If you toss the raisins,nuts and carrots in a little flour it keeps them from sinking to the bottom of the cake sometimes I use a cinnamon buttercream icing instead of cream icing

If I didn't I already say before, but carrot cake is by far my most favorite..
No raisins in this recipe, which is why I want to make it (this has always been something I've wanted to try baking homemade) since I'm not a fan of them lol new subscriber here saying hello and love your recipes on here :-)

Question... your verbal ingredients say you used 1+1/2 cups oil... written on screen says 1/2 cup oil... sure looked like 1 +1/2 cups to me even though it was in a mason jar so I’ll try the verbal instructions. Watching made my mouth water. .. .. was my husband’s favorite cake ..though he’s passed away (pancreatic cancer) I’ll think of him when I make it... ty for excellent video

Thanks! Actually I do have a cornbread recipe...I’ll have to dig it out of my box 😊 and YES!!! I finally got a Kitchenaid mixer! Although a hand mixer works for all my recipes, this may make things a little easier for me. 😊💜
Trying to get an idea on carrot recipe. ( New watcher). Wasn’t sure if it was half of cup of oil or cup and half. Verbal said 11/2 and instructions say 1/2. Love to make for Easter. Can you advise? Thank you.😀

Yum do you have any suggestions as to how to make it with boxed cake like what type of cake mix with it require?
They actually sell carrot cake mixes in the box and cream cheese frosting. Not as good as homemade of course but ok. Or..you could try a white cake mix and add the cinnamon, carrots, and pecans yourself - although I haven’t tried it. thanks for watching 😊
