Kuala Lumpur airport (KLIA): transfer from satellite terminal to main terminal - English

- On my way from Bali to Bangkok I had to change flights in Kuala Lumpur.
When changing at KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport) from between Satellite and Main Terminal you need to take a train.
In this video I show you how the transfer works and how large the airport is.
Currently waiting for a flight towards Kuala Lumpur, this helped alot. Tysm.

Hy Thank you so much. Your video just made me relieved a bit. I'll arrive KL from Dhaka via Malindo Air on 08th February 06.50AM and have a connecting flight from main terminal to Penang at 08.05AM by the same Malindo. I didn't see you doing any immigration check. My flights are under a same ticket/ booking number. Will look forward to your suggestion if my transit time (1 hour) is good enough to complete the immigration and then move for the domestic flight. Thanks again :)
Hi, 1 hour connection time is good enough. The domestic gate are very close to the middle part of the main terminal. As far as I remember all Malindo flights are arriving via the main terminal. si you will never walk far.
Immigration will be close to the domestic gate. Malaysia Airlines even has their own domestic lounge in that area.

Hi, that depends from where you are going to the C gates. Are you transferring in KUL or departing from the city itself?

You wont need the the train for that. Security check will be at you departure gate as well so not big rush when transferring. Enjoy your travel :)

So do we need to do the immigration check again if we only transit for one hour? Or just move for another gate?
Just move to another gate, no immigration check. :)
How about if we have baggage? No need to rechecking? Or is it from airline to move our baggage?
If both flights are on the same booking you don't need to re-check your luggage. The airline(s) will be doing that. :)

How much time required for going to Kuala Lumpur international airport from Kuala lumpur T2 international airport? Is there immigration in between these two? Do I require transit visa for just changing the planes?
I assume you need to change to the terminal Air Asia flies from? If so you will need to clear custom control and immigration. As you will officially enter the country you need to have a visa for that. There if a free shuttle bus between KLIA and KLIA2.
