This video is excellent. Camera always well positioned, explanations thorough, took me all the way through my next job perfectly. Thank you. Not looking forward to it but I feel well armed to do it now. Mine is slowly dripping into the basin from the back, rocking hard until the spin gets faster, and after watching this, I'm betting there's a little water underneath too. I'm gonna go look!

I love the wall paper, I remember it at my uncles place maybe in the 70's.
good job by the way ;-)

I had to purchase a new washer last year. It started making grinding noises. I think the repair bought me a couple years of extra life out of the machine. I bought another GE top loading washer from a local appliance store.

I don't know if you saw my other video but I had to change the motor control board which got zapped by a lighting strike. I just recently had to buy a new washer because the gears starting making a grinding sound and I did not have the motivation to investigate. I guess I got another 3 years out of the machine but it was time to replace with a new one. I think it was about 20 years old.

would you please let me know how it removed the agitator?

I'm sure you know by now. However, for anyone else that might have that question. You just place your fingertips under the agitator and pull straight up. Don't be afraid, it won't break unless it already was.
