    It’s not about the space, it’s how u utilise the space, I completely agree with you on that and I can see your background/ home aesthetic is 👌🏼! Well done.

    I think if you hung a door shoe rack in your washer/dryer closet door & behind your bath room door you could have lots more storage. 😊

    It would have been nice to show an ‘inset video,’ showing how the three different rugs in your living space displays a difference in each area.

    Agree totally with the sectional instead of many pieces. Youre so smart with decorating and organizing..very impressed. Your mom must be so proud of her daughter.

    Thanks for sharing. I really like the vacuum bags which are a great tip. I have never utilized these bags to resolve my storage problems. I going to try them out.

      Yes! They were a life saver. I seriously couldn't believe how much could actually fit in them.

    Great tips!👍 Apologies if i've mentioned them before but s-shaped pant hangers that allow you to have 5 pairs on individual rungs while only taking the space of one hanger are brilliant closet space-savers as are cascading hanger extensions for tops (especially good with the thinner hangers like yours).
    I totally agree that if you can fit larger pieces of furniture in your small space they make it seem less cluttered as your eyes aren't bouncing between competing pieces.
    Zoning and placement are key for a more homely, grown-up feel- you don't need lots of 'open' floor space unless you're always doing cartwheels!!
    I would say though not to be afraid of darker colours- even if it's only on an accent wall. 😊

      @kirsten-ashley  Před 3 lety +2

      Love those tips! I've tried the cascading hanger extensions, but with thicker hangers at the time and they felt pretty chunky so I'll have to try again with the thinner felt hangers. Accent walls can be nice when done correctly! I haven't exactly mastered them so i'm playing it safe with my bare walls 😆

    thanks for the tips, my room is what I'm working on and it's pretty miserable because it's less than 100 sq ft. lol. I will probably also need to rent a storage unit, but your advice will help me enhance the space that I do have!

    Love your tips!!! When living in a rented apartment, how do you hang your mirrors and art? Do you use nails or tape?

    • @kirsten-ashley
      @kirsten-ashley  Před 2 lety

      I used nails for some art and honestly ended up drilling holes in the wall to mount my TV and large shelf so those will need to get patched up. But I've also fallen in love with the 16 lb command strips which can hold much more weight if distributed properly and if you add enough of them!

    Hi Kristen, your studio flat is a super stylish, just wondering, is your bed a standard medium size, I mean 4 feet 6 inches wide and 6 feet 3 inches long? It's a perfect size... Your room looks like a chic high end hotel... You have a nice teste, well done and thank you for sharing!!!

    Love your video 🥰🥰🥰. Was installing the garbage and recycling bins expensive? Also was the installation renter friendly?

    • @kirsten-ashley
      @kirsten-ashley  Před 3 lety

      Thanks! Not expensive at all, I did it myself! The bin set was about $30 from IKEA. I did have to use screws on the bottoms of the cabinet, but I can easily fill the small holes when I move so It's not something I'm too worried about.
