I think it is actually easier to play pictionary when you're not a 'pro artist', because you won't be that perfectionist with what you draw.

It's simultaneously easier and harder to guess as an artist when another artist is drawing because you either know exactly what they're trying to do in 2 seconds or have no clue until 2 seconds before they're done

Lot of the success in the game comes from knowing your partner really well. I got the word "pantyhose" one time. I drew squiggle shape, like what they look like when I drip dry them. My husband got it right away. The other couple was trying to draw panties + hose , like a garden hose

Honestly, if she was once a teacher, she's probably better at making information simple and understandable. Even if she's not as good of an artist, technically, she knows how to translate the phrase into something easily recognizable. With Pictionary, it's really not about who's the better artist. It's about who's better at getting their point across.

What pictionary tests is not artistic ability but ability to communicate an idea with a simple drawing. The trick is to know what image will suggest the word. Mrs Jazza does this very well. Artists often have difficulty because they get hung up on proportion, perspective etc, like trying to draw realistic eyes instead of dots when drawing a sailor. Fun video. Thanks.
raythegardener It also tests how well you can decipher what someone else is trying to get across. Jazza was clearly a better guesser. He drew "small change" very well and still lost that round.

â@me5197 that's hardly fair. I can't say I know or understand Mrs Jazza in the slightest, but I guessed most of her drawings very quickly, even faster than Jazza at times. Understanding one another helps, but it's more about knowing how to break down the words into something that's easy to convey in a simple picture. Not being a pro artist probably helps because you're forced to simplify it.
Oh my goodness this is the best representation of marriage on the internet! I laughed so hard I was tearing up by the end. It's so awkward to beat someone who you want to do well and win, for their sake...but you still kinda like winning, because they were too big for their britches...but you don't want to make them feel too bad because, again you don't want them to feel awful....but you're kinds proud because you were ready to get trounced but beat them quite readily....but this is going on the internet soooo you still have to let them save face....but you really did win dammit.

I think you should play it so:
1) Player rolls the dice
2) Player moves forward the amount
3) Player draws the picture
4) If the other player can guess what it is before the time runs out the drawer can stay where they are
5) If they don't guess correctly they have to move back to where they were before the roll
6) You then just take it in turns to draw and move until you reach the end
hopefully this will stop Jazza getting so salty! ;)

3. Player A tries to draw what's on the card. (duh)
4. Player B tries to guess what Player A's card was.
5. If player B gets it right in the allocated amount of time, they get a turn. If they get it wrong, Player A gets another turn... And so on and so forth.
But like, they both work.
josh barron that doesn't work, because it gives clearance for Player A to play Satan and draw a tree when the word is broccoli or something that's a clearer example than that actually - this could work however in combination with the moving back again rule as then it would give them both motivation to draw and guess correctly as player A gets to stay where they are, and player B gets their turn

In my experience being a good artist tends to make this game harder. You need like low level skill ideally. Artists tend to get detail heavy in this game where in reality you jsut need broad concepts to get to your team.
