She is definitely one of my biggest influences when it comes to my own trumpet playing. I still have a very long way to go before I reach that fantastic level.
She is from Norway and she is absolutely WONDERFUL! I always loved this Hayden's Concerto and she truly knows how to play it. Alison Blossom is also incredible!

Dang. What's with people taking the time to point out the few times she messed up? I couldn't care less about those. She has managed to take one of the most over-played, mind-numbing pieces of musical literature and breathe fresh life into it.
Do you like her swell at legatos? In my opinion it's awful. :p She's an fantastic trumpeter but for me she plays way too... cheesy(?) Pretty much always nowadays. Tho, her live performance at Arutunian Trumpet concerto is fantastic.
I love the norwegen player Thing Helseth very much. she has done great performances but she has a little bit further to reach the level of Håkan Hardenberger.She can have a better tone och better precision. But yet very good played.
In the first movement there were lots of kicks. I did not understand - something wrong had happened with the instrument? Cadence has been improvised magnificently. In the third movement there was a sort of "diabolical rush" (Mozart's term). We know that she is a virtuoso. Why so hurry? It seems to me that this was not her's best performance.
Why don't you perform The Hayden Trumpet Concerto for us on tour with International Orchestras , record it and post it on You Tube for us. I've heard many live performances, including Maurice Andre back in 1963, and many of them had a few bum notes. This is a live performance, and not recorded in a studio where bum notes get edited out, and corrected. I guess you don't get out often. Her rendition is one of the most musical performances I've ever heard. Notice how I said "MUSICAL". I don't sit at a live performance listening and waiting for "bum" notes. It's about the performance, and this performance was incredible.

Ich bin ein Fan von Tine aber sind wir ehrlich das war nicht ihr bester Auftritt ,insbesondere im ersten Teil ,aber das kann passieren.
Her sound quality is never compromised to any female player.
