Laowa is very well known for architecture and real estate contents, and Viltrox lenses are great for portrait and landscape, they just don't get enough credits from marketers but professionals definitely use them
Grazie per l'impegno e lo sbatti che ci metti per i tuoi video. Sarebbe bello se parlassi anche nell'ambito Cine, di obbiettivi e camere di fascia più alta, però immagino sia un casino da fare.
Well.. The 50 F1.4 GM is made in China for those who dontknow. It's pretty good lens. Most other GM are made in Thailand and only the 300/400/600 is made in Japan. Batis made in Japan too.
Canon is fooling itself, if it thinks that it can sustain sales in a shrinking market by taking some sort of elitist stance on its hardware. If their glass was more reasonably priced, and if the digital camera market wasn't shrinking, they might be able to pull it off. Their glass is excellent, no question about it, but so is Sony's and Nikon's, both of which sell their premium glass and their bodies for less than Canon. Since you can adapt a multitude of lenses to a mirrorless body, someone looking to upgrade from DSLR to mirrorless would be wise to look at other options. The only people who will stay loyal to a brand, regardless of prices, are professionals fully invested in an ecosystem and hardcore amateurs with available cash. But those two groups aren't enough to support a company. As an average amateur, I'm looking at Sony because of its huge stable of lenses, both brand and 3rd party; I'm looking at Nikon because the Z mount is the most adaptable of all mirrorless brands, and more and more lenses are becoming available. I, like many others, are going to go where my wallet lets me go. I wish Canon the best of luck, but they're likely cutting their own throats.
distinguishing the maker by ethnicity doesn't seem to be helpful really, rather it should be by the manufacturers themselves since that's what matters most. You shouldn't lump them together because i'm sure Viltrox, Laowa, 7artisans, ttArtisans, Meike, Brightin Star would all be competing for market.
That's a mistake, they are not the first... There are already autofocus lenses from Chinese manufacturers for E-mount for example Meike alreadyade multiple lenses for E mount with autofocus
Now it makes sense why Canon will not open their R mount to third party manufacturers. If you were Canon, would you want to lose money to a third-party Chinese company who's making lenses for your top cameras? I know I wouldn't. I applaud Canon for standing firm.
@vispolonia2670 I know that they have a few lenses that third-party manufacturers make. But not their top lenses. I don't blame Canon for wanting to keep all their money in house.
As a consumer though, competition is always better. So it will be to canon's loss when they lose potential new customers because they refuse to open their mount when especially sony is competing so well in the mirrorless realm.
This is good. We need to bring these insane lens prices way down.
Sirui, 7artisans and others have cine zoom lenses but only with manual focus. The obvious step is going autofocus.
I want to test the viltrox 85mm f1.4 and 135mm f1.8 lab. I love my viltrox 85mm f1.8 for weddings! When can we see them coming?
Would you say Viltrox is on the level of Samyang now? Others need to work more on optics before even thinking about AF
Laowa is very good actually

Is an FX3 II coming in 2025? I wanna buy an FX3 but I'm unsure if I should wait, don't really need it
probably ;)
@@andrea_pizzini Thank you Andrea I will wait
@@dinbaliThe FX3 is at its lowest right now with the EDU discount at 3198 USD.. I personally think that a V2 is coming out

Any news on release date for the Viltrox pancake? Any thoughts on the Viltrox versus Samyang pancake?
no info yet
Great news, I really hope Viltrox will make an X-mount version of the 135mm. It will be the best supertele prime lens for Fujifilm X system.
can't wait for the 1.2 apsc lenses

si, non ho tempo per parlare di tutto :)
Viltrox 70-200 is coming?
Any sony rx100viii news?

My 50mm f1.4 GM is made in Japan 😊. You can definitely see the better build quality when compared to my 24-70gmii which is made in Thailand.
PLEASE LET IT BE LAOWA!!!
yongnuo has 12-35mm
True! But that's MFT and a bit of a crappy lens :)
I’d really like to see the current ‘missing’ lens- a 16-50 F2.8 or 3.5 full frame.
Any Sony A7V news ? 👀
they haven't updated sony a7siii so sony a7v isn't coming soon
May 2025
not coming in 2024
I expect a wide lens and tele.
Too much standard

Yeah, Canon users can use EF or kit lenses. No need to confuse them with lens choice.

You applaud Canon for making you pay more for a closed shop? Why? I won’t buy Canon as I can’t buy third party lenses.
I buy Sony cameras instead of Canon because I can use third party lenses made for Sony E mount.
