Hogwarts Legacy is set in the late 1800s, taking place in several Wizarding World locations such as Hogwarts Castle, Hogsmeade, and the Scottish Highlands. AppletonOak takes on the role of a student (voiced by Sebastian Croft or Amelia Gething) starting their studies at Hogwarts in the fifth year. The player character possesses the power to control a mysterious ancient magic and holds the key to an "ancient secret" that threatens the stability of the wizarding world.

Whoever told Oak that a cat will talk was a Slytherin and Ominis Gaunt salutes them.
🤣🤣🤣 -Oak
Tip that might be helpful later. You don't have to be at a Floo portal to fast travel. just open the map, pick a floo portal you've activated and select Travel instead of Set Waypoint.
This has saved me a few times when I've glitched myself and ended up stuck. I used the floo to escape.
That’s a good trick. I do like the idea of using floo flames like you should in canon where you have to be at the flame to travel to another. Might play it like that next go around for the fun of it. 🤓
That’s why I chuckled to myself a little when he said he now understands how the floo powder works. Then proceeds to unnecessarily walk to the talking floo woman.
Oak being a potter nerd and actually playing this still cracks me up because how he started in the first 2 movies. 😂
@@lilunette9319 Not many people can do the same as Oak does. He's very intelligent and thirsts for knowledge😅
@@lilunette9319Exactly. Oak is seriously the goat.
@@libraryofthoughts0Yes very true
@@lilunette9319He is certainly a treasure of a human being!
Real 😂😂
The reason the stairs in the common room turned into a slide was because you were trying to access the girls’ dormitories. You may remember this being mentioned in the books. The attention to detail in this game is amazing!
I think that's in one of the later books, which he may not have listened to yet. I was hoping he'd try that, though.
If Oak is like this with cats, I cannot wait until he's interacting more with magical creatures!
Oak, the puzzle doors require the magic of math. Nothing more! 😂
Magical math with magical numbers and magical beasts 😜
I figured out the numbers each beast represents after a while. But game really should have told that the cheat page for this puzzle is literally available in one of the buildings. I found that page after completing the game
@@shivamtiwari_141 The puzzles are not mandatory part of the game. If you're exploring Hogwarts you will find the explanation behind the puzzle. If not, it's your choice.
@@piotrnowak8725 you know how randomly our character says some lines hinting that he needs some clue or tool or a spell to do a puzzle that he currently might not possess? I was talking about that. Like have the character say something like "maybe I need some hint I don't have yet".
Just a tip. You don't have to go to a floo powder spot to fast travel. Just open the map and select the spot you wanna go. Happy New year, guys!! Looking forward for your next video!!
Best way to start 2024(In my time anways lol) watching Oak playing Hogwarts Legacy.
Happy new year!
Happy new year
Happy new year! But if it has been new year then it must be past midnight 😂
Happy new year. Yeah it's nearly 1am now🤣.@@Atrulion
Never apologize for going through the game at your own pace and really getting into it! I took me MONTHS to play this game because I wanted to get into every single detail and learn everything. Youre doing great! :)
I recently replayed the 2013 Tomb Raider, which was one of my firt "modern" games after finally being able to afford a gaming pc. Been obviously almost 10 years and it really brought to my attention that rpgs like this have QoL mechanics or puzzle-solution indicators that you pick up /easily/ if you have experience and that you spent hours not realising are there, when you don't.
It's a bit silly, that the things meant to help people who are new to these genres, are still by themselves mechanics you have to learn.
I enjoy HL a lot but it has a bad habit of overexplaining mechanics in a way that leaves rpg-veterans feel babied but that still leaves rpg-newbies confused. It's really interesting to watch Oak play this kinda because his mindset isn't even corrupted by the concept of a main campaign.
I’m wondering, being a grown ass man, as to why I get giddy like a toddler when I see that I get to watch Oak dive into some more HL? 🤔 😆. This is so much fun Oak! Thanks for doing this! Love ya guys
For the chest with the eye, make sure you’re “disappearing” first, it has quite a bit of coins in it!
Hi Oak! For the puzzle doors, it gives you a math equation in the middle of the door to solve. Each animal symbol has a value 0-9. For example, the spider equals 8 as it has 8 legs. You have to figure out the missing numbers in the top and bottom math equations, then go to the “?” on the wall and put the right symbol in. Same with the “??” for the bottom equation. Then the door will open! Hope this helps.
Additional hint... the symbols are shown in order 0-9, from left to right, in the arch above each door. So you can figure out which symbol corresponds to which number that way.
Should have just told him where to find the key, so he could figure it out himself.
@@Quas..i Not it goes into your inventory with all the other key items so you can look at it any time you want.
@@Quas..i True but he'd still be looking up your advice is my point e.g. tabbing in and out of the game or looking at it on the phone.
@@Quas..i Once he memorizes how the symbols are numbered he won't have to check anything. The dogpoop gameplay is what they did with the alohomora spell.
Some fun facts Oak! The lake outside jackdaws tomb at the end of the video is the same lake from prison of azkaban where Harry casts his patronus near the end of the movie, your character even sees a stag right where Harry was about 100 years from now! The daedalion keys are definitely a reference to the flying keys from the philosophers stone where Harry has to catch the one flying key. And Leander Prewett is an ancestor of Molly Weasley! She was a Prewett before she married into the Weasley family, and Leander definitely looks a little bit like Percy :)
Big reason to collect field guide pages is they give you XP to level up
I'm starting to worry about Appleton's academic future if he runs around the castle all day and night and only attends classes when someone explicitly asks him to 😅
Tip: In dungeons (Jackdaw's Cave at the end of the video) there are LOTS of hidden chests in side tunnels. There are lots of twisting tunnels so make sure you thoroughly explore everywhere. I always got some of my best gear from the hidden chests in the dungeons. Before you actually run the dungeon go sell your extra gear. I always ran out of inventory space while in the dungeons and had to trash gear.
Don't forget to equip expelliarmus. Also, keeping each color spell in the same slot each time will make it easier to fire the right spells at shields of the same color.
Hey Oak, for the puzzle with the 21 and 17, they are math problems and the animals represent numbers from 0-9. That is all I will say
So I just checked my progress on my game and I’m about 70% through the game I eventually just googled how to solve these does it ever actually tell us how to complete these? Because if I didn’t google it I would have no idea how to solve those.
@@dedo7326 Yes, there is one of those door near the Divination Classroom, if i remember correctly, that gives you a clue on how to solve the puzzle. The cipher page is found in a box next to a chalkboard.
@@dedo7326 There is an area in the castle (I don't remember where - Divination tower area, I think) where there is a chalkboard that kind of explains how to do it and gives you the sheet (in your inventory) with what symbol equals what number.
@@dedo7326there’s a “key” in a chest outside the Arithmancy Classroom. It’s high up in the castle. Like in the rafters. Can’t remember if it’s by the Divination classroom too but that sounds right
Another Oak episode I'm ready let's go!! And I'm loving the background sound at the beginning 🤘🏽🎧🎶
The chests with the eyes you have to approach while invisible, the disillusionment charm.
And need to be out of sight or in a different room! Don’t disillusion right next to the eye chest or it won’t work (took me until 3/4ths of the game to figure out I needed to be out of eyesight for those darn chests!)
You can sell you gear at ANY vendor that you can buy stuff at - it doesn't have to be Gladrags or any clothier store. Try selling at the potions place or the seed guy so you can buy some of their stuff, some of which you will want in the future.
Always a joy to watch you play Oak! Some further suggestions.
1. The field guide pages help you level up as well as being super satisfying to collect. So they do add some valuable gameplay impact.
2. You don't need to constantly check your collections. That's merely gonna tell you what you've collected. You will find your collected gear in the gear menu so you won't have to worry that you'll miss anything. The game will tell you if you have unlock challenges but you can occasionally check that if you want to. Challenges are where you can collect new gear. Atm, before you unlock talents, the map and quests are the only ones you need to check atm.
3. You don't need to track a quest to do a quest, so if you are accidentally tracking another side quest and you don't need the field guide to guide your way (like with Arthur's treasure chest mission and daedalian keys) you don't need to go in and change it. Same goes for side quests like the dedalian keys. Also, don't stress about daedalian keys quest, you'll stumble upon the keys and cabinets as you play and explore Hogwarts. They are super fun imo and the reward is really cool!
3. Remember that you haven't learned every spell yet, so if you have tried every spell you think could reasonably interact with something and it doesn't work, it's probably because you need to learn a new spell to solve whatever it is.
4. I'll give you a hint for the number doors that understandably frustrates you. There is a piece of parchment somewhere near the divination classroom that gives you somewhat of an explanation. It's not in the divination classroom, it's in a larger area nearby. Try to find it :)
Fck yes! I’m hyped. Your gameplay has made me start playing my second character again. Rasp Berrie, she’s a Slytherin 😅 first was Bleu Berrie a Hufflepuff
@@lilunette9319 my goal is to have a Gryffindor boy next! I haven’t thought of a name yet but Strawh is actually an idea lol
I did the same! Started on my third a Ravenclaw, I’ve done Hufflepuff and Slytherin already
Same. Watching him play has made me go back for my Ravenclaw playthrough. 😊
@@andiesmonsterMaybe Dragon Berrie or Dingle Berrie.😄
I’ll add my two cents also: if you hear the chime, look around for something that may actually need a Revelio page to explain it. Like, a statue or portrait or a special window - most of them are to explain an item and give a little background.
It’s also dependent on the space you’re in - if you’re in a giant hall, it can be anywhere in that space but if you’re in a room it has to be in that particular room.
Just keep an eye out for a hint of the page sparkling in gold. It took me about 100 hrs to get to 100% so it is a lengthy journey and I’m glad we get more drops in the new year!
The house chest quest is a passive quest you'll do as you explore the castle. It'll be easy to get them all and I think it's worth doing. Just keep your eyes peeled for the wardrobes as you go in your game.
Be glad the stairs just turned into a slide in your common room. 1:47:02 In the books there was also a siren that went off when a boy tried to enter the Gryffindor girls dormitories.
--The Key sidequest unlocks one of the better robes but can't be completed until you can deal with locked doors. Its unmissable so don't worry about leaving the quest for later. Like other collectibles don't worry about them till you hear their audio cue. Later on you'll learn a few spells to slow the key down a bit to make slapping it into the keyhole a bit easier.
--Pretty sure others will say this but Gladrags, the equipment shop in Hogsmead, has a inventory that refreshes after 2-3 in-games days. So that's why you couldn't find what you sold.
--Don't forget you have a potion station and a pot for herbs in the Potions and Herbology classrooms. Until a little later in the game these are the only places you can go to brew potions and grow plants from seeds. It's never a bad idea to leave a potion brewing while you're away.
--If the spiders start to freak you out there is a setting to change their appearance to Ron's 'Riddikulus' apperance. Look for the Arachnophobia mode in the accessibility menu of Settings. It'll also cut down the random skittering noises you'll hear. Lots of spider nests in game, nice to know the developers added the option for those with the phobia.
--Cloaks have an additional Hood up/down appearance option. Not that an upstanding Gryffindor would need it.
Great way to herald the new year. Can't wait for the next installment.
‼️BATTLE TIPS for Wizard Oak‼️
Look at your COLLECTIONS right when you encounter NEW enemies! You can see what their weaknesses are and what spells to use against them to make battling easier! Your collections update right when you encounter them. (It’s that page you hate to go to when you get notifs for new Revelio pages and appearances, but there’s a section just for enemies). For example, you should be able to see the best way to defeat goblins and spiders you’ve already encountered. Feel free to pause RIGHT BEFORE battling to see it appear.
Don’t forget to break shields with the same color spells (purple accio breaks purple shields, red incendio breaks red shields, so you are able to continue battling). Shields can’t be broken unless you do that or protego/stupify combo also breaks shields (and also RB).
For potions - you can wait until you get farther along in the game for using those regularly (right now it isn’t easy for you to brew those yet, based on limited resources). You can always buy them, but have limited money now. But use wiggenwelds whenever! You can currently brew those in the greenhouse.
I clicked so fast. I love your HL journey. You keep me copany while i work(i'm an entrepreneur). I would be perfectly happy watching 3 hours of you just exploring the world. Cheers from Argentina and Happy New Year.
Cheers! And happy new year 🎊
Another helpful tip: You can advance time. So if you're running around and it's nighttime...you can change it to daytime. When you go to the map, look at the bottom right of the screen and it'll tell you how. It's the R3 button. Some quests need to happen at night or day, so the switching won't work but otherwise it will. I tend to switch to Daytime when running around the forbidden forest because it's easier to see and less creepy LOL
Tip: Chests shown on the mini map will have a directional arrow if they are in that location but on a different level/floor. The one in the courtyard has a small arrow under it's map icon indicating that it is located below the courtyard you are in.
Wow! Yet one episode before the end of the year! I wish all the best for Badd Medicine and for you Oak as well! You are one of the very best things I have found on social media this year.
Hey! glad to know we'll get more of HL every week! Also, a quick tip: When you get a new gear, the popup shows a green or red arrow, this indicates if its better or worse than the one you're currently using. And the values in the gear menu are comparative (-25 defense means it gives 25 defense, which is less defense than the one you're using rn). Still in the middle of this video so i don't know if you figure this out later on the gameplay :p
A little tip(: make sure you keep an eye out for the floo flame spots throughout the world map. They do show up in your mini map in the corner. But definitely get near them to collect them so you can fast travel throughout the world map since it huuuuge! There’s one right outside of Jackdaws cave so I would get that before you start on the main part of the quest!(:
Also in the Hogwarts map, if you click on the white flags they open up a more detailed view of one section of the castle which shows you the floo flames in the area so you can fast travel to even more specific areas within the castle! It helps when traveling from one side to the other. The green ones are ones you can travel to and you have to get pretty close to collect them(:
Hey Oak, I encourage you to explore the world outside of Hogwarts, It's extraordinary and really fun! They are tons of side quests available there and you'll be surprised just by how big it is! Also you don't have to be near a floo flame to travel by floo flames. Just click on your map on the floo flame where you want to go. You are only able to travel to the floo flames you have activated, which are green, not the ones you haven't yet, which are grey. To activate a floo flame you just have to be near it and then you can use the floo flame whenever you like. Hope this helps!
Enjoyed this one. Do collect the field guide pages, they will help you level up.
Little tip, when you aquire new gear from a chest, you'll get a green up or red down arrow letting you know whether it is better or worse than what you have on. Means you dont have to access the Gear Menu to check stats every time.
1:46:45 The House Chest quest is one of those long-term side quests to occasionally knock off a key when you run into them. A couple are even hidden in places you cannot yet access so its not really a quest you're supposed to quickly "get done" right away.
Thank You!!! -Oak
➡️ Those jumping chests with the eyeballs that stalks you whenever you get near them; 📦👁
You have the spell to use to open them. All you have to do is turn Invisible.🙈
Important! You need to turn invisible BEFORE the chest sees you coming. If it does see you then it won't open. If by chance it sees you all you have to do is walk away to a spot where it can't see you anymore and then turn invisible then walk up to it and open. DO IT! It is WELL WORTH it. You will get rich opening a bunch of them up.
‼️👍💰💰💰💰💰👍‼️😁
And a final fun fact; Luke Youngblood plays Arthur Plummly here at 1:28:32. He was the announcer for Quidditch in the Harry Potter movies!
Don’t waste your money on getting clothing, you’ll find it later in treasure vaults and chests. Always remember that you’ll need over 10k galleons to get a minimal start when the RoR opens after completing a main story quest. Seeds and spell crafts are expensive! You want to buy all offensive plant seeds, cabbages are great in battle!!!! As James from XpectoGo says, “Avada Kabbages!!” Cabbages take down Dugbogs, Trolls, wizards, goblins, etc.
Collect as many field guide pages as you can professor Wesley will be checking in on you to see how your doing. Plus it gives you points to level up.
Nah, don’t pay attention to whoever said the cat will eventually talk, they never will.
So for the door with the symbols it’s a little bit of math. There’s a number in the center, you have to add the 3 circles that make up the triangle to equal the number in the center. The symbol of the animals around the door corresponds to numbers 0-9. Add the number corresponding with the animal with the other numbers to equal the number in the center. You have to do this twice for each door. Symbol that’s on the left is usually solves the top on the right solves the bottom one.
IDK who told him that, but it's honestly wholesome that he tries every time. We love Oak.
Don’t feel like you have to waste time finding the pages though. You’ll be back through most of the locations a ton of times.
Oak, don’t sweat it too much if you accidentally sell a good piece of gear. You get so much gear constantly in this game that you’ll find something just as good, or better, pretty quickly more often than not.
Seconding this. Personally found it a little overwhelming just _how much_ gear the game can throw at you. Even with upgraded slots from Merlin Trials!
Can't wait for more videos
Amazing way to wait for the new year! Don't worry to much about clothing and buying them, you will keep finding better gear throughout the game in chests and stuff. Amazing to hear more drops are coming! Enjoying this serie!
COLLECT FEES! It seems mean and some of them give you a hard time about it but you will usually get 500 coins when you collect fees in quests, so it’s definitely worth it!
the whimpering of those poor chests. Gotta say, devs, what where you thinking?! Also: I love them and I want them in the sequel, even if it hurts my soul to violate them for gold.
Being a Gryffindor he should at least make the Slytherin npcs fork over some cash.
You definitely don't need to collect fees. I finished the game with 12k gold without ever collecting fees from anyone 🤣
"Looking for a rematch with those spider." Can't wait for the next episode. 🤣
At this point you can't do a lot with potions and plants...at least not on a large scale. However, you can go to the Herbology classroom and the Potions classroom and do a few things on a small scale. Planting and brewing really open up to you once you get into the Room of Requirement. That shouldn't be too far away for you at this point in your play thru...once you get in there you can start placing down spell crafts for potting plants and brewing potions. Just a reminder, you can get all of those at Tomes and Scrolls. Some of the stuff is quite spendy...a good way to get the coin you need is to go around the castle and Hogsmeade looking for the white and gold chests that have the eye on them. They can't be opened if the eye spots you...but if you can get inside, each chest of that variety rewards you with 500 Galleons...there are probably 25-40 of those chests just between Hogwarts and Hogsmeade alone so the coin can add up pretty fast. I would suggest NOT going small...such as the one small pot planter, or the single potion brewing station...its a poor use of your money. Buy the big stuff as its far more utilitarian and will allow you to plant or brew multiple things simultaneously as opposed to only one. I usually run with one small five plant potting station, two medium three plant stations, and two large two pot stations for all the herbology stuff and then for potions three 3 potion brewing stations. Maybe that is a little overkill but I've done four play thru's now and its really worked out well for me every time.
HBOs Harry Potter Series has soo much potential, there's a lot of things the Movies couldn't include due to the 2hr limit.. Episodes don't have that same limitation, they can just have each season be as long as they need it to be to tell the full story. I'm excited.. Hopefully we'll get a Grand Staircase similar to the one in the game, the movies Grand Staircase was kinda.... derpy. lmao
Happy new year everyone! Wishing you all a happy and healthy 2024! :)
Happy New Year! -Oak
Love your legacy videos. If i could mention, i found that you don't actually need to buy gear has you will be able to find similar if not better within the chests and it doesn't really matter if you accidentally sell a valuble item has i found it got your money higher when you need to spend on spellcrafts and seeds etc also some quests will give you up to 800 gold depending on what dialog you pick
Hi Oak!
Love watching you play and I am super excited for more drops. Tips:
Everytime you do a main quest especially if it's a dungeon prepair! Ensure that you have a few potions with you (wiggenweld for healing) you can make those in the potion classroom
Be sure to sell your items that are useless before entering a dungeon because you are going to loot alot!
Beware that if you ran out of inventory space that you destroy the green items first instead of blue and purple ones. (When they have the same stats) Because blue and purple are more worth and can be upgraded later on.
Have fun and be sure to loot lootloot inthe dungeon! 😊
You can totally request money from each character after the little side quests they send you on. It doesn’t change the storyline at all, and it gets money in your pocket which becomes really helpful for future purchases once you reach a certain point in the game.
The two braziers you lit around 1:10 are a puzzle. There are two more braziers and a clue on the ground near two of the braziers to help you interact with the braziers after they are all lit. And that is why the chest icon you tried to find on that bridge didn't pan out. The chest is underneath you.
Yes! Super stoked about more frequent uploads!
Me tooooo! More Potter FTW! -Oak
Just noticed this right before bed :^) Now I have something to look forward to with my morning coffee. Cheers, my man.
Love watching Oak and his harry potter journey! Don't be afraid to take your time. This is a game with alot of detail and an extraordinary amount to do. Don't feel bad taking your time to explore the world
I love watching how into this game you’re getting. I’m rewatching your guys’ series on the HP movie reactions and your commentaries are so spot on. I’m at 86% completion in Hogwarts Legacy btw!
Enjoying spending this New Year’s Eve watching my favorite channel and favorite game! Thank you!
❣️This will save you so much time❣️You do NOT need to be next to the floo flame you just need to have walked past it and lit the green flame ONCE then you can be in the middle of the forest and still floo powder wherever you want to go!!!
Thank you for your stream,We are watching with the whole family, greetings from Belarus
Happy New Year Oak. Just a little tip that when you click on the World Map, scroll up and down and you'll see how HUGE this world is. Also, even though your character is a Gryffindor, you should make time to check out the other 3 Houses too. All of their common rooms and bedrooms are fantastic. Lastly, when your outside don't miss all the cool stuff. It's okay to walk instead of run(of course if you want to). Love your Hogwarts Legacy videos
Hey dear you don't need to find a flo powder spot to travel. Once you find one when you want to travel back just go to maps. You don't need to find one again to travel.
Was about to comment the same thing 😂 poor Oak always searching a floo powder to fast travel ahah
I like "Thanks for logging on with me today" as an opening. It really matches the gaming feel! Really enjoying these videos. Happy to see the view count they're getting!
Nothing better than this on a great, rainy Sunday morning!! ❤
You are a treasure to us Potterheads 🫶🏼
u dont have to go to a flew powder to travel , u can travel everywhere to a flewpowderpoint
New years morn in Greece, with coffee at hand, catching up with various things, and watching Oak strolling around Hogwarts! The best! Happy new year Badd Medicine!
Have a very Safe, Healthy, Prosperous and Joyous New Year!
💖🎆🥂🎇💖
When you ran into the spiders you were going the wrong way; I was yelling at my screen “YOU’RE GOING THE WRONG WAY, LOOK AT YOUR MAP !!”😂
I was groaning myself - especially since I made the same mistake the other day, abandoned quest thinking I needed to level up more, and THEN found out I needed to go right not left into spider country 😂
I would save your coin for potions, plants, etc. Clothes will come by from exploring. You'll find a bunch of legendary clothing items (background will be gold) throughout the world when you're exploring and whatever else you pick up you can sell to get even more coin.
Edit: EQUIP ALL LEGENDARY ITEMS
The symbols on the doors have values from 0 - 9 (left to right), you gotta get the right value that makes the number in the middle.
Screaming at the screen saying oak you was right at the puzzle you done the second time when you said this again lmao
"Try to find what I sold"
oh, my sweet summer child
I thought he meant he tried going through the video footage to see what he sold.
More drops.. yippeeeeeee. Started replaying yesterday as i was excited watching you. Could give so many tips but i dont want to spoil your enjoyment.
Only just starting the video so maybe you figure it out but I wouldn't worry too much if you sold off a piece of clothing that was valuable or maybe brings your stats up more because you'll just find more clothing later on with higher stats than that anyways. And since you had it in your inventory already you still have the appearance of it if you want the look. Plus with upgrading clothing everything you are wearing now will probably be changed later anyways. Not the biggest deal.
Hah, I had a feeling you'd go for that awesome dragon leather cloak! Used that one for a good 1/4th of my playthrough, because how could I not?!
One thing I wanted to touch on regarding object interaction. Your character gives an audio hint at 55:08, _but_ the object itself is giving off a bit of a hint as well! It actually moves a tiny bit when you cast "Accio" on it. This is the games way of letting you know that it _can_ be moved, but is simply too heavy, or otherwise stuck in some way. Try to keep an eye out for some of these more subtle hints, as the player character (or companions) may not always give you one!
My new obsession 🎉❤
Comments tell Oak, dont buy gear, it will become absolute in a few quests. First thing he does for the stream . . . xDDDD Thats what 'merican freedom is all about!!!
If you wanna figure this thing out on your own 42:00 You can, there is a spot in the game which teaches you how. Go in front of the Library at the fountain and just keep running up all the stairscases, stay on the left. Once you are on the spiral staircase, take the first to the right and in that area you will find a blackboard which teaches you how to open the doors, just go there and take your time. Once you grasp the concept its just simple math.
The dadaelian keys are a slow grind, you have to find 16 and some doors are locked of where they’re at. No rush on this quest, even if it is not highlighted, it keeps running in the background when you are near a flying key. If you up the difficulty, it is harder to slap the key into the lock.
Everytime you have tea at gladrags I burst out laughing 😂😂
1:06:23 This guy, "No sticky fingers""
You just came out of Honeydukes after stealing Billywig Stings. You're the villain of the story
🤣🤣🤣 -Oak
Just me over here continuously refreshing my subscription feed hoping for the next installment of APPETON Oak's Hogwarts adventures...
Can't wait for the next one!
Maybe someone already said this, but you don’t need to go to a floo flame before going to another floo flame. You can go to a floo flame from anywhere
Oak: feels bad to just take peoples stuff.
Me: saves family then proceeds to rob them.🤣
Loot is the nature of most games like this Oak!! Don’t feel bad.
I kinda felt that way, too. "Let's just go about burgling people's houses and shops, and then turning around and selling it to the nearest vendor" - sometimes right in front of them! Last night, I raided the headmaster's bedroom while he was standing right there! It especially feels weird once you actually open the locked doors to get the items behind them.
@@kisili7319 😂 it really does. I saved the child then their house opened up and I started grabbing stuff while the lady and the kid kept thanking me for saving them. Talk about awkward.🤣
Just commenting because I love this new channel so much... 👽 ✌️
Oak: Ok guys, you told me not to spend my money in gears, I get it!
Also Oak: *spends the next 20 minutes buying and selling gears and almost gets broke*
I laugh so hard! 🤣
And that cloak dragon appearance is SO COOL. I use that for the rest of the game and never change 😆 It's the coolest of all!
So excited for more drops 😆 great way to start 2024 😊
Commenting again a helpful tip I think you would benefit from. There is an accessibility setting intended for the hard of hearing/deaf that will give you visual queues in the form of icons that will help you directionally to find the field guide pages you struggle with locating. It helped me tons when I was stressing out about collecting them all.
I ran into the spiders too. It's because we went the wrong way, he leads you towards a path next to him and if you walk down it you come to the way overpowered spiders. When you respawned you ended following the lit path which avoids the spiders, as you're supposed to do😂
Puzzle help as requested, I mentioned in the video before that the number pattern starts at 0 with the Demiguise {1st} image and ends with 9, the Hydra.
First {upper} puzzle 3 + 0 + ? = 5. Answer is 2 represented by the 3rd Arch icon {2 horned Dragon}.
Second {lower} puzzle Unicorn + 4 + ? = 12. Unicorn {2nd Icon} represents the # 1 so the Answer is 7 the Grindylow {Octopus looking thing}.
It gets easier as you do more, the icons are always the same and in the same order around every arch, so eventually you see the image and numbers and can flip to the answer without much trouble. It's the Finding both triangles that can be tough cause they aren't always visible or near each other
Oak, when you see the chests with the big eye on its center you can cast the invisible spell and snatch what's inside before it sees you.
Thank You!!! -Oak
Looking forward to this! ^^
Just in case you hadn't noticed yet or no one told this already: If you have got a quest, for example that moth quest, you see a purple circle on the map in the left lower corner when you are near the goal of the quest. You have to look for the solution in the area of the castle the purple circle indicates. Very helpful to narrow down where you have to search.
This has become my favorite notification to see 😂
Honestly, I'd do as many assignments given by the teachers before any battle quests, as I could. The more spells and potions you have at your disposal, the more formative you will be in a fight.
I really enjoy these videos. Great job! Here are a few tips regarding gameplay:
1. When you find a new clothing item, there's an arrow indicating if it's better than what you have equipped. A green arrow pointing up means an upgrade, while a red arrow pointing down indicates a downgrade.
2. The riddle you're stuck on is essentially a math equation. However, you need to find the meanings of "?" and "??," instead of "x." To solve the riddle you need to first discovering the clue sheet, which reveals the numerical values of each animal symbol.
3. Finding field guide pages isn't an ASAP priority, but it's important for leveling up, completing quests, and accessing specific items at certain levels.
4. Each shop in Hogsmid has two field guide pages. When you're near the page, you will hear a faint tingling sound and observe a golden outline. The page will only appear if you cast Revelio while looking directly at it.
5. Return to the potions classroom and brew as many Wiggenweld potions as possible. You never know when the next battle will come.
Hope this helps! :)
Another fun episode Oak a tip for you the chests with the eyeball on them require you to use disillusionment charm so you can sneak up on them and then open them..if you alert them they won't open
Interesting!! Thanks, didn't know that! Always asked myself what it is with those.
Really enjoying the playthrough. Refreshing to see someone figuring the game out instead of already knowing everything from the start.
It depends on how much you enjoy collecting as far as the field guide pages go, and the many other collectibles in the world. Though there are rewards for collecting in the challenges, and Merlin Trials can get repetitive, but they reward more carrying capacity. You'll want to revelio all the time out in the open world too, to highlight resources and more treasure. it's literally everywhere in this game.
You'll find that as you get further into the game you end up with more money than you can even spend, since you'll be able to craft all your potions and plants for yourself. As long as you open plenty of chests and coin purses you find lying about and sell all that extra gear, you should stay ahead of things. The only things you'll really have to spend money on are the crafting equipment (tables, etc.), so buying gear at a shop isn't a total waste of money. You'll find upgrade drops as you go, but not a whole set at a time. I always liked to stay at max power even if it meant buying gear, and I still ended up with thousands of unspent galleons. So you don't have to rely completely on drops. And keep in mind you'll find drops that are around the level of the quests, so if you're exploring dungeons below your level you'll find underpowered gear. But it's all good for selling.
