Can Pikachu Defeat Giovanni's Mewtwo?

- Shadow Mewtwo is finally back in Pokémon GO so I decided make a video explaining how to beat the current Giovanni. But there is a plot twist! To challenge myself I wanted to finish the battle using a Pikachu
I may be the first trainer in the world to take down a Shadow Mewtwo using a Pikachu?!

Power up Punch is just so Overpowered during rocket bosses. Even if it's not effective it's one of the best shield burn! And after 2 PUP's the 3rd will also do decent damage on almost anything that doesn't resist.
Maybe next time Mewtwo or a pokemon of similar power level shows up on Giovanni. Try defeating him without hitting super effective moves! I did that last time and it was pretty fun. (If he uses a shield on a move that would have been super effective it's okay, as it did not hit!)
Oh forgot to mention, you could additionaly ban Power up punch If you think it's possible. Persian is pretty strong and has little chance with that strategy.

Nah, I've played Pokémon Red, Gold, Crystal, Emerald and Fire Red back in the days. It was fun, I'm now enjoying Pokémon GO and making videos :D

Can't you just defeat him for me? Lol
Using quick charge attack moves first, switching out after 2 attacks as soon as you see incoming damage / you are able.
Even if the move is not effective on Persian, as long as you deal with the shields + save up some more energy it's good enough.
Follow that up with some good Water attacker for the middle, and a Bug/dark/ghost Type in both move and defense (dark reccomended if you have that) for Mewtwo and you should be able to do it!
Look up which strong IV high CP (or able to power-up) pokemon you have available from the above types and look at their Moveset on Gamepress to see which attacks work best. Good luck!
