I've tried for years to find an easy way to propagate my Bougainvillea's. I've been lucky to get 1 or 2 take root but most of the time, they just mildew & rot & I end up tossing them out. I tried this method, this year & it's working GREAT. ALL of my cuttings are leafing out. Thank you sooo much!
Adela tus videos son increíbles, siempre buscaba un canal de como sacar esquejes y que sacaran raíces con agua y los tuyos son increíbles me encantan tus videos, saludos desde Honduras 💛💛
The best tutorial I've seen so far about bougainvillea cuttings. So simple and the result was fast unlike with the ICU method. Will try this. Thank you for sharing. Just subscribed. Great video btw.
Usually it is recommended to remove the leaves when preparing the cuttings. I think its because the extra big leaves will suck up the remaining energy and moisture from the cuttings rather than form the roots.... Or something like that. Also, I read in one comment that the removing the formed roots from the rooted cuttings will most likely damage the fragile roots. I guess you cut off the floral foam?
Hello Adela Ji Namaskar 🙏 Very different propegating from thin cuttings, here in India normally we are advised to take any cutting of around PENCIL size thick and 5-7"long. After rooting and then till flowering and your Rack or stand ,looking beautiful. God bless ,took you 6 months almost to complete Vedio, good patience. Will try once, can I now in March? My regards 🌹🙏💕
Hi SN Tandon, thank yo so much for always supporting my channel and appreciating my work, your appreciation is very inspiring to me. In this video, I propagated the plant directly without rooting it first. I used floral foam as the medium and made some experiement and it worked. Yes, you can do it this month for this plant. Goodluck always :)
I love to have Bougainvillea, will they survive inside the house or just outside? Will they survive winter too or die? Thanks for sharing your propagating ideas and I love watching your videos because your very creative and very informative :) Have a fab weekend xx
@@AdelaBespejo First, thank you for answering me and second the bougainvillea was in a pot and 5 days ago I transferred it to the garden where it has enough space, the problem was that my neighbor's dog made a hole in the root and cut half, since then it began to dry and today bottles yellow leaves 😭.
I have seen many videos for Bougainvillea propagación. I consider this one of the worst as it damages the roots at transplantation. The plants may suffer. That happens with Poinsettia whose roots are strangled in the process and if one watts to preserve the plant other te hindúes must be used to liberate the roots.
