Here is absolute Biblical proof that God does NOT cause or determine everything; In Jeremiah 19:5 God says, “They have built the high places of Baal to burn their children in the fire as offerings to Baal-something I did NOT COMMAND or mention, nor did it enter my mind.” 2nd Peter 3:9 says, “The Lord is…not willing that ANY should perish but that ALL should come to repentance.” and yet, it also has Jesus saying, "Broad is the road that leads to destruction (hell) and many are on it, but straight and narrow is the road that leads to life (Heaven) and few ever find it." So, as a Calvinist, do you really believe that God arbitrarily creates some people for one reason; to burn for eternity in hell.

@@Mike-qt7jp Not arbitrarily. It's so that His purpose for election might stand, displaying his wrath, mercy and power while giving grace and mercy according to the measure of his kindness toward sinners. He will have mercy on whomever he will have mercy, and will harden whomever he will harden

Thank you, Dr. White, for drawing our attention to the Isaiah-Daniel-Acts-Revelation connection! It brings clarity to much of the end times prophecies. And your tapestry analogy is excellent. I often think of God as creating threads of poetic imagery from Genesis to Revelation. Therefore, I prefer more literal translations which preserve His forms of expession, e.g. The LSB.🙏📖

I have dealt with Calvinism for many years. there is one thing that I hear Calvinists say, more than anything else, they are constantly accusing people of not knowing what Calvinism “REALLY IS” the problem is that that most Calvinists aren’t REALLY Calvinists, they don’t even know what Calvinism is. for the most part, those who are against Calvinism have properly represented it. I think that many people who call themselves Calvinists haven’t studied much about Calvinism. Now obviously, I am not referring to EVERYONE who goes by the name of Calvinist. there are some Calvinists who have studied Calvinism and know what it teaches. they are the minority, though. Yet, they don’t like to talk about the “bad side” of Calvinism. they seem to “hide it” and only talk about it when someone presses them on the issues regarding “free will," “sovereignty," “God the author of sin”, etc. etc.
these are quotes from John Calvin. Some of these quotes will shock you. Some of these quotes will disgust you (and rightly so). maybe you will agree with these quotes (which is very sad) If you can’t agree with Calvin on these issues, then you should NOT call yourself a Calvinist. And if you don’t call yourself a Calvinist, then make all Christians aware of TRUE Calvinism, so that they don’t become Calvinists.
“Creatures are so governed by the secret counsel of God, that nothing happens but what he has knowingly and willingly decreed.” (John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion, Book 1, Chapter 16, Paragraph 3)
“Hence we maintain, that by His providence, not heaven and earth and inanimate creatures only, but also the counsels and wills of men are so governed as to move exactly in the course which he has destined.” (John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion, Book 1, Chapter 16, Paragraph 8)
“The devil, and the whole train of the ungodly, are in all directions, held in by the hand of God as with a bridle, so that they can neither conceive any mischief, nor plan what they have conceived, nor how muchsoever they may have planned, move a single finger to perpetrate, unless in so far as he permits, nay unless in so far as he commands, that they are not only bound by his fetters but are even forced to do him service” (John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion, Book 1, Chapter 17, Paragraph 11)
“…salvation is freely offered to some while others are barred from access to it.” (John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion, Book 3, Chapter 21, Paragraph 5)
“We call predestination God’s eternal decree, by which he compacted with himself what he willed to become of each man. For all are not created in equal condition; rather, eternal life is fore-ordained for some, eternal damnation for others.” (John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion, Book 3, Chapter 21, Paragraph 5)
“…we say that God once established by his eternal and unchangeable plan those whom he long before determined once for all to receive into salvation, and those whom, on the other hand, he would devote to destruction…he has barred the door of life to those whom he has given over to damnation.” (John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion, Book 3, Chapter 21, Paragraph 7)
“Therefore, those whom God passes over, he condemns; and this he does for no other reason than that he wills to exclude them from the inheritance which he predestines for his own children.” (John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion, Book 3, Chapter 23, Paragraph 1)
“I admit that in this miserable condition wherein men are now bound, all of Adam’s children have fallen by God’s will.” (John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion, Book 3, Chapter 23, Paragraph 4)
“With Augustine I say: the Lord has created those whom he unquestionably foreknew would go to destruction. This has happened because he has willed.” (John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion, Book 3, Chapter 23, Paragraph 5)
“…individuals are born, who are doomed from the womb to certain death, and are to glorify him by their destruction.” (John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion, Book 3, Chapter 23, Paragraph 6)
“But since he foresees future events only by reason of the fact that he decreed that they take place, they vainly raise a quarrel over foreknowledge, when it is clear that all things take place rather by his determination and bidding.” (John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion, Book 3, Chapter 23, Paragraph 6)
".......For the first man fell because the Lord had judged it to be expedient; why he so judged is hidden from us.” (John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion, Book 3, Chapter 23, Paragraph 8)
“Man falls according as God’s providence ordains, but he falls by his own fault.” (John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion, Book 3, Chapter 23, Paragraph 8)
“The first man fell because the Lord deemed it meet that he should.” (John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion, Book 3, Chapter 23, Paragraph 8)
“Even though by God’s eternal providence man has been created to undergo that calamity to which he is subject, it still takes its occasion from man himself, not from God, since the only reason for his ruin is that he has degenerated from God’s pure creation into vicious and impure perversity.” (John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion, Book 3, Chapter 23, Paragraph 9)
“Moreover, the wicked bring upon themselves the just destruction to which they are destined.” (John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion, Book 3, Chapter 24, heading)
As you can see, Calvin was a walking contradiction. John Calvin was not a great man of God or a great theologian. In fact, he was NOT a Christian. in case you did not know. On October 27, 1553 John Calvin had Michael Servetus, a Spanish physician, burned at the stake just outside of Geneva for his doctrinal beliefs! This event was something Calvin had considered long before Michael Servetus was even captured, for John Calvin wrote his friend, Farel, on February 13, 1546 (7 years prior to Michael Servetus' arrest) and went on record as saying: "If Servetus comes to Geneva, I shall never let him go out alive if my authority has weight." in that day Calvin's authority in Geneva had ultimate "weight." This is why some referred to Geneva as the "Rome of Protestantism" and to John Calvin as the "Protestant 'Pope." During Servetus' trial, Calvin wrote: "I hope that the verdict will call for the death penalty." All this reveals a side of John Calvin that is not well-known or very appealing, to say the least! Obviously, he had a prolonged, murderous hate in his heart and was willing to violate Scripture to put another to death and in a most cruel way. Let it be noted that the Calvinists of Geneva put half-green wood around the feet of Michael Servetus and a wreath strewn with sulfur on his head. It took over 30 minutes to render him lifeless in such a fire, while the people of Geneva stood around to watch Michael Servetus suffer and slowly die!
"And you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him" 1 Jn. 3:15
The Greek adds an important word to 1 Jn. 3:15 that is sometimes omitted in English translations. That word is "continuing" or "abiding" and states that murderous people don't have eternal life continuing in them. Since murderers are unsaved and John Calvin was a murderer, then John Calvin was unsaved! how can an unsaved man interpret Scripture?
The god of John Calvin and the God of the Bible are NOT the same God. The Calvinism of John Calvin is NOT biblical Christianity. Hopefully all you Calvinists can see exactly what we are against. we haven’t misrepresented Calvinism. we have CORRECTLY presented the Calvinism of John Calvin. Am I saying that a Calvinist must agree with Calvin on EVERYTHING in order to be a Calvinist? NO. what I am saying is that you must agree with him on issues concerning salvation, if you are going to call yourself a Calvinist -such as predestination, free will, sovereignty of God, etc. If you aren’t willing to agree with the T.U.L.I.P. of John Calvin, then stop calling yourself a Calvinist. If you aren’t willing to agree with the above quotes from John Calvin, then stop claiming that people don’t understand Calvinism.

I was thinking just today about the ascension of Jesus and how that might be the point in Revelation 12:7 when Satan is cast out of heaven because it happens almost immediately after the child (jesus) is caught up unto God and to his throne in 12:5. Before the resurrection and ascension of Christ, satan still had access to heaven, which is why the red dragon (satan) appeared in heaven in 12:3. It was Jesus sacrifice and ascension to the throne which led to the battle and final ousting of satan from heaven. Satan and his demons are now permanently here on earth and when Jesus returns it will be the final end for satan as he and his demons will be cast into the pit of fire..

salvation for a Calvinist means to be born an elect predestined for heaven. the U of TULIP, unconditional election. everything hangs right here. nothing else matters. Calvinists don't admit the lunacy of Calvinism. they KNOW it but hypocritically hide it and behave like a Bible defined Christian. they display the same hypocrisy of the atheist who claims God does not exist yet behaves as He does by obeying the pin point accurate laws of nature that debunk his atheism.

ascended = lifted up = exalted. clouds = mists = spirit
    Jesus ascended into the clouds
Jesus was lifted up into the mists
Jesus was exalted into the spirit
which interpretation makes the most sense considering that Jesus returned in spirit? the angel said he'd return in "like manner".
Jesus returned in spirit, so was he then exalted into the spirit?
the ascension makes more sense to me that Christ rather than flying up into the clouds was Exalted into the spirit. is heaven literally in the clouds? no. "behold YHWH comes on a swift cloud" - these types of jewish phrases are not to be taken literally.

When considering how life began, there are only two options. Either life was created by an intelligent source (God) or it began by natural processes. The common perception presented in many textbooks and in the media is that life arose from nonlife in a pool of chemicals about 3.8 billion years ago. The claim by evolutionists is that this formation of life was the result of time, chance, and natural processes. an important component of life is information. the common factor in all living organisms is the information contained in their cells. Where and how did all this coded information arise? Proteins are amazingly versatile and carry out many biochemical functions, but they are incapable of assembling themselves without the assistance of DNA. The function of DNA is to store information and pass it on to RNA, while the function of RNA is to read, decode, and use the information received from DNA to make proteins. Each of the thousands of genes on a DNA molecule contains instructions necessary to make a specific protein that is needed for a specific biological function. Any hypothesis meant to explain how all life evolved from lifeless chemicals into a complex cell consisting of vast amounts of information also has to explain the source of information and how this information was encoded into the cell. All evolutionary explanations are unable to answer this question. There is no known sequence of events which can cause information to originate by itself in matter. Not even one mutation has been observed that adds a little information to the genome. This shows that there are not millions upon millions of potential mutations evolution demands. The DNA code within all plant and animal cells is vastly more compact than any computer chip ever made. DNA is so compact that a one-square-inch chip of DNA could encode the information in over seven billion Bibles. Since the density and complexity of the genetic code is millions of times greater than man’s present technology, we can conclude that the Originator of the information must be supremely intelligent.
morality is another problem. atheists believe in a moral code: a standard for how we should think and behave. if people are just complex chemicals and our decisions are just chemical reactions, then we have no genuine choice in what we do. If we were not created by God, Gen. 1:27, then any moral code invented by people would just be arbitrary opinion. those who reject biblical creation have no basis for their morality. when an atheist, like you, tell Christians how to think or behave, you are acting as if you believe in creation. your actions reveal that you embrace an objective moral code, even though you have no basis for it in your worldview. The fact that atheists believe in rationality and morality is inconsistent with your belief in evolution. This shows that in your hearts, you really know the God whose Word you are attacking, even though you verbally deny this. you suppress the truth, as the Scripture teaches in Rom. 1:18-25
you are capable of reasoning that you have offended a Higher Authority. biblical salvation is a transaction between God and sinful man. in order to get biblically saved, a sinner must accept the fact that he is a sinner in desperate need of a remedy. he is quite capable of humbling before God and repent. Jesus called for sinners to repent, Luke 5:32 the Gospel includes repentance, "and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." Luke 24:47
at death, there will be a Day of Judgement for you, "it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment," Heb. 9:27
"God will bring every deed into judgment, along with every hidden thing, whether good or evil." Ecc. 12:14
RECONSIDER your rebellion against the God Who created you and repent and accept His offer of salvation, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. God presented Him as the atoning sacrifice to be received through faith in His blood, in order to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance He passed over the sins committed beforehand. He did this to demonstrate His righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and to justify the one who has faith in Jesus." Rom. 3:23-26

Dr. White. how do you know for sure you were born an elect? what criteria do you appeal to? you were not present when God conducted His cosmic raffle 😂forgive the humor. but really, how do you know you drew the lucky ticket E? you could be a non elect repeating the same words an elect speaks. since there is no free will in Calvinism and every thought and action of all humanity was sovereignly predestined by God (your opinion not mine) maybe you are being forced to think you are an elect when in reality you are a non elect predestined for hell. you can't appeal to behavior because you call this "works salvation." when an observable change in moral conduct which takes place in biblical salvation by the grace of God, Rom. 6:14, 18, 22; Titus 2:11, 12, is excluded as the criteria that determines who is saved, what criteria do you appeal to? you could have the same temporary faith God gave non elect Judas Iscariot: evanescent faith. (again. your opinion. not mine.)
Calvin wrote: “Experience shows that the reprobate are sometimes affected in a way so similar to the elect that even in their own judgment there is no difference between them... there is a great resemblance and affinity between the elect of God and those who are impressed for a time with a fading faith .... Still it is correctly said, that the reprobate believe God to be propitious to them, inasmuch as they accept the gift of reconciliation...” (3.2.11, Institutes,) when do u find out if u have the faith of an elect? Judas Iscariot never did!
"And when it was day, HE CALLED HIS DISCIPLES to Himself; and FROM THEM HE CHOSE twelve whom He also named apostles:" Luke 6:13
Calvinists claim Judas was always a devil. he was unconditionally elected before his birth as a non elect reprobate. BUT this has massive moral implications!
    # 1-it implies the God of the Bible uses deception. here is why. Jesus deceived Judas into thinking he was a disciple when in reality he was not. (the word disciple occurs over 200 times in the NT and almost always refers to believers) it also implies the Lord enhanced the deception by CHOOSING and promoting a lost man, He Himself had predestined for hell, to the highest office in His church.
    # 2-the other implication is that it questions the Lord's Divinity by putting in doubt His Omniscience, suggesting the Lord did not know Judas was lost.
being a Calvinist, u will go with the first option. the God of the Bible uses deception and infuses malice into the hearts of men. Pharaoh and Judas are your examples of this "truth." u have no problem with this opinion since u also say God is the Author of evil and wickedness. it is He Who predestined all the vile events that have ever occurred in the history of mankind. if a man who walked with God in the flesh, performed and saw miracles, Matt. 10:1, 8, never seen before by human eyes, was CALLED AND CHOSEN by God Himself, NEVER knew he was a lost reprobate, what assurance of being an elect do u have? your case could be similar to Judas's. remember your opinion of the God of the Bible is that He misleads humans into thinking they are elects when in reality they are not! Calvinists claim God's sovereignty permits Him to behave wickedly. He led Judas to believe he was an elect disciple and a chosen apostle. He hid from Judas the truth: that it was actually Him Who had predestined Judas to be born as a non elect reprobate before the foundation of the world. in fact, if Judas was a predestined reprobate, Jesus lied when He promised the 12 apostles (Judas was included) to rule over the 12 tribes of Israel in the millennium, "So Jesus said to them, “Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel." Matt. 19:28 how do you know God is not doing the same to you? (once again. your opinion not mine. I condemn Calvinism)
