  • The Cecilia Waterfall is about halfway up the slopes of Table Mountain in the Cecilia Forest in Cape Town and is well worth the 45 min-1 hour walk to get there.
We had a little fun, did a little photography and shot a whole lot of me freezing my butt off! This video shows our hike up to the waterfall and the behind the scenes shots of the photos we posted this week on Instagram. In summary, sitting pretty on a rock is harder than it looks!
Cecilia Forest rests on the same mountain side of Table Mountain as Skeleton Gorge, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and Natures Ravine. For the more energetic, you can continue the hike up to the table top, for everyone else, the hike is a beautiful circular route with streams, walkways, 180 degree view points and the undisturbed sounds of nature the entire way!
If this video inspires you to hike Cecilia Waterfall, let me know!

That’s a stunning waterfall. Found it for myself a few weeks ago. Love it.
