The School Resource Officer Program, initiated by Sheriff DuMond several years ago, has been a resounding success. Sheriff DuMond emphasizes the program's importance, stating that it not only bolsters security but also nurtures vital relationships between deputies and students. Incorporating a non-traditional K9 Deputy like Edge has further enriched these connections.
Corporal Clark and K9 Edge have won the hearts of staff and students alike, with their personalities and calming presence. Their service has been instrumental in averting and de-escalating situations, making the Delaware County Sheriff's Office SRO Program an invaluable asset in today's world.
