As a Realtor (for over 20 years). I would say…. If something is really tearing at your heartstrings sometimes it is worth the jump. If you wait you may never find another home that matches that same feeling. So excited for you guys and best of luck in your search.
I want to say the same!
My parents were custom home builders, and developers, in the 60s and 70s in the Lower Hudson Valley of New York State. My mother always said exactly what your dad said. View a house on a rainy day. If you really like it on a dark, rainy, day you will love it when the sun is shining. I was surprised when you said that.
Hudson Valley girl here, born & raised 👋 🍎 🍁 🌳
@@cassandrasmom - where abouts? I grew up in Rockland County, specifically Orangetown. Born (1954) & raised in Blauvelt, then moved to Nyack and lived there until I moved to San Diego in 1999, and we moved to Harrisburg, PA in 2018.
@@RGSBusinessSolutions On the border of Orange & Ulster County (🍎 Apple country 🍏), about an hour north of Rockland County. I’ve lived in Orange County all my life (turning 40 in September).
@@cassandrasmom Nice to meet you!
@@RGSBusinessSolutions Likewise!
If it doesn’t invade their privacy too much, I would love a video with your parents talking about how they raised you and how you all have built a relationship that keeps you so close as an adult. I love the way you just hang out with them. ❤
The first home with the lovely garden etc seemed to hold a special place in your heart…even with the fact that you might not be able to renovate any of the buildings. My husband and I always go with our gut feeling when making big decisions. Having your family close by will really be lovely especially when you do start a family. As a retired military family whose husband would be gone for 7 months at a time (and didn’t have the opportunity to have family close by when we had our children), the best advice that I can offer is to be as close as you can to family and friends. And you can never go wrong with the beautiful sleepy area of the Cotswolds. Will you keep your current home?
It takes so much time and energy buying, renovating, as well as so much money in stamp duty and solicitors fees, moving fees etc. I’d say five straight in with a larger house that you will grow into. My husband and I bought our family home whilst we were still engaged, it’s surprising how easily a larger house soon feels like home and you can fill it happily! Then once we’d got married and did some work on the house it was time to grow our family and our son came along without any major upheaval or thought of having to move again. Got for the big house I’d say 🙌🏼💗
How lovely for Roo to be near her little friend when you move. Usually if people re visit a house they are not sure about, the second viewing will sway them. You will notice things you missed the first time and you will either love it more or find it isn't for you. This is from someone in real estate. Wishing you all the best Hannah.
That’s so true, i will definitely do second viewings before offering on anything if we decide to! 🤍
I've been a Realtor for 30 years. You will definitely know which one is for you... you'll feel it, no hesitation. I always enjoy watching you & Roo. My next trip to England will be to the Costwolds, hopefully this Fall.
I liked house#2. Take care & have fun house hunting! Carol, South Texas.
This has always been a dream to live in the Cotswolds hasnt it ? So how wonderful !!! Praying you find a really special home with personality, views, location ....just all the feels.
I think house number 1 the garden and views outweigh the grading restrictions - but either way you won’t get it wrong as the Cotswolds will be your stunning and cosy home wherever you move to.
The Cotswolds are so beautiful, my husbands Aunt lived there until she passed away. I loved going to visit her and she would show us around all the beautiful villages, really is the jewel of England ❤
Been watching from NYC for a year and I just love your channel. Number 2 describes what you wanted before house viewing but I think number 1 got you. 💕
I agree! ✨
House number 1. Im from the New Forest but live in New Zealand and your videos are such a cosy portal back to my old life in the forest, ive also convinced my kiwi husband that we are taking a trip to cotswolds this christmas when we are back. Yay!! Laura x
Good morning. The best choice is the place you feel most comfortable now. Live in the moment! That is all we really have, isn’t it? Happy for you!💜😊
It's a hard task you have set yourself Hannah! You said you would love a tiny cottage in a beautiful setting. You also said you wanted somewhere to possibly live long term, and that means Kenny, and potential additions to your family in the future😊 Also, that feeling of rattling around d in a bigger place changes once you have your furniture, and things around ypu. However, if a place has your heart, you should never ignore that feeling, houses talk to us. All the best to you in your search 💕
Your videos are a breath of fresh air, so glad to have discovered your channel recently 🥰
Like you say…just wait til you have kids, it’s like a flitting every time 😅😅 you sound so happy talking about moving to the Cotswolds. There is something about living in the countryside, good for the soul, and you can always nip to the city for a weekend break or for a shopping trip 🥰 Cotswolds is gorgeous ❤
Thank you for sharing so excited for you two. ❤🎉
Cotswold here we come!! So excited for this next chapter of you and Kenny plus rue next journey, can not believe the content we shall see once you move🤗
I am so excited for you! Closer to family and friends is important! I love how you can so easily navigate through change and renewal! Can’t wait to see what you guys choose 😊
I'm thinking house number 2...but they were all so gorgeous 😊
My fave CZcamsr. I am here for the Cotswolds content Hannah. 🙌 Christmas in the Cotswolds is gonna be EPIC.😍🎄
Excited to go on this journey with you!!!
The house number 1 with the garden and views looked incerdible, and i could almost feel your enthusiasm through the screen. Maybe have a good chat about that to see if it could work for you. Lots of love from Finland. xx Nella
Always happy to see your updates🤎
Ah just watched the vlog when you moved into your house you are in now- you were soo excited. You will just know when you find your next home. Enjoy the process, look forward to seeing it all unfolds. Glad your moving nearer your family, great support when Kenny is away.
And of course darling Roo. So sweet. ❤
The Cotswolds is my home, so I can completely understand you wanting to move back.
Can’t imagine living anywhere else
how wonderful! good luck with finding your new home :)
I’m so happy for you that you’re planning to move to the Cotwolds. You’re living the dream ❤.
What a beautiful video! All the properties are sublime, as are the settings. Good luck with the house hunting!🍀
Enjoyed the video today. So excited for you to be buying a home in such a beautiful place and very happy that you’re sharing the journey with us. I liked house #2 but they are all lovely.
My daughter and I love your videos. I am certain you will decide on the right home for this stage of your life. Good luck🍀
Thanks for another video when I need it the most! I love that you show the background story and always your honesty ❤!
I loved your video Hannah. Thank you for sharing your future plans about your home in the Cotswolds!!
I would want to be near my parents as well if my fiancée was away for a while. I would sell the house in Manchester & use that money to get what I really wanted in the Cotswolds which would be able to grow a family. Doesn’t make sense to me to keep 2 homes when you don’t have any ties to Manchester. Will enjoy house hunting with you, 🤞
I lovvve the Cotswolds charm! Excited to see which new house you pick!!
I think the first house with the garden and the view. It would definitely be my choice. Such a beautiful setting. Probably would be wise to get back quickly for some more viewings on different houses just to see more options but if your heart strings are being pulled then that must not be ignored. Good luck 🏠🏠🤞
House 3 and the area looked beautiful. 😍 I'm just very excited for you and any one you choose will be great! Looking forward to seeing what you decide and how you make it your own.
Oh my ….I just fell in love with the wood of staircase😅!
I’m in MA, and we don’t see much of that! What history! 💕
I think the sweet cottage number 2 is probably the one for the moment ❤. Thank you for your beautiful video ❤!
One! The first cottage you said was everything you thought you wanted!
My experience of house buying has been it's so important to follow your heart and guts. The one time I chose with my head, because of a time constraint, the house never felt right no matter what changes I made to it and I was always very unhappy and unsettled there. I sold it two years later and eventually found this place which felt like home from the first moment I saw even the front of the house and has been my sanctuary ever since. 💗
Hi Hannah, thank you for giving us an insight into the house search. I'm from Germany & love the Cotswolds, would love to live there too.
We are in the UK every year & since we are also at the Cotswolds this year we will definitely go to Fire & Flow, it just looks so delicious.
Number one is my favorite by the way 😊
Think its house #1 truley. You seemed so so in love with it and i think it may just be the :perfect: fit for now.
Have you come across your page and was instantly gripped and inspired 😍. We purchased a Grade II listed cottage (in Devon) and honestly I would say never discount a house/cottage because it is listed. We have never had any issues so far with renovating and the planning office have been amazing. They are keen to bring older properties into the 21st century for sympathetic modern day family living. We were approved to remove a structural internal wall between the kitchen and dining room and honestly had no issues. It was a little more expensive because of the planning but that was more because of architectural fees and not so much the planning. Our cottage also had a two story extension done in early 2000s so there are possibilities. Wishing you all the luck on your search (if you've not found the one already 😄). I cannot wait to follow along ❤️ xx
Wow thank you for bringing us along on this journey - what a dream 😻😻 all the houses looked so lovely but house number 3 was SO GORGEOUS but I understand your reservations! - sitting here now just planning a trip to the Cotswolds now 😅
I'm going with number three. Number two's kitchen and back door reminded me of one of the places you used to live 😊 enjoy the process and follow your heart
Supporting you in trusting your gut/ heart/ soul ❤. Love the small cottage 🥰
I loved number 3 because of the privacy. The garden looked so large, so much so that you could have a greenhouse.
I reckon you've gone for house number 1 - you were so clearly in love with it. I think you could possibly work around the listed issue and just do minor changes that don't impede on the listing regulations. You LIT UP talking about that house!
This was so exciting love your vlogs and living in Cotswolds, I will get to see shopping in Daylsford 😍.
Roo is so cute waggling her tail in the hotel bedroom excited for the viewing...lovely to see Roo in front car seat do you have a harness seat belt wasn't sure. Xx
I think the small house would suit and make you feel, safe, content and happy while Kenny is away so much, but the 3 bed would be amazing..
Wish you all the luck in the world with your house hunting, have fun & enjoy, so exciting!!!!!! All the best from Jan
A beautiful place to move to and it must be so hard to choose, as they all had positives.
You did seem to love the grade II listed one, but I understand your reservations to restrictions.
Think you need to look at more - you will know when you find the right one 🥰
I think house number 1. Good luck with all the viewings 😊
All the homes are so lovely. My recommendation would be to follow your heart. You'll never regret it. I would love to live in such a beautiful area like the Cotswolds. Whenever I visit England, it's the first place I go. Such peace and gorgeous landscapes. I am very excited to join you and Kenny on your house hunting adventures.
Love your videos. Very professionally done.Visited the Cotswolds and stayed at The Fish and went to the Fox. Had a lovely time on our mini break. Good luck in your house hunting.
I loved watching this! My husband and I live in California but he’s British and we would love to buy a country cottage in the English countryside in the coming years, so this really inspired me! I love your dad’s tip about house hunting on a cloudy day to really know if you love a house. ❤ Excited to see what you decide
When buying a house, and it doesn’t matter where it is you’ve got to get the feelings! Good luck! 👍🥰
The Cotswolds has to be one of my favourite places - best of luck with your move!
Stroud had a wonderful vintage emporium I've been to a few times. Although the town is a little quiet in the weekdays - very busy at the weekend though.
As en estate agent I would always say if you can look past the surface and really see the potential - and if that potential fits with your ideas of the future - you're on the right track.
How wonderful! a move to the Cotswolds! I think house no. 1 if it's still on the market ♥
I loved the kitchen space and light in number 3.
I think house no1, love this video of the Cotswolds, Iam originally from the north of England and now live in Australia, but the Cotswolds looks a magical place, follow your heart you can work around what your head is saying. Cant wait to follow your journey ❤
I think its good your thinking more with your head rather than heart ❤
Loved them all but 1 and 3 my favourite ❤❤❤ love Roo
Best of luck with your search - the houses were lovely! oxo
I’m so excited for you! I would 100% agree with your dad to always look at a house on a rainy day, but I think you will just know when it’s the right one 🤍
I think #1. You will fill the house and love it.😍
I’m visiting the cotswolds in September (coming from the US.) I know I won’t want to leave. How lucky you are to be able to grow up there and return to raise your family ❤ I’d pick house #1 and I kind of think you would too…but maybe not for just yourself…
So excited for you and Kenny! I would say house 1 or 3 from what you saw today. House 2 doesn’t seem to make sense (to me) if it wouldn’t work for you living there full time. House 1 the setting was gorgeous and house 3 even though you feel it may be to large I’m of the belief that it’s always better to have more space then you think you might need than less space. In the end you and Kenny have to go with what is best for the two of you! Thank you for taking us along on this new and exciting chapter of your life!❤
Thanks for sharing
Have a good day. ❤
What a majestic area, the Cotswolds is. I would love to visit one day.
Hello from Switzerland 👋
I'm currently listen to a audiobook called "bunburry" something. It plays in the cotswolds i think. So i saw this video & think that's so cool now to see you hunting a house there 😅 i really like your videos 🫶
House #1, but any of them would be dreamy ❤
i think the sweet cottage number 2. Thank your for y beautiful video.
Sometimes the first house is the right house. Don’t be put off because a house is listed. You have to go with your gut feeling!
I've never bought a house, but my parents have bought lots and they always say that if it's tugging the heartstrings it is most definitely worth investigating and seriously looking at it. But if there are things that just don't work for you and aren't fixable/changeable, let it go 'cause there will always be other 'dream' houses.
I am so happy I have found your channel, you're living my dream! I crave the quaint cottage life before having a family too
I feel like the very first one will have a beautiful feel in winter.
That's what I was also thinking...snow on the hills
First❤ i really like the two you saw in the morning ….❤
I have to say number 3 was so beautiful but, follow your heart and listen to your mum and dad xxx
Lovely vlog as always. I always feel calm watching you and look forward to your week. I would say cottage no 1 sounds like the one you are most interested in? Have a good week x
Grade II listed place for sure!! This is the best one for you guys 😍
What a beautiful channel Hannah 👌🏾🙏🏾
Hannah! Do not waist your time on al those distractions! Just join Kenny, enjoy the time together, even if it's in a place u do not fancy, but such time together will never happen again!
I think number one ❤
I think you should jump on the home with the great kitchen, bricked in garden and the beautiful iron gated driveway. You also said it was great for the price.. it was also great from our view on here!!! 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
If viewings 1 and 2 are still playing on your mind I’d arrange a second viewing ASAP ask any questions you have … and if you’re still in love make an offer. As you know already properties in the Cotwolds go fast.
Hi Hannah, just watched the vlog - excited to see more of the move process😍 where is your weekend bag from? It’s exactly what I’m looking for Xx
It's from a brand called July! It's such good quality too xx
Love that coffee cup! (Oops, tea cup!)
Its not impossible to have an extension as long as its inkeeping with the property.i live in a grade 2 listed cottage thats 350 years old in cotswolds and have had a kitchen extension albeit all the plans take longer when in a listed building but its worth it.👍
Wow what a beautiful area, I wanna move there now
Love the third house ❤️
It’s so beautiful there 🥰
Pleased to have stumbled across your channel, very much enjoyed a local wander around. Happy hunting! 🏡
Ps #4 looked charming, but I think you're swaying towards the first?
AG1 is really good with coconut water!!! And regular water.
The small amount of information shared about each house makes hard yet easy to say which fits you best? It seemed the 1st one with all the beautiful gardens and out buildings really caught your imagination.
Love your navy cardigan in this vid! Where did you get it from? Good luck with the Cotswolds chapter! xx
Hi Hannah how are you happy Sunday morning to you and I enjoy your channel and you are amazing supporter happy summer day
Advice - slow down. You need to go see another 8 houses (not sure why you came all that way and only saw 4 houses). Take photos and notes and than you willhave more clarity. Even is you choose a small house it is still a big investment. Do not make a decision based on only seeign 4 homes.
If your heart is with house number one, then look into how much restriction there would be with it being listed, you may be surprised with what is allowed. It looked perfect. It's so exciting for you both. xx
Love it! I wonder how you will cope with the weather.
Are you from outside the UK? The Cotswolds has a comparatively temperate climate in terms of the UK as a whole. You don’t tend to get extreme weather here unless you’re north of, say, Cumbria and the Lake District. 😊
