    This song is crazy bro. The rhythm section feels like an endless loop.

    Ben your sax solo here is insane. I feel like I just watched an all time memorable sax solo that I'll remember forever like Coltrane's solos on Giant Steps/Moments notice. Keep up the good music!

    very cool harmonies Ben chooses here! very nice! the constant change between the very dark colors of things like the first chord (i think D7(b9b13)) and then the fresh happy voicings of G and F maj make it indeed sound like someone who is telling a nostalgic story of the past.

      @@crpat Whatever it is, to my ears, the deliberate detuning is overkill, neither does the guy resolve it by end solo ;(.

    • @sonen3
      @sonen3 Před 3 lety +2

      @@DeanMccormick Lol it's an amazing solo. It is twisting and turing, but beautifully following the other band members in both timbre and feel. In my point of view this solo is not about resolving it or being in key. It's all about following the core feel of the song, which is the twisting and turning (as also heard in Bens solo). Or I mean, that is my take :), we all prefer different solos

      Abdias Armenteros uses a reso chamber. Though check out his mouthpiece demos (syos, 10mfan, and maybe marmaduke?). Manages to sound like himself anyway. Kinda crazy
