- Wow! I am going to Punta Cana EVERY Rainy Season - BEST WEATHER, CRAZY PRICES, AMAZING CROWD!
My travel life will never be the same. For years I was anxious to travel to Punta Cana during rainy season, which runs from May to October, but after staying in Punta Cana completely for the month of June - the middle of rainy season - my mind was blown! The weather was amazing and the prices were so insanely cheap! Punta Cana is the best Caribbean destination for summer travel without a doubt!
In this video I explain when to travel to Punta Cana for the absolute best combination of excellent weather and the most affordable all-inclusive resort rates. Also, I reveal a big secret as to which weather data I will now ignore because it is completely wrong. Finally, I will show you just how extremely cheap Punta Cana hotel prices are during off-season and why I recommend visiting during these special months.
I had the happiest trip ever, discovered some phenomenal properties, and saved several thousand dollars. Do not be timid of Punta Cana during rainy season because you will have the vacation of your life if you watch this video.

I was going to say this, but saw you already commented :)
Thanks for commenting, you beat me to it. Barbados is a beautiful island country, but not anywhere near the A-B-C Islands
Great info like always James god bless you, we are going to PC tomorrow to the Hyatt zilara cap Cana for 9 days I can’t wait 😜
Thank you for the tips James. Looking forward for your impressions on Serenade all suites.

Thanks for your suggestions we are headed to excellence el Carmen this Friday. We even upgraded to the excellence club based off your suggestions.
Thanks for the info James really helpful my family & I are wanting to go to caribean but the prices are above our budget - this info is a game changer now back to your video on "getting the best buy"
Spot on as ever. . I always ignore the weather forecasts completely , we know if it rains it’ll be for ten minutes and done or at night .
Great job. Very useful info. Man we gotta get ourselves there sometime. Looks so nice. Hey, look out for hurricane Beryl. heading that way by 7/4 at the time of this writing. Take care James. Cheers.
We’ve always aimed at early November and late April and have had the same experience. Great advice!
I’ve been to Cancún and playa del Carmen in September 3 times and the weather was perfect 🤩
James good to see you getting back on your game. Humidity would kill it for me in the rainy months for sure. Hang in there brother!
Dreams Royal Punta Cana October 2024
❤❤❤You're so right about expectations 💯💯 I've learned that years ago😅 Beautiful Scenery and the hotel looks so nice 😍 I tell ya....I will get there soon😂❤looks peaceful! Great video as ALWAYS ❤
Hi James, thanks for all your interesting hotel reports! I see you stayed at the Serenade All Suites. I really liked it there at the beginning of December and will be there again in four weeks at an unbeatable price. I'm really looking forward to your report.
Best CZcams traveler out there! 💯😎
For anyone reading the comments, I will add my own experience to this. I've been to Punta Cana for a week at a time, 3 times. Twice in May and once in early April. I consider it dry season thru may for all of the Caribbean. When I went in late May it was no rain all week. In fact, we've never seen much rain when there, maybe for like 15-30 mins once. But I've been to the Riviera Maya twice in June, once in December, and once in May. It rained and was stormy at least some every time we were there EXCEPT for May. So I feel that in general, if you want to go to Cancun/Tulum, go in Jan-May. If you want to go to PC, only DONT go August-October due to hurricane season.
Heading to secrets cap Cana soon, thanks for the info.
Hey James,
Travel safely ❤
One of the few CZcams channels I follow religiously
What timing! We always have to take our annual vaca in July because we travel with a teacher on summer break. We leave for PC in 3 weeks! Of course Excellence based on your ranking videos.
Good to see you James. I have my first mother - adult son vacation in mid Sept (yikes!) at Serenade Adult only, and a Dec vacation with my husband at Secrets Tides. I wonder if I will have reviews of those resorts before I go? HAPPY you look so happy and that Punta Cana was so good to you. Cheers.
Wow, sounds like you got some awesome prices! I never clicked a video so fast. I saw you standing outside the serenade all suites and thought you were going to review it. lol We're going in January. I'd love to hear what you thoughts on the place are. :) 🙏🙏🙏
Leaving for Excellence Punta Cana in a few weeks🙏🏼🫶🏼
Let us know how it is. Been to the Finest & Excellence El Carmen. Do the VIP at the airport $100pp it’s worth it.
I was there for a week the first week of July last year. My wife and I didn't want to leave. You're going to enjoy it. Rained one day and decided to visit Higuey on that day.
So are we! :)
This is the best resort. Service and food are top tier and beach is really close to all rooms
Awesome! I'm headed there in November enjoy
90 degrees and 70% humidity right now. I've been in Mazatlan during rainy season, thousands of crabs came out of the ocean! Excellent video, thanks.
PC is an amazing place to go on vacation. 😍
You should do the brand new all inclusive which is secret tide punta cana.
May is the way to go, also after spring breaks but befote the kiddies are out of school. I rolled the dice PC for our anniversay in September 2022 and lost to Hurricane Fiona. Next year went to Aruba, haha.
Same feelings about the cloud cover. By cloudy the mean clouds off over the ocean...
I found your channel a few weeks ago its great ! Thank you. What do you think was the best family resort that you visited?
Coolist+Dubai=Gold 💫
We are here in PC right now really hoping hurricane beryl doesn't take a right turn 😀
Fingers crossed 🥰
The hurricane mainly affected the city of Santo Domingo main boardwalk/Malecon. There was lots of rain in Santiago, but Punta Cana and the east coast (Punta Cana, Romana ) is in good shape.
We were in PC mid June of 2023. Perfect weather. Sunny every day. Seaweed was bad but oh well.
DR has always had the best vibe from all of the caribbean spots I've visited. Also by far the best tasting fruit is in DR. Only downside is Punta Cana get hammered with seaweed.
We've been to Cancun in early June & late September. One was humid & had a few showers, one was perfect. Just look at the hurricane forecast anywhere in the Caribbean during summer.
I just stayed at that same resort you’re at and the weather was absolutely beautiful all day every day.
How did you like it? I am thinking of booking there next year.
@@heathermckinnon1865 beautiful resort, family friendly, great pools. Service was OK, food was OK. I booked the premium suite and loved the room especially for the price.
Thank your for there information I fine to be good
Correct thank you for your information it good
Hi, we meet You in the Serenade. You are a very Nice person. Thanks for your tips.
How did you enjoy Serenade?
I was at the Lopesan last week, the weather was amazing!
But the swim area wasn’t good! Right?! It was tiny.
Are the Jamaica reviews over? Thought there were more coming.
Just went to PDC for two weeks in June and had sunshine every day! The humidity was kickin but no complaints here. I had a small USB-C pocket fan when needed.
we went to PC last October, it was awesome. Rained only once for like an hour or so....we stayed at Riu Palace....we will def be back
I've been to Punta Cana and Mayan Riviera both in early June and we had terrific weather Punta Cana was a little cloudy and had half an hour of rain the whole trip
Yes,you did warn me about May to Riu Republica. No rain until day I left. LOL. HOWEVER!...was really disappointed w/resort,BUT parties were off the hook!
May is great time to visit...
Heard the Beryl is crossing Caribbean. Good luck take care brother.
Thanks for info, little worried that I’m going to Cancun late July lolol
I went to Jamaica in the middle of June. Everyone was telling me not to do it. I went, and experienced pristine weather for all 10 days, Stop worrying, you will love it. Cancun gets similar weather to Jamiaca
My partner and I love DR and always go in May and it’s great each time! 😅 not a lot of rain in the beginning of the month it feels.
Just returned from PC and had fabulous weather. We actually embraced the times of day where it was cloudy as it offered a bit of respite from the relentless sun. Zero rain on our 7 day stay at Dreams Flora. Cloudy periods were short. In fact, this video looks like you are at Flora??? That room looks familiar!
Just got back from DR. It was cool but the sky was violet colored and it was Vegas hot with a sea breeze.
Rained for 6 out of 8 days in December last year when I was in Jamaica.
We had rain almost every day in April. Not all day rain but cloudy with random rain. Not terrible but… We stayed in Punta Canta at Lopesan. Great hotel! Beach was beautiful but the swim area was tiny. Big negative due to the channel for the boats.
Thanks in no small part to James we picked Punta Cana for our first Caribbean trip at the end of next May. We'd go sooner, but that was the first date everyone was available. If all goes well we'll pick a new destination. Cancun perhaps? Eventually, we want to travel to Europe and even Bora Bora.
Will you do a review on Secrets Cap Cana? Trying to decide between there or Excellence Punta Cana
June!!! We have gone first week of June to Cancun in 2023 & 2024….we also did January and February in Cancun and Punta Cana both years as well… I 100% prefer the May/June months.
September has been great so far when I've gone. I understand the risks of storms. But it's the cheapest, and I don't mind storms. So far haven't been in any. Just little rain.
So are you going to review Serenade All Suites since you are there?? I am going there next year!
Can you please get out to Tulum for me bro? I am looking at it in the near term. I need to know the best spots
I have had terrible experiences going to the Bahamas in December - too cold to enjoy the water unless heated and although warmer than the US, still could be only around 70, which is too cold for the ocean and the pool. I think for me March - June is the sweet spot to get higher temps but not too hot, and avoid the worst part of the hurricane season. Of course I am only talking about Bahamas, as I have only been to PR once and Grand Cayman once.
Deng, I'm going to Hyatt zilara late august.
I’m trying to book right now today for later this month .. which riu is the best ??
When are you going back to Cancun? Will you be hitting up Hyatt Ziva Turquoise?
Sir, what camera and software are you using may I ask? your picture and editing quality are great.
hello mr coolest
Love the videos but out of curiosity is there any reason why you haven’t visited Aruba? The nightlife seems like it would be up your alley.
And you are there for how much time ...'cause i ll be there next week and i would like to meet you !!
Me and the whole family always travels to punta cana in octobre. Amazing price (5* hotels for the price of a 3*) Never never a rainy day. Amazing weather and lots of service do to less occupancy …
What made you decide to go there in June?
I found this out. It was way cheaper to go to Punta Cana than Mexico. I had enough for a free flight on Delta. Trying the Paradisus this time. Never been to a Melia brand before.
This whole year has been weird weather wise all over.
The best time to go to the Caribbean, Europe or Thailand is during off season. I always do it. I just got back from 17 days in Thailand and only saw one day of rain. Rates are low, and excursions have loads of places
My brotha when are you doing sanctuary punta cana…??
Later this year
I’ll settle for 3rd
Im trying to celebrate my birthday and im trying to find the best for relaxation and party with good food. Do you have any suggestions?
Have you been to hideaway Royalton Riveria!? I can't decide between that one or Royalton bavaro. We are 30 and want luxury modern but fun resort :/
When are you going back to Vegas?
Beryl says hold my beer)
When are you getting back to Vegas? it's been to long.
Tropical weather is unpredictable. There are historical trends but you can toss those out the window.
Punta Cana Spring 2025 🤩
We did the first week of June in Mexico We didn't get much rain at all A couple little showers one afternoon but the humidity was off the charts Even the Mexicans were sweating and saying it was too hot
Back in PC?! Man I thought you did all the good hotels already
He hasnt done some of the Cap Cana resorts which he will be doing later this year
How is the weather today? Are you safe in the carribbean?
Bonaire
Welcome back to the Dominican Republic Coolist, your home away from home.
For a family vacation would you go to Punta Cana or Jamaica?
is it that risky to go to punta cana in september?
i have alrdy set my last 2 weeks holiday for 1-14 september and i was going to book punta cana, but now im scared
Were going beginning of August for 12 days. Would this still be considered dry?
no, that's part of the low season, but do not worry, the vast majority of the time, the weather is incredible throughout the caribbean. You have to be unlucky to get caught in anything bad
Cancelled my trip to DR due to all the illness I was hearing about. Heading to Sint Maarten instead.
I'm pretty critical of CZcamsrs. I feel as if there were no negative effects in his work, post family news.
Only thing I noticed is that he was in a club forcing a smile..that seemed a little off but his work seems as good as ever.
Let's get James to 100K subs. Smash the Subscribe button! 😎
Unfortunately, we got unlucky in 2022, caught the last hurricane, fortunately, only our last 2 days were ruined...😅
