Sugar Pop vs. Zombie Tramp is waaaayyyyyy BETTER than the previous crossover comic Lady Death vs. Zombie Tramp ! I'm so glad that I was able to preorder the Sugar Pop vs. Zombie Tramp comic on Backerkit ! I received the digital copy a few days ago and loved every page. Now I'm just waiting on the physical copy to come in the mail.
It was an awesome comic. One of Dan Mendoza's best!
This is confusing to me. Dan was able to make this crossover work but couldn’t with Lady Death. Perhaps he just didn’t know the ins and outs of the character to make that crossover work in comparison to the other characters he created.
Lady Death wasn't his character. She belongs to Brian Pidulio. So Dan didn't know how her powers or her personality worked to write her. So the chemistry was off when they did the crossover. However, He knows Sugar Pop like the back of his hand. And since he knew her character, personality and "voice" he could write a story where she worked well with Zombie Tramp.
Dan had an off day with Lady Death Vs. Zombie Tramp, but he bounced back with Sugar Pop Vs. Zombie Tramp because he was writing characters he knew.
How is his other series? i've only read sugar Pop #1 through 3.
Zombie Tramp is Great. One of the best books he ever made. And Sad Girl is well done.
Wasn't Lady Death created by a black comic creator of old?
Nah, she was created by a white guy in the 90s.
@@ShawnSJames Ahh...I don't know why I thought that. Unless there was a blk author that wrote for it at one point. I just remember seeing some blk guy that had the book and thought he was involved. Oh well...
