Garrlands on the whole staircase will look lovely, Josie. Perhaps check with your electrician how much weight he thinks you can add to the chandelier. The baubles are fab.
I could swear I heard "testicles" mentioned! 🤣🤣🤣 The Christmas Balls hanging off the chandelier look fabulous but you are right to be concerned about the additional weight. Perhaps an inquiry call to the electrician that installed your fixture to put your mind at ease.

I just LOVE the garland on the staircase! I think another one to finish it off would be great. I think some red ribbon and/or fairy lights on the metal arch outside would look so festive!
Totally agree with the fairy lights! Even if you are not having visitors you’re doing it for yourself! I think fairy lights really add a nice glow when we have so little daylight and the leaves on the deciduous trees have all fallen.

Hi Josie, my Mum and I have not long subscribed to your channel and we're really enjoying your videos. Going to Burford garden centre is such a delight since we can't go anywhere. Just wanted to say you bought a witches ball... although a rather floral one.. witches ball were used by "witches" usually midwives or women who knew how to make medicines with herbs and such. So they would hang them in front of their work station usually in a window, so when they were making "potions" (which wasn't allowed as it didn't fit with ideas at the time) they would be able to see if anyone came into the room and then they could hide what they were making. Also it showed any unwanted spirits that could sneak up on the "witches". And I know this because we have a witches ball 😊

Spiders hate peppermint oil. If you'll put some into a squirt bottle with water and spray some around door frames, etc., the spiders will run!

I’m a bit blue deviled today.....when my husband and I were first married ( 42 years ago).... we bought a blow up giraffe....I don’t even remember why.... we named him Harold.....we had months of fun posing him in various locations or dressing him up in “ costumes”....it was a fun, carefree time in our life....at this stage of life when more is behind us than in front, memories are wonderful....I pray you and Charlie have many many happy years together making memories....

I use fishing line for decorations hanging from the chandelier, it's pretty invisible.

I’m making lemon & thyme infused sea salt for our annual homemade Christmas gifts right now! So easy to do and will make a lovely gift. And it’s making the house smell AMAZING!

I believe the little silver blue tree by the front door is a Blue Spruce, you can plant in the spring. Yes, the front arch would look very nice with a garland (it could be simple greenery) whatever you & Charlie decide will be wonderful! 🙋🏻🎄
Josie, a large bow with several different ribbons and long streamers would be beautiful and a less expensive option to have running down the ballister at the staircase landing. Just a thought for you to ponder.
