      🥰 Anytime I say "over 40" or "over 35", it includes any age over that number, whether it's 45 or 80, etc. b/c all of those ages are over the age I state. But sometimes I'm not sure if people perceive it that way for some reason, so I like to clarify. 💖

      @@StephanieMarie I have always assumed that's what is meant but it just sounds even more inclusive when the number is vocalized. I truly appreciate it. I sometimes wonder if the younger and more naturally beautiful (60 and under) see us mature-and-wise-still-want-to be-beautiful (65 and older) as too old to still love makeup and do it justice. We may be older, but we aren't dead yet! 😄😉😂

      Hi Lisa! So if you search YT for Stephanie Marie powder or type powder or powders into the search icon in the menu bar on the right, down below the header on my main channel page, you can find the videos I've done on powders (or any subject 😜). This one on under eye powders comes up that I did a couple of months ago: czcams.com/video/LeToH15jBNk/video.html There are some great choices there. But since then, the Gucci came out and it's basically invisible under the eye. So it would probably be my top choice for dry under eyes at this point. :)

      Have you tried the Hourglass Veil setting powder? I've always had a hard time finding a powder that worked on my combo dry skin and it's one of only two that I can use; the other is the Nikkia Joy powder. The HG powder is so finely milled that it's invisible on the skin and instead of clinging to dry patches, actually blurs them, something I've never experienced before. It also extends the wear of my makeup and prevents it from breaking down during the brutal NYC summers. They have a mini for $20 and it lasted me at least 4 months.

    I love the No 7 and Maybelline ones. The Nikkia Joy makes me sad. It's GORGEOUS, but something in it makes me break out within hours. It's so sad because I love Nikkia and I love the way the powder looks.

    I pretty much have all these powders which is sad 🤣!! I’ve been watching your videos and a few other influencers to find the perfect powders for my now 40 year old skin. I have to get the Nikkia Joy because I keep heating nothing but great things!! What do you think about the By Terry Hyaluronic Pressed Powder? I was thinking about getting the small compact for $20 to try because I’ve heard great things about it for dry, mature skin

    • @StephanieMarie
      @StephanieMarie  Před 3 lety +1

      It's a lovely powder! Especially for dry skin - a TINY bit goes a long way...if you use even a bit too much, it can look a bit off, so use less than you think you should! :)

      Thank you Tammy! I wish I could tell you 100%, but it's so individual based on your skin type and texture, no matter your age. I think any could work, depending on what you're looking for based on the descriptions/benefits of each. :)

    When u r out and about and u use the sponge to touch up, do u ever look cakey or look like u have to much? When I use my Maybelline Fit Me pressed powder I feel like I look older. Am I using it wrong? Should I use a blotting sheet before hand?

    • @lisafeldmann9863
      @lisafeldmann9863 Před 3 lety +1

      I need to use a blotting sheet. Otherwise, cakiness happens. I have found the best powder for a touch-up to be the primed and powerless by Too Faced.

    • @StephanieMarie
      @StephanieMarie  Před 3 lety +1

      I use a blotting sheet or tissue first to blot away oil. Otherwise, you're powdering on top of your oils from the day, which can give a cakey look.

      If you're looking for some really good blotting sheets that won't disturb your makeup, try Tatcha's Aburatorigami Blotting Papers. They're $12 but the pack has 40 papers instead of 30 like other brands and they're also bigger than others I've tried.
