand the language, they merely regurgitate the clergies talking points on concepts such as democracy and secularism etc.
Those born into it are repeatedly told not to think or exercise logical thought when it comes to religious teachings as the word of God is beyond human being intelectual capacity.
Islam is no different from nearly all other religious believes from time immemorial.

@@Threemore650 you are correct. However, when the speaker said 'he was tortured' I expect most people took that to mean he was physically tortured - as use of the passive verb 'tortured' implies something done to you by others - rather than your own psyche torturing you with thoughts of what might be in store for you. Perhaps I'm being a tad pedantic - but people on the left will pounce on any inaccuracy to present we on the right as all 'stupid' - we shouldn't give them any openings or ammunition.

I saw that too, but I feel it was a tiny mistake in the importance of his overall conversation.

@@janoconnor2706 I agree he talked a lot of sense - but it just reminded me of other interviews where right wing speakers are undermined and attacked for any trivial error, while people on the left are not picked up on errors at all - more a point on strategy than a criticism of what he said, which I by and large agreed with.

It was always called Iran in Iran. In the west, it was called Persia.

I have an instinctive feeling that Younes' primary aim is to depict the Iranian opposition as weak, thereby prolonging the lifespan of the Islamic Republic.

Exactly. He asked the west to call it Iran. For Iranians it was always Iran. And Persians are Iranians.
