Yep, certainly looks like the best one of these types of screens I’ve seen too. Certainly an improvement over the other you reviewed some time ago - like you say the mounting arrangement is a marked improvement too.

How’s about trying the units aux out cable to a female aux/usb A cable adaptor to connect into a usb head-unit? Wondering if that audio connection would work. The FM option is just pants in my experience.

The way to go is pure bluetooth mode. I forgot to demonstrate it in this video so I'm going to do a follow up video shortly but basically, bluetooth connects to your car radio and wifi to the screen, the screen controls the phone but the sound comes via blutooth the the cars head unit. The results are impressive.

@@pistonbroke how would this fair in the mg-3 with the base radio, ive found it to be a bit finicky connecting to bluetooth when turning the car on

The base radio in the 3 isn't that great, I was constantly having bluetooth issues with mine and that was just using my phone, let alone any other devices. It rarely worked when trying to play music from my phone. That's why I binned it in the end and went nuts swapping the dashboard for the facelift type so I could have a double din android head unit.

Does Navigation instructions and music playback both come from the car stereo via Bluetooth?
Also does the screen allow pinch to zoom when you use Google Maps or Waze?

Yes, sound will come through car stereo via bluetooth if you enable pure bluetooth mode. I didn't show this in the video but there will be a follow up video soon about this.
Double tap to zoom maps. I've not tried pinching but will try it and let you know.
