      @@Jur1_00I don't want to just knock United, but last season the P.L. was weaker overall. United won matches without necessarily performing that well. They had enough luck when they needed it. Admittedly they also had harsh sendings-off and suspensions too. United have had an awful time with injuries this season, but the same issues and limitations keep occurring. Mark Ogden has been writing/reporting on Ten Hag being fired for nearly 5 straight months now. Your channel’s agenda with firing him is very clear at this point. It doesn’t matter who the manager is next season. United cannot control and dictate games if the likes of McTominay, Maguire, Lindelof, Shaw, Bruno, and Rashford are still playing for the club. They categorically are not good enough and no manager is suddenly going to make them elite.

      Bruno’s stats cover up the fact that he’s extremely reckless with the ball, constantly turns it over, and is not anywhere near elite passing, receiving, and moving the ball in tight spaces. United cannot dictate and control games in large part because Bruno is constantly giving away the ball and is not a tempo setting player. His stats only tell part of the story about him.

  • @jamesza_gabe5063
    @jamesza_gabe5063 Před 2 měsíci

    Im in two minds with Eric Ten Hag. On the one side, I have seen how the overall mismanagement of the club led many senior players to revolt against pretty much every manager we have had since Alex Ferguson. The big wages and unbelievable transfer fees we have paid directly impacted on our overall spending and FIFA fairplay. With the new CEO and Football Operations Manager coming on board, I think this will drive the club in the right direction. This means that the manager could in effect, have better backroom support to run his team more efficiently.
    Then there is the other side of my viewpoint on ETH, and that is his poor choices of players that have been very much below par. The continuous inclusion of Rashford has been concerning, the lacklustre abilities of Antony, and not to mention how shoddy Onana is, and the rest of the players he has had at his disposal but that have been injured too long or lack any potential at this time (barring Hojlund if he can stay fit). I do not see any proper gameplan that we were promised. A sweeper keeper that sticks to his box more than was expected and what we were told he would bring to this squad. The treatment of Ronaldo on his return, and letting go of de Gea began a downward spiral in my opinion. I do not see good football in most games, and I see even less consistency under him than any other manager. I am not convinced that ETH has the tactical prowess that Pep or Klopp have, but thats a testament to how great they are, and to be very honest, there arent many current managers that have that abilities.
    So my conundrum is, should we give him (ETH) another season with proper backroom guidance and management, and see what players we can bring in and how we can improve - or do we once again rebuild with a new manager, selling deadwood like Malachia, Amrabat, Mount, Antony, Onana and Rashford? Truth is, I do not see any manager that could improve our current situation, but with better leadership from INEOS coming in, maybe we will see a better resurgence from a newly built squad.
    I do hope we stay away from Southgate though. He has proven, like ETH, that he chooses favourites rather than the best players. I cannot see Alonso joining Utd when there is a great legacy been left behind by Klopp at the end of his Liverpool reign, that would encourage any manager to take on the mantle. Xavi also struggled at Barcelona, but its hard to judge when the club had been hit with many FFP penalties. Tuchel is tactically strong, and I was surprised Chelsea fired him. Im sure if he had the billion to spend that Potter and Pochettino have had, he may have made the club more formidable. Yes, I know he isnt performing with Bayern that well at the moment, but I think the expectations of that club versus Utd is a lot different considering the huge success Bayern has had over the entirety of the past few seasons.

      Not wrong. And had Amrabat not given Haaland a goal, it would've ended 2-1, which is a respectable result for a crippled United. Yeah, they dominated us but they didn't really have many chances other than Foden's goals and the Haaland miss. Also worth mentioning that Rashford screwed up 2 easy chances that could've put us level/ahead. All in all, the players available just weren't good enough but they tried.

    United ownership have to have a vision of how they want to play and hire the coach that matches the vision. Man City and Liverpool have done this and now Leverkusen. Brighton and Brentford do this with moneyball. The bigger elephant in the room is the massive player clear out required and the even bigger cost to get the players to match the vision.

    Injuries. Last season we finished 3rd. This season we have had injuries to key players which affected our ability to play at the top level. Martinez, Shaw, Malacia, Martial, Wan bisaka, Cassamaero, Verane and now Rasmus. Our squad is not good enough to have so many key injuries. Both left backs out. Not even Martinez and Varane for many games. If we had all these players available and we were where we are now I agree to sack the manager. But we did not have most of the squad for most of the season. That's why this is not on the manager

      @@ashipippinBut it hasn't been as constant or as many long-term injuries. Spurs had all of their injuries from December to January. Liverpool had them from February to players coming back now. The only other team that's faced long-term injuries is Newcastle and they've done just as poorly as United (worse, looking at the table). Yes, every team has injuries, but which players are injured and for how long should be factored into the equation. United have been the unluckiest.

  • @sp129
    @sp129 Před 2 měsíci +1

    Ten Hag's recruitment has been--if you're being very generous--a mixed bag, and that's certainly on him. According to ESPN, Utd have spent ~£400m on 16 players since his arrival. More damningly however, 1/3 of that (~£137m) was spent on Mount and Antony, respectively his 1st and most expensive signing. Mason Mount is a fine player, but probably not a ~£55m player, and the less said about Antony, the better. If you keep ETH, how do you support him in the transfer market? Yes, Chelsea exists, but that doesn't help Utd.

    • @CoconutJewce
      @CoconutJewce Před 2 měsíci +1

      Onana - finally coming good but cost us UCL
      Mount - an unknown but optimistic player
      Antony - big flop
      Martinez - class but unlucky injuries
      Casemiro - our best player last season, legs questionable
      Malacia - decent backup but dead now
      Hojlund - overpaid but class and very promising
      All the rest have been loans or frees (42% of his total transfers). His signings really haven't been bad besides Antony and that's mostly on the recruitment team for panic buying and overpaying that much. He wanted Kane, KMJ, Todibo, Disasi, FDJ, et al but wasn't given them. He isn't in the top 5 problems at the club.
