A quick video to hold you over until I finish some longer videos. Note 9, iPad Pro, MacBook Air, Mac mini, Apple Pencil 2 and more to come.
How rich are you?
@@MichaelM28 anyway he is a totally unbaised man I have seen till now.....I am watching this channel since 2014
How thought you had stopped making video except Apple's stuff! Good too see this, I always been a big fan of your reviews!
@Suprit mee too but not gonna buy
Star Nutron that's not the question I asked, and clearly IS biased otherwise he wouldn't use Apple for everything
I'm a fellow Hue fan. This is one of the most concise, informative and professionally done unboxing videos for any tech product I've ever seen.

I love your way of reviewing stuff. Professional and never gets me bored
Kind of a lighting junkie, so I love these! Ambience is EVERYTHING.
*I like the old style Echo Dot because it's small also **Newest.Technology**, gives out decent sound and doesn't take up a lot of shelf space if you want to put it on beam in the workshop or shed.*
Thank you!!! I was looking into getting one of these. Much love, Mike!
GregsGadgets can you sync this to Spotify
Detroit borg is the best. No bullshit. Straight to the action. Love it
Yes! I've been waiting for your review to see if I should purchase these. Thank you for this video!
Video quality: 10/10
Everything else: 10/10
I just bought my first set of Philips Hue series (a Starter kit, Lightstrips and more light bulbs). But I still drool for these Play Bars. The light power is amazing, and they look... modern. They'd be fantastic on a PC-table. Too bad I blew already so much money on my set-up and these alone cost 129€/$ a pair. But I'll get them, some day I will... lol.
I had chilled cow on in the background and its surprising how in time you were, sounded surprisingly good
Your LG desktop monitor is just awesome to look at with that wallpaper
And the hue lights compliment the viewing experience...👌👌
Great review mike
The video quality is perfect 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
You are one of the best tech youtuber
Fantastic video! I have been watching you for years and I am a big fan! Thank you for all that you do! Also I would like to see another video with the hdmi.
His reviews are so satisfying
Just today I was wanting to see if there was any good reviews out there. THANKS !!!!
No bs just a review I absolutely love it!!!
First to like and was waiting for this. you are my All time favorite Tech CZcamsr. Keep it up, Mike!
Thanks Mike! Been looking forward to the new videos
Exactly the review I was looking for, thanks!
Was about to turn in, but had to watch this - who needs sleep, lol
My thoughts now covid has hit😂😂
@@loungetrend6645 same here stil lol
Wow, I didn't even know these existed. Exactly what I've been looking for.
Thanks again for another excellent review!
The best reviewer on CZcams!!!!
Loool, something new. This is just like the Philips Ambx set all over again. I had that more than 15 years ago.
Didn't know these existed! I need to check these out, thanks for the review!
These are a must-have! Please do a video on the hdmi adapter for a TV
What cool features and what a cool review as well!
There are already reviews and unboxing of the 2018 iPad Pro but I wanna see it from you because you do it the best!!
Such a great and comprehensive review - thanks!
Love the Locutus Funko! I’ve got him guarding my cubicle at work, but my home desk has Commander Zavala from the game Destiny and Archangel from X-Men. Great review btw
Very interesting video. I would like to watch a video of these with a tv setup as it’ll be a must have for me.
Yes. TV HDMI adapter review please.
Great informative video 👍 Just one question - are these designed to add effects like the Philips amber light tv’s?
Hey Mike, when are you gonna review the note 9? I'm really wanting that phone but since you are the best reviewer on CZcams I wanna get your input on it 🙂
Mind to provide a quick link to the background of your desktop please? And, awesome video. Missed some of your non-Apple product reviews and unboxings.
Hmmm, I've been debating whether to get these or a light strip to go behind my TV. I know you mentioned earlier in the video that the strips fit better behind the TV but you also mentioned how these work much better than a light strip and has more dimensions to work with than a light strip and you don't have sticky marks on the back of the TV. I have a 70" on the wall but I am wondering if it's better to have these if I can get them behind as opposed to the strip so I'm unsure? I'd want two so I can have two different colours (one at the top, one at the bottom) at the same time. Thanks for such a fantastic and informative review 😊
Just the way to finish my week 👌🏽
I like the content of this CZcams channel 😎
Let's see them with the TV!!
Perfect review as always
Wow looks great. Mike, do you think these are easily attachable to a Thunderbolt Display? This would be a perfect solution to my quest for a interesting light behind my screen.
Do you need also a Philips Hue Bridge to connect them or you can connect the Hue Play Light Bar directly to the sync app? Nice video!
Would love to see a video on the TV integration... might snag it for myself if it’s interesting enough
Picked these up on a black friday deal thismorning.
Just waiting for them to ship from Amazon.
Pretty stoked. I've had the regular warm/cool hue lights in my bedroom for about a year now, and I've wanted some RGB ones ever since.
Not sure where I'm gonna use these, but I'm looking forward to the utility.
Thank you for your great video. May I ask what is your monitor model?
Really cool Mike. Do they show up in the apple home app and do they show up as one light or 2 separate lights ?
What wallpaper is that? It's amazing!
awesome video! where can we get that awesome wallpaper btw?
I’d love to see how this works with a TV and I’m curious if other lights on the network like a led light strip can be included into it to have a full room surround ambiance all working with the images from the tv
You can but they need to be Philips Hue to hook into that HUB, that way you can control everything
Hello Mike. Which LG monitor are you using? It's looking great!
I think I was doing this in 2014 with Kodi ... before the LED strips and using the old, slower hub v1 which often guessed a color to use. And the old Gen1/2 bulbs didn't really handle green, blue or purple at all, due to the overdose of yellow and lack of blue LEDs. now that Qdot and SMD's exist, and perhaps capellix or similar filtered 'dot' SMD's, it might be cheaper to get a decent bar-type SMD with good RGB. Bias lighting tends to work as long as you don't see the source or shadowing IMO.
2 or 3 lights tends to work best, but it looks like you can add more with Play and strips adding to the ambient effect.
I need these for my setup! 🤩🔥
Connect it to your TV! Awesome video idea! Keep up the great content, love your videos!
I’d like to see a video with that hdmi adapter.
Me too

They look really good!
Best & clear review!!
I am 41st viewer.....again a nice review👌👌👍👍...thanks
Hey Mike great video as always! I just got a set of these last week and I love them except for the power connections. Since they have relatively short power cords and have to both plug into the power wall wart it can be tough to spread them out. Too bad Phillips didn't allow a daisy chain from light -> light. Also think they are a bit pricey but hue is the best lighting ecosystem and I'm already well invested in it!
They make a 16' extension cord. Yes - 16 FOOT. Currently out of stock most places but it is at least an option. Unless I am running the power through the wall, not sure I can see where 16' per light makes much sense..... but there you go. Part Number - 7820430U7
the power cords should
be USB-C
Nice! Are you ready for the new Apple products? Which one are you most excited for?
Hey Mike! Do you think these would be good for video production? Maybe a hair-light for an interview? Or even like running a CZcams channel?
Great vid, where did you find your wallpaper?
Will you do the Unboxing & Review for 2018 MacBook Air, 2018 Mac mini and 2018 iPad Pro? If so, when?
Uploads!!! I love uploads!!!!
Been meaning to upgrade my setup for awhile now. Editings gonna be a helluva lot more colorful
Great review!
Love from Canton MI! Great review, very in depth review!
Yes try with an HDMI connection so I can see how it works

I ordered the 2pc lightbar + extension and the bridge after watching your video. I'm glad I did as I was considering the Corsair LT100/LS100s before watching your video. They are very expensive for ambient lights but you get what you pay for for the quality you get + the smart home apps support. I actually have a Logitech G560 which has light sync stereo speakers but they are just not bright or intensive enough.
Keep up the great work!
you make good reviews!
gotta love that LED flicker. They could have made these non-flickering given how many youtubers use these guys.
Definitely interested in seeing a review with this as part of a TV set up. Thanks...nice review here as always!
excellent Review, would like to see a HDMI Sync Box in addition, if only the Play Bar and the Sync Box would be less expensive...
Please review the Macbook Air along with the accessories!
Awesome. Easier set up than the dreamscreen. I need these for my living room!
At the time of me writing this the only way that i am aware of to sync the TV content with your HUE lights without "Hue Sync" is if it is a Philips TV with "Ambilight" feature. The TV in itself has lights but can also as far as i know sync with other HUE lights in your setup. Check to be sure.
Mike is the GOAT!
Wait, who glues the light strip to their monitor? It comes with adhesive on the back and is plenty strong.
Thank you for your video!
🔥
Can you link the wallpaper on your desktop? It’s awesome
Oh hello there, we meet again, Philips amBX. It's been 10 years baby!
Is this hue brighter / better quality in your opinion than the hue light strip?
Thanks
Love to see a video using them with a TV
When I got this thing, I didn't know how the hell to work it. But then da-da-da-dum!!! Mike came to the rescue!!!
Best tech reviewer
Awesome Review You’re really Awesome!!! Gonna Purchase this if available in my country
Did you do this with the HDMI to the TV? I didn't see a video on your channel with it ;O
will the lights still look good with a wallpaper on the wall?
What background is that on the screen?😮

Hi
Enjoyed your video 😊,
Just a quick question, after getting new TV etc I was looking at lighting , lights strips, although I've decided don't like the cheap strips.
Like the light bars . Just got a 50 inch Qled and question is do I need Two or just one.
At the moment in the UK one sells for £50 but there's a deal going for £85 for Two.
Also can't see if they come with bulbs or even what kind of bulb/ filliment they use.
Anyway if ??? U happen to see this tell me what u think, I think I like the light bars ,design , probably a lot of places I could use.
But mostly I watch a lot of UHD movies just have a small light behind my TV.
NO gaming thats on my PC.
Ok thanks.
PS just saw this an article
"If you have a Philips Hue Bridge in your home, or don’t mind adding one, the Philips Hue Play light bars can deliver bias lighting to your home theater.", Don't know much about lighting esp smart stuff and that makes out I need to already have the basic Philips stuff ???
Subs at 4:37 :D I'm always excited to cover a human!
So do you need to buy the other Phillips thing or these lights work without it?
Do you need the Hue Bridge to control them? And can you buy the bridge separately? (I only found Starter kits with light bulbs included on amazon)
Are you using the hub or you can just use it stand alone with the apps in the phone as remote?
I love them - but I feel like they are more worth 2 for $80.00. Its a good product. Maybe if I have a need I'll try to pick them up at the price I mentioned.
How about a setup tour 2018 to wrap up the year?
Philips Hue Smart Hub (Works with Alexa Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant) DO YOU NEED this in order for these to work? awesome review man!
You need the Hue Bridge in order for them to work
@@Deadpoolio47 yeah i bought it thanks , my only gripe with this is that you can't get a real deep red color.
Nice vid!
I'd love to see that hue entertainment TV adapter
