#BlocPart #TheLoveWithin #Vevo - Hudba
As a 57 year old love this song. Dig the way it goes from a rather discordant start to a very structured chorus. Has an originality missing in so many modern tracks
I actually really love it. And it's for the same reason I've always loved this band. They do whatever they want. They don't stick to one sound. They're always experimenting and growing. This definitely as a lighter feel. And it feels good.
Dear Bloc Party: Thank you so much for such a great video and utterly fantastic song. Without sounding too hyperbolic and hippy, I heard this song on the right day, at the right moment, and it felt as though my heart broke with a perfect combination of release and relief and recognition. It's been playing in the back of my mind ever since. Again, thanks ever so much!
A mystical journey through the spherical waters of divine consciousness expressed in human music.
The whole album is a meditative prayer.
Love it so much !!!!
I loved Four, Silent Alarm, and The Nextwave Sessions, and it depends on my mood as to which one I want to listen to at any time. They're all unique and they're all different from one another. This has grown on me a lot and it's for a different mood and a different feeling than the others. Whether you like it or not, they've clearly tried something new and that's commendable. Whether it's old or new, I'm going to try it and try to embrace it, because it's Bloc Party and I know that Kele is, and always will be, a creative person that won't be satisfied with repeating the same style.
+Liam Lysaght besides kele's voice worth it
+Liam Lysaght This song is alright lol
+Billy Salmon You're alright lol :*
+Liam Lysaght I was looking for the perfect words to describe my feeling about the new stuff from Bloc Party but you did way better than I could ever think.
To me, a true fan of bloc party is the one who evolve the same way as their music style. As you said, every album are different and they are all masterpiece to me.
I can't wait to be on the 29th of January !!!!
+Liam Lysaght A Weekend in the City was a good follow-up album after Silent Alarm but then the band slipped into techno and I fell out of like them anymore than I did before. Once Four came out, I felt Bloc Party found the balance of their alternative Brit Rock and electronic element. This new album and single just seems like they're farther away. I think if the piano synth wasn't there this song would have sounded a lot better.
Lord, give me grace and dancing feet
As I conquer all anxiety
The angel told me not to fear
That the power to was in me
For I have learnt the way to pray
Like a muscle growing taut now
Bind the past into a knot
And let the love consume us
Let the love consume us
Let the love consume us
Can you hear the stars now sing
Resounding in D major?
As the god vibration resonates
And pulls us up towards her
Take your shoes off, feel the earth
Beneath your feet respond to touch
And let our laughter now ring forth
As the love consumes us
The love within is moving upwards
Sweeter than any drug
The melody is taking over
Guide my hand through this hurt
Pull back the veil
Let your eyes meet this world
The love within is moving upwards
So don't you want to get high?
And don't you want to get high?
And don't you want to get high?
Don't you want to get
Don't you want to get high?
The love within is moving upwards
Sweeter than any drug
The melody is taking over
Guide my hand through this hurt
Pull back the veil
Let your eyes meet this world
The love within is moving upwards
So don't you want to get high?
Don't you want to get high?
s/o to his band mates Gordy and Matt who started hitting coke and fucking up on tour etc. Very interesting.
Don't you want to get high?
“Lord give me grace and dancing feet”
Ahhhh the prayer! What a good song too
@@moosesnWoop it's believed that it was actually just Gordy, Matt was burn out of doing music for this band
@@bosyogurtlight nah back in the day it was both of them - but I also think they just got burned out
Why has it taken me so long to discover this track? First listen. First reaction - fuuuuuuccccck! It’s TOO GOOD. Like someone has taken a foot pump and connected it to my heart and kept pumping away until it feels like it might explode. Sheer joy. Thank you Bloc Party. You’re fast becoming one of my fav bands 💙💙💓💓🙏🏼🙏🏼
I'm so fascinated by how they manage to make the songs sound big and still seem very intimate. No other band can do that for me.
This song is a great example of why it's pretty hard to judge music upon a first listen. Wasn't sure about this song at first, but it's definitely a grower!
Came back here to comment exactly this XD
+Matt Eldridge Yeah. At first I didn't know what to think about this song. Now, I freaking love it!
Yeah, I didn't listen to it for a while, but I came back to it like a month later, now I love it!
+Matt Eldridge No this is the musical equivalent of walking on hot coals. Eventually your feet become so hard and callused, it stops hurting. That does not however mean the music has grown into something good.
Josh Wilson I respect your opinion that you don't like this song. My opinion is that the song grew on me tremendously.
One of my favorite bands, I love every album, this is like a new era for the history of Bloc Party,I didn't like the song the first time I listened ,now I enjoyed it a little more, I want to listen the full album now.
Im so mad at myself for only re-listening to bloc party recently. I discovered this song few days ago and i believe it has the same feelings as kasabian eez-eh. Ew at first and stucked with it now. But ive always loved bloc party since silent alarm. Thanks for the great music. Dont ever stop producing! ❤️❤️
I love how the opening line alludes to The Prayer's opening line, but with a personal responsibility. And modesty.
This track is one of the greatest musical gifts to humanity ever.
My mental health certainly agrees
@@charlottegrace6656 as does my 6 month old. He's been listening since the womb and it still soothes him every time 🥰 Thank you BP haha
@@dablarts9384 🤣 That's so awesome! And funny you say that, playing Tool for my twins in NICU definitely calmed them, and continued until about 9 months old haha.
@@charlottegrace6656 great minds lol. 46 and 2 is one of Allyn's other first jams haha.
May I suggest Jane Says official video, even though it's just a live performance, and Talking Heads, This must be the place. So far those two have been almost faultless lullabies 🤞😂🖤👊
@@charlottegrace6656 Listen to Jamison Faulkner - Way Back When‼️‼️
This song has the holiest chorus of all time
Yes, it is catchy. Can't say the same about the rest of the song.
Absolutely lovin it .... Make me so relaxed and out of stress, beautifully choreographed thanks to all the team behind this.
This makes me feel good. At first the guitar was a turn off, I didn't even know it was a guitar, but after a while I found myself smiling as I listened and watched the video. I like the way they expressed themselves in this song.
The fact that this is not what you're expecting from Bloc Party doesn't necessary mean this is a bad song.... actually i really like it, better than most of the music out there! BRAVI BP!!
AWESOME.
humans are just not ready for this !
I'm loving the songs I have heard from the new album so far. Yes they are different but that's what happens with artists, they evolve, if every album sounded the same the bands would be around for long. Things change with time.
absolutely love this track, so much energy, and the video is great fun too. Bring on Hymns!
going through a big breakup 10 years togrther.this song makes me bounce up when i feel like givibg up..thanks bloc party
when I first heard this song my reaction was ' wtf is this shit! ' now I love this song
+alex martin I'm still in the first part of your reaction.
+FBeno77 me too
Same here!!
YES !! Totally my reaction
jajaja! me too, but after hearing it twice, I thought; is awesome!
Love it, love it, love it. Was not a big fan of their last album but loved everything else so I'm glad to hear something this fantastic.
Really liking the chorus of this song. I wish the rest of the song had the same mood/tone. I think it's the background sound that makes it so good.
awasome song! I really like this band.
dá vontade de sair dançando por aí quando ouço essa música, muito contagiante💃💃💃💃💃
I love the progression from bloc party. to say that the sound of silent alarm is gone but the group has progressed.
I love the dancing, it's an uncontotrobale feeling, of the meaning ,"high" it's music. ☆☆☆☆☆ beautifully created..
How are every single one of bloc party's songs so amazing?
I really feel like dancing right now. love the song!
xBenQCatx just dance
The pure joy of Kele, in this video, is addictive
I've missed your music so bad... I'm so glad y'all finally hit us with this!
Como decirle que no a Sir Okereke y a Sir Russell :') es un gusto volver a verlos aunque falten dos piezas importantes
This song is like a "Don't hug me I'm scared" video, it starts all happy and friendly then it slowly becomes darker and a little off setting and then it ends it like nothing happened.
As a big fan of Bloc Party, this is a great song, vibe, video, and I bloody love it
I love this song. Its so uplifting. Thank you god for bloc party!
The song was always good, the video is beautiful.
This song is everything live.
I can't help but smile when I listen to this song!! Love it!!
Kele's singing and melodies take me to another place and time.
the hook is amazing!
Let's be honest, when compared to 98% of all songs in 2015, this a freaking masterpiece. It's a good song, don't see the hate though.
Buster Ren True. And we also know that bloc party has talent. Not like all the other mainstream shit out there.
This song is a banger! Why is everyone hating?
fede018 Because everyone's expecting Silent Alarm 2.0.
Bloc Party is so talented. I love this song!
Heard it live on saturday and wow ! Big surprise for all of us. Worth it
Man, this song helps when in rough times, but when you’re feeling good? 😁
My favorite part of this is Russell walking.
+LifeOfTheParty LOL - that was good too. He's like, "I'm just going to walk here guys. Don't know what you lot are doing, but I'm walking here."
+pvtherman He was probably thinking "Matt and Gordon were right to get out while they still could"
is he apart of the band? someone said he was only a feature
+dakdak op Russel is still in the band.
no the drummer chick and new baddest is in it too
Oh lordjesusbuddhaalla WHERE has this been. I needed this today. Thank you
Music for the new era of love. It's finally hitting the mainstream, and so beautifully.
Love it.
"Can you hear the stars now sing
Resounding in D major?
As the god vibration resonates
And pulls us up towards her
Take your shoes off, feel the earth
Beneath your feet respond to touch
And let our laughter now ring forth
As the love consumes us"
This is much more profound than the teen angst lyrics of old.
HYMNS is a good album !
It's awesome how so many other people felt the same way as I about this track. At first I wasn't digging it but bloc party has a way of getting the magic to me one way or another. I love that's it's a positive song without being cheesy or mediocre. Bloc Party have got me through some rough times and it looks like hymns wasn't a disappointment. 👍👌😃
Also Kele got a little husky lol
So fresh with this new style. I like it. In fact I enjoyed the whole new album.
That fucking ending though haha
I'm crying because I want my indie rock band back!
Bloc Party has taken a turn to a new path and they sound amazing now! Albeit very different from their earlier compositions.
I finally managed to like this song, was a matter of time. Now I can't wait for the release of their album!
Got to admit. Video does makes the song a little more pleasant to the ear.
loving it, when I first heard it I wasnt aware of who sung it but I thought it sounded like Kele but not Bloc Party. love the new sound just as much as the old.
A majestic piece, my heart is always and will be Bloc Party
The singer has really filled out since their last album. love bloc party
Why is everyone hating on this song? Be happy :)
Brilliant song, wonderful video, I can't get enough of this!
Saw show in Philly last night...Love thsi band, wish I could jam with them ... Great sound by Tom as well.
I love the old Bloc Party better, but this song is pretty awesome, the chorus is beautiful!
In love with the chorus.
It's a good song! I wasn't sure at first but listen to it 3 times and I'm sure it's a great song.
They were always a brilliant band, old stuff and new stuff ....................
actually bloc party bring a new vibe , and honestly i love this song
NOTHING beats the original BlocParty line up! NOTHING! Silent alarm and weekend in the city all day!
Great!
This video is way, ahead of it's time, so awesome! Give it a couple of years, you'll see :D Come back here in 5 years if you remember to and you'll see what I am talking about! Love this band so much! :D
Why does no one like this song? Yes it's different than their older stuff but it's refreshing. Saw them live and they played this song so much energy!
video definitely improves interpretation of the song by framing it as a dance tune
it's good fun live but don't really like it to listen to
The red haired dancer is my old housemate. When she didn't come home until 7am and then told me she'd been dancing around an empty shopping centre, I thought she was losing the plot 😄
Did anyone notice that the first line is ripped directly from the first line in "The Prayer"?
love this! 😍 plz continue to make music till end of time
Im soooo glad people are backing and defending Bloc Party on their new sound and this video
the definition of a grower
I knew Bloc Party had lost Tong and Moakes, but hearing this (and a few other tracks of Hymns) made me think Lissack had left the band too!
+agenerichuman He's playing the "keyboard" parts. Weird guitar effects I know, but that's what the hardcore fans are saying
+agenerichuman I think its because Moakes used to play those "extra" instruments, now Lissack had to take on the job lmao
Kele did say some fans wont like the album but they dont own the band MADE ME LAUGH
Yeah, Lissack has such a distinct style of playing. Even on Pin Me Down's album I could tell it was him almost immediately.
Simon Edgbaston yeah we don't own the band. we just pay their paycheck. they're free to do what they want... even if I don't get it or like it. I don't have to buy their music. if other people do that's that their prerogative.
I mostly listened to Bloc Party for Lissack's guitar work and Tong's drumming anyway.
Dancing experience which will take your attention, OK song is pretty obsessive too.
Cleaner is my favorite!!
Love this song! And a great video too. Bring on the tour!
people stop giving them shit. They've grown artistically since silent alarm. They're trying something new. I prefer the old stuff but I don't mind this track. Thank you for the new stuff guys
2:51 is that you, Super Hans?!
Holy shit
bit skeptical for being a long time bloc party fan but I can't wait till the full album is released, cheers, I still hope you guys are kicking it.
Do whatever you want to do mate that voice of yours is genius!
R.I.P. Silent Alarm era.
+Divine Avaline Silent Alarm era died after Silent Alarm.
+Victor Santana same for Kele's haircut
+Divine Avaline bands can't make the same music all there life ... If u don't like it don't listen to it
+JoeFish Plays Can I change my mind? This is brilliant.
+Divine Avaline bloc party have changed their style on every single album lol you should be used to it by now :) silent alarm would be out of its time now.
Too many people are holding on to the past... Silent alarm came out over a decade, of course that era has ended. They've come out with a few gems among their other songs, but we just have to accept that they're moving on.
YES!!! musicians arent 20 forever people!!
My favorite vocalist!!!! watch this live, it's even better
a few listens later and WHAT A TUNE !!!
'sweeter than any drug'
2015 me: wthf is this?
2019 me: YASSS... JUST YASSS. 🙊
Was very excited about the comeback... after listening to this, I'm not at all.
How? This song is great
@@mathiasprado362 it's shite. Their first two albums are classics, the following two were decent and anything since then has been garbage
I can't be the only bloc party fan who was there since silent alarm who actually likes this song/the new approach they're taking?
Once you listen to it two or three times it gets really catchy, I love it!
Nice hair Kele!
Did Kele just make a throwback to The Prayer in the first verse?
I love the song. Bloc party always keep the style. This is evolution.
Thankyou for new music
Didn´t like it at first, love it to the death now. Especially the video.
It's the guy from the Jungle-time music video!
Block Party = Méchant groupe !!!! j'adore
Sos unos capos, tremenda banda.
Éxito siempre.
Every time I see someone say that they "miss their old music" I just think, why do you miss it? It's not like it disappeared. If you "miss" it so bad, stop listening to this and listen to their old stuff. That's like saying that you miss your mother cause she's downstairs and not upstairs anymore. Also, people change, and I believe that you'll never truly appreciate music until you understand that. Be a little more open to new things. If you don't like it, cool, move on, but don't be like some people who give up on the band or artist completely just because they released something that was different then their usual. That's the cycle that you go through when discovering your musical style. Trying new things is important in music, and trust me, if bloc party or any other band were to stay the same for the rest of their musical career, they would get really boring really quick.
jfc yeah, I'd hate it if my favourite band only ever pumped out the same shit. Like sometimes there are albums I don't jive with, but overall you have to view it as a growth. They still have their old albums and there are probably hundreds of other bands who do something similar to what you dig, you know?
I love you xxx
Finally Somebody who understand it 👍
