      Can’t hurt to have a crack, and you’ll learn yourself how to do it providing it has the same solenoid haha! Thanks for watching, appreciate it. Cheers

    Super helpful, my winch was stuck going in and wouldn't stop. After pulling apart the solionod I found that the contact pins had a Teflon sleeve around them. One was deformed and was preventing the pin from freely moving. Pulled them out and hit it with a bit of wd40 and happy days winch working again. Thanks again for the great video. 🎉🎉

    Good tip about checking the battery connection. I felt like an idiot after disassembling the contactor multiple times only to find a loose connection at the battery. It would click a few times and then nothing. Tested with a spare battery on the bench and everything worked fine.

    Great video mate I had a good laugh at you trying to remember how 8274s come apart
    When I first met crole he bought my old giggle free spool and I offered to help him rebuild his 8274

      Definitely with the bar kit. I’m with you on neatness! I bought a slightly cheaper TG Thompson from RRO thinking I’d attach it to the long M6 bolts but the motor on my Warn has an extrusion for the armature bearing. Dang it.
      Will keep the TG as a spare and continue to dream.

    Is it as simple as changing out the old warn style controller and just bolting one of these in? I want to put it under the bonnet but don’t want to waste my time with the bulky solenoid pack

    • @DanielKistler
      @DanielKistler  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes mate, just take the old solenoid off and put one of these Albright ones on and wire it in.

  • @EricaMTB
    @EricaMTB Před 2 lety +1

    I don't think it's possible to disassemble the old round nickel plated solenoids.
    Low mount motor just engages with a centre shaft.

      That’s correct mate. Can only change out individual solenoids. Cheers
