I’m 45 years old too and I think we have very similar skin types. I was VERY oily when I was younger but now I’m a bit more combination. I like products that give that hydrating, dewy look but I’ve found that to much “dewiness” especially in the wrong areas, really emphasizes my pores and wrinkles and off sets the way the dewiness is supposed to make the skin look more youthful. If I use the right moisturizers, base products and highlight in the right spots then I can get the dewy look that works for my skin concerns. You look great for any age by the way!

    Hi Stephanie,
Oh how I agree about the Tatcha Rice Wash and absolutely on the Chanel lipstick duos!
I also love Tatcha’s indigo cream, rice polish, dewey skin serum and the cleansing oil. Though it’s pricey the oil feels sooo luxurious!
I’ve actually just bought the Good Molecules Toner. I think now I’ll eventually give Kopari a try, especially the eye balm! Anything to help get those darn dark under eyes!
My body skin is another issue as that horrible surgery that ruined my life took me from overweight 157lbs to now underweight average of 98lbs.
    Love to you and yours!

I am SUCH a lip balm girl; I just don’t like the weight of full-on lipsticks or the stickiness of glosses. But I saw so many people raving about the Chanel duos that I took the plunge, and though my wife/bank account are not thrilled about it, I am, because dang are they gorgeous. My latest “where have you been all my life?” purchase was Chantecaille’s tinted moisturizer; I love their gel foundation (and pretty much everything else of theirs) but I waited because of the price and the fact I have a whole bunch of other tinted moisturizers. But a 20% coupon came my way, my fingers did the walking, and sweet baby Moses and all his baskets, was it worth the splurge. It’s absolutely beautiful - especially on top of the Hollywood Flawless Filter - and is now my go-to light makeup day base. Always love hearing your thoughts, and on the wide range of products you talk about. Many thanks and much love!

I saw a derm in GMA once say the best body lotions will always be in a tub not a pump bottle. It has something to do with ingredients they use to make it work with the pump. I started using Cetaphil moisturizing cream in the tub container and it was a game changer for me. Costco sells a two pack! My whole family uses it now.

Always a pleasure to watch you ! I had purchased the urban decay hydro mania foundation, and I sent it back..it felt thick and not hydrating on my skin, total flop for me !! Maybe combination skins will find it radiant, but my dry skin didn’t..on the other end, the Givenchy is a delight !! Soft, light hydrating texture, I love that one !! The Essence I didn’t feel too hydrating either, so I guess it is all about what your skin likes, or doesn’t.

Tatcha is a hit and miss brand, but I do love The Essence. I’m on my third bottle. According to all the experts/dermatologists on CZcams, it’s “worthless” and there’s no good ingredients in it, but Japan is a different culture and I really believe they’re one up on us with this product. Give it a try. I loved their Camilla oil cleanser, but it is expensive and doesn’t do much more than drug store brands.

When you described the Chanel Rouge Coco it reminded me of how the Milani Color Fetish Shine Lipstick in the shade Lustful wears on me! You are a Super Multi-tasker, Stephanie. I don't know where you find time to keep doing videos at the same time you are moving and building a house! The only thing I can think of that I wish I'd tried sooner is The Leveler primer by Beauty Blender. It's #1 for me now! I have loved Tatcha products for several years. I use the Rice Wash a couple of times per week (I used to use the Camelia Oil cleanser before I became addicted to balms), the Water Cream in the morning, and the Silk or Dewy Cream at bedtime. I also love the Serum Stick which can be used like the Kopari Starry Eye Balm. I alternate the two. I have hit pan on the Starry Eye Balm!! I started using it the first time you mentioned it to your viewers. I think I should try the Laura Mercier concealer (I think I have but don't remember why it's not in my makeup bag). If it is hydrating and will help with my dry textured under eyes, I'm in! Because we wear masks, the eye area is much more pronounced since that's all people see! I do believe we are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel with masks especially for those of us who are fully vaccinated! Have a great remainder of the weekend.

Stephanie, here's how I fixed my eternally dry skin. At my local health food store, or The Vitamin Shoppe, they sell an oil. It's called Udo's 3-6-9. I add a tablespoon of it to my meals, whatever they might be, soup or entree, I just drizzle it over that. The point is, to consume at least three tablespoons per day. You cannot heat it or cook with it, you just add it to your food before you eat. Within a couple of weeks my skin was so much better and after a month it's so buttery soft I don't even use lotion at all anymore. One trick I learned was to use it along with Bragg's Apple cider vinegar to make the Good Seasons Italian salad dressing. It is so delicious and makes it so easy to get my udos in at lunch and dinner time. Udo's is good over scrambled eggs for breakfast. Takes a little while to get used to remember to add it but once it became a habit it's very simple. I keep a bottle of it in the fridge at home, and a bottle of it in the fridge at work, and I just add it to my food before I eat it. I got used to it very quickly. And it makes life so much easier to not have to deal with dry flaky skin anymore!

Stephanie, I have dry body skin, also, and have finally found something that helps. None of the high end products worked, so I tried this in desperation. It’s Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiance with pure cocoa butter and Vaseline jelly. It has a mild chocolate fragrance when I first pump it out, and it smooths and hydrates so well. You just have to have self control when the chocolate fragrance hits your nose, although it goes away quickly! It’s nice to finally find a drug store product that helps and saves me a bit of money💰

I wish I had tried the Becca undereye brightening/color corrector sooner. it's basically a moisturizing, light peachy tinted sheer concealer in a pot but it really works to brighten & conceal undereye darkness & discoloration. I don't even bother using an additional concealer with it most of the time. Alas, Becca is closing its doors later this year & you cannot find this product anywhere (along with the brightening undereye powder which I hear is amazing as well) Definitely sorry I slept on those products :(

Hi Steph, Tatcha is amazing. I use the Dewy Skin Cream which I know may not suit your skin type, but for my normal/leaning dry skin I’ll never be without it 🥰 An interesting but true story.. we can’t get Tatcha in Ireland, so I stock up when I get to travel to the USA. I recently finished my open tub of Dewy Skin cream and went to my back up drawer to open a new one only to discover I hadn’t labeled WHEN they were purchased. So I had three back ups with different batch codes and was afraid I was going to open the one that was most recently purchased.. they have a shelf life of three years unopened. I emailed Tatcha, explained my dilemma and they told me to email them the batch codes and where the products were purchased. Which I did,. They contacted their production team with the info I had sent and came back to me almost immediately to tell me which jar I should open first according to the batch code. It was a jar I had purchased in Sephora in Disney Springs in 2019 and is good until Winter 2022 🤣 Their customer service is absolutely amazing and I’ll always be a loyal customer!

I just turned 50, when the heck did we get this old?! I don't feel my age, ok I'm lying, some days I do.
You asked for Tatcha recommendations, I have one. I use a bunch of their products, but the one I recommend to anyone who will listen is the powder rice cleanser. Now, you use the liquid version so you probably don't need the powder one, I have dry combo skin that sometimes breaks out but I haven't had a single breakout since I started using this stuff almost 3 years ago. It has CHANGED my skin. The powder one is great if you travel a lot, you don't have to worry about TSA. I use it once a day as part of my 2 step cleanse at night. This is one product I'll keep buying for as long as they make it. In 20 years when Tatcha is no longer "cool" and it's considered an old-lady brand I'll be a 70 year old with the best looking skin. You watch.

Hi Stephanie- we have the same skin coloring, I usually go by your shades and so far everything has worked out for me.. I had the same issues with LM concealer, my shade is 1.5 C. Try it, I think it might work for you too. I tried both 2s (C and N) and they're both too dark. Hope it works!!

What is the Nars product? The link takes you to the Mercier concealer.

I felt the same about Tatcha. Then I received the setting powder in my @trendmoods box and I was sorry o haven’t tried it earlier. Will buy skin care for sure once my stash dwindled down some.

What's your favorite way to apply the UD hydro maniac foundation? Do you have a video on it?

I’ve always trusted your recommendations (hello Drunk Elephant!) so I’m going to order the Kopari under eye moisturizer.

Hi Stephanie. Another fantastic video! How does the Chanel coco dream compare to Charlottes happikiss? I’d like to try one of them, but not sure which.

Hi Debbie- I bought the Tacha essence over Christmas and didn’t care for it. Used the bottle never noticed any difference plus it just felt like water. Went back to my other brand. What do you get from it?

Have you tried the Nivea body lotion in the dark blue bottle (I swear *only* the dark blue bottle seems to do it for me, not the light blue one (thinner) or the white one (even thinner)). Not the blue tin, not that. There is a lotion that comes in a dark blue bottle.
