My Brother and I went out of our way to see the Stray Cats, twice in the 90s...each time at a club in Detroit. To this day, very few musicians/guitar plays every impressed me like Brian Setzer & Stevie Ray Vaughan. Setz...man, something about that guy walked on stage, hair piled high with lee rocker and slim jim...they all transformed...and would just Whale...
I have always been a classic cowboy country music fan. But, Rockabilly struck a nerve. Setzer has always been on the leading edge of reviving great music of the 40s and 50s....his Orchestra was cool...his rockabilly revival is cool to..though I'm not a fan of the piano. that was Jerry Lee...the only one that could pull that off. But I get it Setz's has been the front man for 40yrs... But...there was nothing like seeing the" Cats" in a club with maybe 100 people. only the Blasters and Paladins ripped it up like The Stray Cats...
They came on stage played hard for an hour and a half long on core...then leave you in aw
Rockabilly is best music ever. Brian Setzer is awesome musician and guitar player.
As an old time fan of original r'n'r, it's great that Brian is keeping it alive today. Really pleased that the young people love it too. Rock 'N' Roll will never die.

I count my self lucky for being born when I was so this music would be my job, remember at school career day, [[ what do you want to be when you leave here ? [ am going to be a Rockabilly singer and guitarist ]] some thing to fall back on [ ya Rockabilly ] is was when they thought rock n roll was Rockabilly, so the school dared me to sing/play some thing on stage at assembly, which we did a buddy holly song and a Eddie Cochran song and a gene Vincent song they stopped us them as the kid's in assembly were going crazy, our big break was opening for the stray cats in London, we have not looked back since,

@@melgrant7404 Yeah their album "40" from 2019 is great. Wish I'd gotten to see them in Amsterdam that year. I love this performance, but prefer Slim Jim and Lee Rocker up there.

du kannst den ja hören aber dann hörst du keine rockabilly egal wie du es drehst oder wendest.für mich ist das nur grausam was der abläßt.ein tipp von mir,kläre dich mal auf was rockabilly ist :-)

Hmmm. I love Brian and so on, but...this is not that good. They loose tempo and beat plus you cant hear the piano.

Nobody there is complaining. All bands etc have songs from the past.they play what they are known for mainly. It's what the fans want.
