I'm not religious, but this song shows exactly why I love Christian music. Some of it can really express the love people have for their God, and how much love they feel from Him in return. Even if you're not Christian, you can't deny the pure soul in this music.

I've been listening to Skillet since I was in middle school. I didn't know they were a Christian Rock Band until High school in my last year and it made my love for them grow more. This song in particular has a special place in my heart because it was one of the few songs from them my father loved dearly. He was a born-again christian and loved god with all of his heart. I lost him back in 2017 unexpectedly and I couldn't listen to this song for almost two years without wanting to break down into tears. Listening to this now, I'm still tearing up but I know in my heart that my dad is no longer in pain and he's up there with God doing what he loved the most. I miss you dad

I can relate a lot. I thought this band was just alternative rock and now realizing they're Christian rock. I also lost my father very suddenly in 2020. I know he would enjoy songs like these that I want to say, I've made it my quest in life to find more songs like these to share with my family to honor his memory.
To me Skillet is one of my very favourite bands because they are still fighting. They are still fighting against harm and evil, they still write music to lift one up. And they are still fighting for the refreshing and fulfilling love of God. They have strengthened me, my life and my faith for years now and they won't stop doing this. That's something I really appreciate. Thank you, Skillet, for your work. You're inspiring me and lot of people in this world.

This is the best song in the world, and here's why. It perfectly combines electronica with various types of slow rock, and has amazing lyrics that explains how God is truly there for you, and you have nothing to fear. For a christian rock song, this is beautiful, sad, and heavy all at the same time. With out bands like Skillet, the world would be much darker. Forever live Skillet!

I heard this song on the radio and I started crying my eyes out. I felt the presence of God as soon as it started playing. I turn on this song when I want to worship and I feel the presence in the same room with me as soon as I play it. It's so true to what I have been going through. It's like Skillet knew everything that happened to me in the past year, and put everything I have done to keep my faith in Jesus, and put it in a song. March 25th cannot come fast enough! I'm am so excited to see them in concert!

They always have showed their love for Jesus. Their songs are constantly talking about God. It might not be as obviously as this song but yeah. God is in almost all of their songs. They make their music for everyone

All their songs are about God. At all their concerts they speak at great lengths about Gods love. All songs dont need to be Christian radio friendly to be considered Christian.

Thankfully, my wife and I are Christians of the Oneness Apostolic Pentecostal belief. My wife recently was diagnosed with vascular dementia. Today I was driving home listening to the radio and the words to this song sunk in. Truly we can, and will, trust in the God the universe to hold it all together as we finish our journey and prepare for crossing the great divide.

It's Christmas time and I have a little light up star on my small table Christmas tree. The star dimmed out and died early in the evening and I know that means the battery is dead.. BUT the most symbolic thing happened when I listened to this song for the first time ever tonight... The star lit back up. Brighter than ever.. Seriously, I got CHILLS seeing that happen while listening to this!

This song has special meaning to me as well. The first time I ever experienced God before I was saved. In despair, I prayed to a God that I didn't know. I went outside and saw a few shooting stars. That's when I felt Him for the first time. I gave my life to Jesus, got filled with the Holy Spirit, and it has been me and God ever since. It's amazing the things He does to reach us.

How is it that a rock band like Skillet made a song about God that is better than like 99% of Christian Worship. It's quite incredible to me. One of my favorite lyrics of all time is from this song where it says " If you can hold the stars in place you can hold my heart the same." I love that.
So, I'm gonna tell a story really quick. When I was 4 years old, my dad took everything my family had and left, and I mean everything. Left my stay at home mom, 3 sisters and me. We have been struggling financially ever since. But my mom is an amazing Christan woman. She didn't give up. She worked 2 jobs, homeschooled all 4 of us, went to medical school and got us to church every time the doors were open. Every time we thought we would be homeless or faced a hard time, God got us through it. With our amazing church family and my moms Faith and willingness to truth God through the hard times. Now my mom is an NR working at a hospital and we're doing well 😊God has truly blessed us! This song has so much meaning! It reminds me the Faith that my mom has, and that I should have too. When times get hard, I shouldn't fear, because the maker of the world is holding me in his hands! Oh, and now after so many, many years, my dad is wanting to change his life around and follow Jesus. God is good!

This is my ex's favorite song. She recently broke up with me and we used to listen to this all the time when I went over to her house. God, can you please make sure she is protected and safe, I know its silly for me to pray for someone who hurt me to the point where I want to KMS, but Im trying to hang on. I didn't know this was a Christian rock band song at first, but it just stuck with me. When I listened to the words it finally struck me. It was a song about my religion. I was so happy that someone was brave enough to talk about let alone make an awesome song about religion

To think, I've been having a hard time feeling God's presence lately, but He's been here the whole time... Heh, never would've thought a CZcams comment would hit me like this.
Quentin the first time I heard this song I felt Him too, though I didn’t realize it at the time... one of my roommates at college confirmed what I had felt at chapel that day was the Holy Spirit (he’d felt His presence at the exact same time, like a strong but gentle wind blowing through the windowless building we were in, a presence that made me forget all about fancy singing and just scream out the name of Jesus) and I realized I’d felt him before back when I heard this song on the radio.

Ashley Dembeck you have to be baptized like Jesus full immersion. u know when a paster or someone who can baptize, there's usually a little pool or lake etc. once in the pool or etc. the paster will probably say in the name of Jesus Christ our lord and savior I baptize you. I've seen some videos where people actually can't move into water because of the demons in them its some crazy stuff. but better to be baptized and be clean by washing off all your sin

I remember Skillet playing this song during a concert. NEVER in my life have I been raising my hands in worship to the Most High God with tears in my eyes to jumping up and down and head banging to The Resistance. I absolutely love this band. They saved my wife's life and helped me realize I needed some adjustments in my faith. Praise God for giving them such amazing talent😁😊

One day, when my girlfriend and I were driving, i started to sing this song, from the beginning. My soul was singing, I felt it crying out for Jesus. I felt a thirst,. We had spent a time away from God, and as I sang, I began to cry of joy. Then I was moved to turn the volume up on our car radio, and this song was playing just along with what I was singing, do you know what I mean? It was word by word. It happens sometimes. My soul thirsts for God and it'll be a thought, or a song, and it will feel like there is a river flowing from withing me and it is as if I finally get some rest. If you've never met Jesus before, and you're reading this, He is calling out your name.

I feel like Skillet's fanbase is such a safe space for Christians and I'm so happy about that! Majority of people I know in real life just shove their atheism down others throats and mine. I don't even mention the fact that I'm a Christian at all. This is such a beautiful song 💙

I think they should do skillet unleashed tour live on DVD like they did on skillet Comatose comes alive DVD it was released 2008.
I agree, to me, the list should include a song from each older album, totaling 9 from those ( or they could play 2 from each album from Skillet (the album) up to Alien Youth possibly, but that idea would be a 20th Anniversary concert DVD, even better) and do the popular songs from Unleashed (Feel Invincible, Back From the Dead, I Want to Live, Burn It Down, Undefeated, etc.), the 3 notably Christian songs, and conclude with The Resistance.
They have Awake and Live DVD and I agree they need to have another DVD!

4 years ago this song came out, I was in school on recess when I saw the premiere, instantly it became one of my favorite songs, over 4 years and I learned to give it the value it deserves.
I shared this song with a very important girl for me and unfortunately she died in an accident 2 years ago .... I always come and I ask God to have her as an angel that wherever she is, she is happy despite everything I love this song and I will love her forever.
Maybe this isnt important but remember people never leave.... they always stay in our hearts....

This song is a true representation of what God has provided for us. Being LDS I know that He was the one who gave us life and allowed us to live this life. These kinds of songs are some of the most spiritual songs that I've heard, and I'm thankful for all of that
What you believe isn't the gospel of Jesus Christ, but a man made belief system by Joseph Smith who was proven to be a fraud. Your "elders" will hide this from you. LDS is a false gospel that claims it's followers will become gods and that Jesus is the brother of satan, and joseph smith is it's false prophet and that you will become mini gods. I have an illness called CRPS/RSD and it's extremely painful and there's nothing to cure it. The lyric "if you can calm a raging sea you can calm the storm in me" and singing that has helped me remember that God has me he's got a plan for me with this illness and I know it will be used for his glory even if I don't understand it at all💛🙏
