The problem is a fuse on your #Ford F-150 truck not your your trailer. #FordF150
One day I discovered that my running lights on my RV we're not on. My blinkers worked on the trailer and my brake lights work on the trailer but not the running lights. I took it to 2 Ford dealerships neither of which new how to fix the problem. I cannot find any videos on CZcams.
I purchase two of them so I have a spare from the #Forddealership.

Words can’t describe how thankful I am to have found this video, thank you for taking the time to make it. My parents bought a trailer from the 1960’s and I helped my father redo the wiring and we haven’t been able to get the lights to come on with the headlights and have been trouble shooting it for almost two weeks and have tried everything. Popped out a fuse and popped in another one and everything worked! Thank you so much!

Bought a brand new trailer, and plugged it in. Everything worked except the running lights. The Lowes employee had me hook up to 3 other trailers and all had the same problem. So we figured it was something with the truck. Quick google search said it was a fuse, but then found your video and it showed specifically which one to look at! Thanks for the assist. I'm sure I would have been fighting with the dealership for a while if I hadn't found your video. Thank you!

I worked with electronics in experimental labs for decades but could not figure out why my trailer "running lights" would not work, when my tail lights on the F150 worked just fine. Googled the problem and found your video. A big THANK YOU. It never occurred to me that there were be a separate trailer running lights fuse. The turn signals were fine and brake light fine, but no running lights. You solved the problem.

THIS, THIS, THIS is what CZcams is all about! This happened after I replaced the battery in my 2019 Expedition. Fouling fuses apparently is a known issue for 2018+ Fords. Thank you so very much for diagnosing this issue. No codes, no dashboard alerts, even the "Trailer Lights Check" passes but the running lights wouldn't work. I'll add that there is a shortcut to bridge the trailer lights (on many RV forums) to make sure there is no bulbs out. It took me 5 hours to find this, and about 5 minutes to fix. Oddly the Ford dealership is the only outlet who even could identify the part number. Autozone / Advance, other OEM stores had no idea and couldn't cross reference. Tip of the ol ball cap to you sir!

Thanks for sharing ! Was exactly my problem. I went to my trailer place and they said the running lights had very low electricity, not enough to light up my cargo trailer. Then he said lots of problems with these max tow models, computers and stuff they’re not equipped to repair. So I left a little dejected and then found your video and a trip to the dealer, bought the fuse put it in and bingo !

I wish I had found this video sooner. Being that my 2020 is 2 months old I never suspected the fuse and ended up re-wiring my boat trailer because of the issue. Same thing, two different dealerships were clueless. Fuse 53 was the issue. Thanks for posting the video!

Your welcome. I was about to rewire my RV when I hooked up my magnetic tail lights (brand new) and realized they didn't work either. Several visits to dealerships and then pulled out every fuse until I found that one blown. whew that was a long week.

God bless you posting for this video, I could've spent a lot of time with this same issue. Today I checked under the hood and today my problem is solved. I have a GMC not a Ford by the way, but it was the same exact same problem in the beginning with no running lights but taillights worked. Checked under the hood and sure enough I had two blown fuses.
    A thousand thank you's 🙏

Awesome 3 minute video, thanks for posting. My 2015 F-150 had same issue (different fuse #). I was about to rip all of the wiring out of my trailer to find THE problem on the morning after I got pulled over for no running lights. A BIG THANKS! 2 parts stores only had 20 or 30A ones had to order 25a ones from Amazon about $10 for 10. I'm set when it blows again.

Your video saved me, I was pulling a travel trailer from NY to Florida. Lost turn signals on trailer in Virginia. First tore apart trailer wiring, no luck. Then realized it was coming from truck 2014 F150, and tore apart rear wiring socket. Tested everything with DVM. Figured it had to be in wiring, because rear turn signals on truck worked fine. Anyhow saw your video and on my vehicle it was fuse 73 trailer tow stop/turn lamps relay power. Swapped it with another 20A I don’t need and SUCCESS! Many thanks!

Check for holes in your wiring on your trailer. Bad or old wiring. Mouse chewing the wiring. Moisture in your connection. Sometimes the plastic insulation around the wire can get frayed or the wiring inside can get corroded. Might have to run new wiring harness and wiring. Let me know what you find out.
