  • Destiny (Steven Bonnell) spent two weeks in Israel talking with people and observing the situation on the ground. He travelled a full day with Yishai Fleisher through ancient Biblical Hebron and its surroundings - meeting Jews and Arabs from all backgrounds - ending with this fascinating detailed discussion.

Yeah. One has in depth knowledge and lives the real narrative every day (Yishai), while the other parachutes in for 2 weeks and says that as an American he doesn't really care how things turn out as long as both sides accept whatever outcome results (Destiny).
He is still shallow-minded on this subject, working on the level of Grievances and not on a deeper level of legal rights (that in this case has been established for 100 years in favor the Jewish People), which the Arabs refuse to honor and respect and instead chose and prefer violence and Genocide and the false "Glory" it gives them. Get real. This is not about "Oppressor and oppressed". This is about Criminal-Perpetrators (Muslims) and Victims (Jews). Stop killing Jews and stop taking Jews hostage.

Destiny has been making the Islamic unity is a myth argument recently in multiple videos but misses the point that unity doesn’t exclusively mean ‘active and physical participation’. Sports fans aren’t involved physically on the field by playing the game but without support people tend to lose their morale and motivation significantly quicker. Seeing hundreds of thousands of people world wide defend what you did on October 7th unites and empowers you. Wars have been instigated by people who weren’t actively involved in those wars. Calling it a myth is a pretty reductionist take.

    • @nattteo
      @nattteo Před 21 hodinou

Idk, I feel like Afghanistan is one of the best supporting arguments for what he's saying, it's a state that has multiple different competing Islamic factions that are all doing their best to kill the other, supported by outside Islamic interests. The state is surrounded by other Islamic states that are all probably going to be going to war with it in a few years due to geographic and other issues in the region. If Islam was really a monolith, I don't think you'd see it fractured to the extent it is today.

@@nattteo I definitely see your point and Destiny’s aswell. My point isn’t to say the Islamic world is completely in tact and united and forms this perfect, synchronized front to destroy the state of Israel. All I’m saying is that calling Islamic unity (at all) a myth because they’re usually not fighting the same wars anymore is taking it a bridge too far.
American soldiers aren’t currently fighting in Gaza and dying for Israel by the dozens but would you call the unity between Israel and the US a myth?

@@guydroogcomcomparing Arab countries and non-Arab isla mic countries is where people miss the mark. Isl am was in its essence Arab imperialism, and thus even Arab countries with a sizable non Muslim pop will still be much more unified in the core tenets (anti Jwish being one of those tenets) and culture. That’s why for example Irans population is much more pro jwish despite it being the most Isla mic country… it has a rich connection to its non Islamic past. Afghanistan is not far behind. They are perfectly willing to let Israel deal with the problem of jihadism and extremism of the population of gaza. I understand she was de-indoctrinated later but the point is when “ordinary citizens” are committing atrocities, it doesn’t really matter why they are doing what they are doing when the results are the same.

@11:30 While that could have worked, unfortunately it took just 2 days of water and electricity being provided by Israel to be shut off for the screams of famine, collective punishment, genocide and whatever else to start circulating the world. By then the international pressure was already huge and any further movement by Israel like that would have had massive long term consequences of how Israel is interacted with on the global stage, the US included.
Furthermore, actions like that would have made the hostages seem like a secondary goal for the war, and back then there were still hopes for legitimate exchanges to return them home. The pressure to reduce Israel's actions combined with the unknown state of the hostages made the "hard and fast" take on the war impossible, regardless of whether the international community actually knew how to deal with Hamas or not. Now we're stuck at this terrible position where we have to go door to door and sacrifice soldiers for the sake of keeping the international community happy.

Hardly anyone talks about this, so thank you. The main complaint by Egyptians to me is that Israel won't let them return to Gaza, and maybe there is some risk. But keeping vulnerable people TRAPPED in a war zone is despicable, and against international law. The Egyptians seem to support the war strategy of Hamas which is to use the human death toll as negative publicity for Israel. As much as Israelis like to paint the picture of Palestinians being naturally violent, Destiny makes the tremendous point of how educated Palestinians actually are (or rather were before all of their schools and universities were blown up). His takeaway from his trip so far is largely the humanity of the Palestinian people, a humanity I wish more of Israeli society could share at this depressing time. If anything for the sake of Israelis themselves.

Destiny's answer is an irresponsible childish deflection and a scam. He is operating on the shallow level of sorting out grievances and not on the deeper, honest level, of analyzing the competing legal rights of the disputants and supporting, like a grown up, the side that has the greater legal merit; in this case the Jewish People. This was all legally sorted out 100 years ago, but the Arabs refuse to respect the legal rulings. Study the San Remo conference 4-25-1920, the Anglo-American Treaty 1925, the League of nations Mandate for Palestine-Israel, the UN Trusteeship for Palestine-Israel, the recognition of the State of Israel by both the US and the USSR, the re-possession of Arab-occupied sovereign and intended-sovereign Jewish territories by Israel in the June 1967, etc.

"It is known among the villagers around Hebron that the people of Yata were originally Jewish. Moreover, the meaning of the clan’s name-Mukhammara-comes from the Arabic root KH-M-R, which means “wine.” Thus, the clan name means either “winemakers” or people having some connection to wine. As is well known, having anything to do with wine is a major sin to Muslims. In that context, today’s Mukhammara clan members, as good Muslims, almost assuredly would have nothing to do with wine. But their Jewish ancestors clearly did-hence the name of their clan.
Even more interestingly, it is common knowledge among the locals in the Hebron area that after the 1967 Six-Day War when Israel took control over Judea and Samaria, heads the above-mentioned clan and other clans in the area, even some living in the city of Hebron itself, went to then-Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Dayan-who was in charge of the newly acquired territories-and asked him to help them return to Judaism. Dayan rebuffed them."

As someone whose parents came from this region, it’s a known fact that Ashkenazi Israelis (such as Dayan) do not understand the region and often hold the belief that history started with them. They don’t realize that this hatred has nothing to do with them. Here is a quote written CENTURIES prior by Maimonides, who was one of the most respected influential figures of his time by Muslins and Jws alike:
“God has entangled us with this people, the nation of Ishmael, who treat us so prejudicially and who legislate our harm and hatred…. No nation has ever arisen more harmful than they, nor has anyone done more to humiliate us, degrade us, and consolidate hatred against us.”

The Rabbis idea to annexe all the land from the river to the sea and grant residency to the Palestinians is to create an arphatheid state. Perception. I’ve suggested before, basically to try and approach matters obliquely… from an angle less emotionally charged I.e take ‘Bukele schools BBC reporter’ on the India Today channel; that’s a very impressive summary of Globalist “Recipes”. The like of which we see in Ukraine, and against Imran Khan in Pakistan, and previously in Lydia, Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq…
Then see the short excerpt of the recent Tucker Carlson interview with Bukele; he cites studies that suggest that over 60% of El Salvadorians in the USA wish to return to their homelands. You couldn’t say that about Venezuelans; but, God willing, that might change if Trump/MAGA can bring the “recipes” to an end.
Above all else… remember this is about perception, read the comments on that Tucker interview; those people expressing heartfelt admiration and goodwill toward Bukele and his ‘Israel’ of Latin America are almost certainly overwhelmingly supporters of Israel, and they get accused of being the “isolationists” and much worse. It’s absurd, it’s evil… it’s unsustainable.

16:10 Destiny makes a good point about having a lens to view the world. He mentions the ‘Red Pill’ but I’m not sure he really had in mind the red pill of accepting the ‘true’ nature of women. I.e just because for most of history the vast majority of women have had to realise their maternal eudimonia (potential) early in life, men should never assume ergo that’s what they inherently are like by nature. I.e with the advent of the pill, the rejection of God, industrial scale abortion and a massive reduction of stigma concerning promiscuity it is very rare that a girl will save herself for marriage; according to Jordan Peterson, I think 38 is now the average age for a western woman to have her first, and perhaps only, child.
That means two decades of probably having multiple sexual partners and that is the great and universal cause of the corruption of the moral sentiments. Those corrupting effects are largely camouflaged, ‘ameliorated’, by progressive liberal governments who print vast unaccounted-for sums of money to fund this whole sordid affair: see Mary Eberstadt for consequences of the Sexual Revolution.
That’s a lens that I think should be a starting point. A much more philosophically deeper, related, and powerful lens is Iain McGilchrist’s Hemisphere Hypothesis

Destiny at least is honest, in that he has no feel or attachment to what happens to Israel; it's quite cold... I can't understand how someone is aware of Jewish history can be so callous & I believe he has grandparents who are survivors. There are a few holocaust survivors still, my mother is one of them; so the sense of an existential crisis is very real & not at all abstract.
    I appreciate he is
actively looking for solutions to the "conflict"...feels a little dry towards Jews & more warm towards the "Palestinian cause".
I don't look for antisemitism & I believe everyone is closely related, yet there are fundamental differences that I believe has made Jews very strong; & I wish this for the Palestinians. They are a very capable people, but there is a victimhood mentality; had the Jews given sway to this mindset certainly there wouldn't be an Israel the way it is today.
Jewish history clearly shows a people kicked out all over the globe, but they never gave into the desire or expectation of being taken care of. I got the sense that
Destiny does not acknowledge Jewish history other than Jews being prideful; therefore reluctant to sing its praises & not without quickly shifting to how educated the Palestinians are.
I can't get around his lack of emotional connection to the Jewish people, I would have asked him if he identifies as a Jew (without the religious part, as he already claimed agnostic)...& if so, what does it mean to him.
