The celebration with Christian and mom’s reaction after the win was everything here. So sweet.
Now mjf is the only one out of the four pillars of aew to have not yet won a championship in aew.

How did it make since for Cody to be the first TNT CHAMPION and the guy who already beat him on PPV can't even get into the tournament? How does it make sense for Darby, Sammy, War Horse, Sonny Kiss, and Fuego to get title shots over MJF?

Yea Jungle Boy said that he and his dad were pretty close despite his parents separation and that Luke always supported his decision to get into wrestling but unfortunately Luke passed away before Jungle Boy (I think his legal name is Jack Perry) was able to make his debut (if I remember correctly Luke died from complications of a couple of strokes) so to see him have that moment, almost like he was telling his dad ‘Look pops I finally did it’ was happy but also sad to see….I’m sure that if Luke had been alive he’d be in the first row cheering his son on the loudest
Saw this with my family and we literally screamed at what we saw 😱. Best wishes and really pray his recovers.

I am amazed how the tag team division in AEW has remained consistently good throughout the years.
That was a great match I wish jungle would have it the kill switch successfully but great match it a 5 star match
Looks like with lights going out twice they were planning on something like Black and his new minion to debut but Rey's arm caused them to do a audible.
You know it’s a bad injury when they blur him out like that. Fenix is tough and will hopefully be okay to return eventually.

Jurassic Express were among the very first wrestlers that made me fall in love with AEW back in mid-2020, and it’s so gratifying for them to finally be the champs!

As much as my heart is broken for Fenix, I am so happy to see Jurrasic Express finally capture gold. They have been a staple in the tag team divison. I know they will do a hell of a job carrying the divison. Rey wish you a speedy recovery.

Hoping Fenix has a great, smooth recovery. He’s such an incredible young talent, and watching AEW without him isn’t the same. That was honestly one of the worst injuries I’ve ever seen, and that’s why you have to give your respect to these talented athletes who risk so much for our enjoyment.
Not sure why they replayed it like 5 times 🤷🤷 Thoughts and prayers to the man. No doubt he'll come back stronger than ever.

for those wondering, you can see Christian giving out new instructions at 2:48 but its so damn well hidden, AEW is just so good at keeping the immersion going, that no one knows if there was an alter finish or not. @@renelimas333 It look like a completely torn UCL or LCL if I was to guess. It's a lot quicker and less intensive recovery than say an ACL or Achilles, but it'll knock him out of action for months if it is. Godspeed on his recovery.

His lower arm from his elbow completely folded backwards, so his hand met his shoulder.
Poor Fenix, he was in agony.

Hurts to see Fenix take that nasty landing on his arm I know he'll be back strong that's gonna take some time to fix. Penta can do singles run while his brother recovers Dante has done a lot in singles himself recently and he also same boat with his brother getting injured. That tag match was incredible though congrats to Jurassic Express.
Im sure it affects some of the stories but penta has no trouble doing singles.

The way Fenix's arm bent completely backwards was absolutely disgusting, hopefully he's alright and it's not too severe of an injury. The match was still incredible though and it's about damn time Jurassic Express finally became AEW World Tag Team Champions, they deserve it and it was honestly destined to happen even 2 years ago when they weren't nearly as popular as they are now.
I wanted it so bad but what about boys Santana and Ortiz
Yeah, they do deserve it! Not the way they would have wanted to win it, Lucha seemed understandably upset. I wonder if they were booked to win it anyway? I Hope Penta gets some deserved time off while Fenix recovers. The silver lining is everyone loves a surprise comeback when the brother's comeback will hopefully be epic.

I love how Luchasaurus can be a monster like Kane used to be but still do insane moves for his size. Crazy to think Jungle Boy has grown into a main event talent very shortly and I love that they are still a team and just won gold. Hope Fenix recovers from his injury that looked nasty as hell. Fenix and Penta are tough as nails and they will be back better than ever I'm sure.

Every now and then if I need to cheer myself up, I'll come back to this match because I was there live with a few friends that night.
Jack Perry is one of my favorite talents homegrown in AEW (even with the Brawl Out London controversy) and seeing him win his first championship in AEW in person is a memory I'll always hold dear.
Speedy recovery Rey - one of the men that got this lapse fan solidly back in Pro Wrestling.

@@destructionman1 exactly. They were seemingly off television for a little bit after the cage match too. And then they lost the AAA titles to FTR. Could have been a lot better. But a lot of great pairs are in the division with more to come.

I'm so happy for LuchaSaurus. Like Jungle boy gets so much (well deserved) attention but He's on the same level which makes their team so great. Luchasaurus deserves a lot more singles matches and looks when it comes to stardom, he's so damn great and I'm glad he's a champion in AEW.

I think Jungle Express was booked to win from the get go but once Fenix got hurt (maybe he was supposed to be the one to eat the pin) they had to change it on the fly but make it look natural to avoid causing a panic so Penta took the fall
@@blurryphoenix I doubt it. At no point do you see Bryce communicating with either Penta or Jack. I doubt that they even realized how severe the damage was at that point. If anything I think that was more of a "holy shit, I can't believe that worked" look.

Fenix, man you've got a lot of wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery . As it was mentioned by JasonParadise, those folks put themselves on the line everytime we see them and more at live shows. This was one of the title matches , and each match had a variety of emotions for me , and being a longtime fan of tag team wrestling this match, not taking anything away from the other title matches , rather one of those diamonds that no one saw coming and there was so much heart in this match , I was beside myself then and each replay, and that s how you Debut Pro Wrestling on TBS, and I know there's more to come . All of us, we the Pro Wrestling Fans can't wait and more than 100% behind AEW. We now have real pro wrestling for us through you all, who happen to be fans too. Be kind to each other . Peace Ya'll.

Im not saying its Luchasaurous fault but you see why every big man that does a choke slams holds their opponent till the very end to protect them. he let go too early and clearly Fenix wasn't at the proper angle. classic rookie mistake. hopefully fenix makes a full recovery he will be out for months for sure.
@@matthewjuarbe5826 i don’t necessarily think that was the case, I don’t think it was anyone’s fault really. Just an unfortunate circumstance, Fenix’s arm was flared out sort of like he was trying to break his fall and anticipate the landing. No blame on either fenix or luchasaurus, just some bad luck.
@@da0701 exactly I’ve been watching wrestling since 1998 when I was 5 years old and I’ve come to learn that sometimes even when u plan a spot down to the letter accidents can still happen…for example when Darren Drozdov (Droz) was wrestling D’Lo Brown at a Smackdown taping in October of 1999 (thankfully they’ve never shown the footage of that match) and D’Lo lifted Droz up to do his running powerslam (a move he’d done dozens of times before) but unfortunately despite the fact that the spot was planned and rehearsed D’Lo slipped and his grip on Droz was loosened and poor Droz landed on his neck cracking two vertebrae and leaving him a quadriplegic (he eventually regained use of his arms and hands but remains in a wheelchair to this day) but to this day of u ask Droz or D’Lo what happened that night they’ll tell you that it was a total fluke thing and that they don’t blame each other one bit and they wish each other the best

I love how when the other teams come out Luchasaurus is just staring at them like he wants to take them all on at once. These two have become such an amazing tag team to watch with distinct personalities.
It's good to see a company treat their tag team division with enough care and respect to put on wonderful matches and tell great stories.

Sad to see how things ended for the Luchas and sad it kind of muted what was a very hard-earned end for a long journey for Jurassic Express. First time I saw it on TBS I took it as if he was saying “No we don’t need tables to beat them. We’re gonna beat them in the ring”
@@marlinraliuga3225 yeah that's what I got from it as well. He def wasn't scared to take that spot, he's used to going through tables. The table was too close/the chokeslam overshot him and he was about to land halfway on the floor so he put his arm out to brace the fall

I was very moved & touched seeing this gosh!! Great moment respect for tears of mom & sister. This moment is what we yearn for & its difficult to get but its happen to those who are passionate & love sports.
This might have been the intended outcome (especially having all the tag teams, Jericho and Malakai on stage/camera ready in the stands) but I think that match would have been a lot more flippy spectacle before the pin. With Fenix's injury of course it was cut short.

no "might" about it. they want to promote tag teams. in THIS wrestler's and historian's opinion tags are severely underrated. if done well, it can carry a franchise.
The fact that now only MJF of the four pillars have not won a single championship (well if we include the diamond ring) is mind-blowing. Alas, congrats to the Jurassic Express for the tag team gold win and hoping for speedy recovery for Fenix.

I saw this before watching the actual show and thought the blur was due to Fenix losing his mask while going through the table...boy I was wrong. Terrible injury in an otherwise great match. Truly hope Fenix makes a full recovery as he is one of the top wrestlers in the world. In every match of his, Fenix shows us something new or crazy. Heal up, brother. The show is always better with you on it.
That's exactly how it went down for me. And I too thought for sure the blurr was due to his mask coming off. I wish we were right. 🙏

They didnt look happy with the win. The look on jungle boys face said it all. I believe the lucha bros were supposed to retain but with that nasty arm break from rey they probably felt it beat to give it to the challengers.
