Very useful, thank you so much. I have removed my Sony XAV 68bt and connected at home just for trial now using an SMPS. But somany wires of that on table doesn't look nice. Hence ordered a 12V 15 Amp which has only one two+ two - output terminals.
Now the problem is that I don't know how to add a antenna to the unit for FM and how to use the remote for playing audio.

As much as you like.. because the stereo is running off mains power, there is no such limitation as to how long you can use it.

Home theaters are 5.1 and this car stereo is 2 channel but the power is more there in car stereo
How can I prevent loosing settings in head unit when PSU is turned off? Could I use 18650 batteries?
I have my system running off a car battery and I wired my amp in like it only gets powered when the headunit/stereo has power, that way it shouldn't lose any settings (haven't been for me though)
Ya i know . Sony and Kenwood are dsp based processor and has a RTC . There will a different circuit. You can use 12volt battery for backup of the time settings.18650 could be a option.
What will happen if you put the volume high more than the power supply watt 550 watt what will happen if the watt go much higher than 550 watt more than the power supply

Hey, Jeffery, that would require a little more effort because car stereos don't have a karaoke mic input. So I guess you will need an external sound mixer which has both, audio in and mic input so you can mix those two and then send it to the car stereo.
sure it just needs power. you can get a dedicated 12v power supply or just do the old hot wired PSU trick like the one in the video.

it doesnt care which PSU ur using if you just cut the wires and splice them to the power input of your radio ... no need for "compatibility" ;) youve seen that he did that right ? you watched the video ? xD
it doesn't matter, all computer power supplies have 12v and 5v rails. all you have to do is hot wire it (ground the green wire) so you can run the power supply without a computer and then you tap into the 12v rails to power your stuff. but make sure you're using the highest output rails for PCI-E expansion. if you use the rails for hard drives then you won't get much power out of the unit. honestly though it would be better if you just bought a 20 amp power supply off of amazon or something because PSUs can only pout out so much power.
@@ElectronicsForFun ok noted, bcause my sony audio player amp rating is 10 amps, many of the psu i see on the market the amp rating is higher, i just afraid the psu gonna blow my audio player fuse
@@pilangkersharlequinn3861 Mate learn some Basic electronics pls :) if your Radio is rated on 10A and The psu is Higher that only means that The Radio "draws" 10A from lets say The psu can handle 15A so your PSU can handle that 10A without getting overloaded and Heating Up because it only has to "Push" that 10A it wont give your Radio more then your Radio needs except shortcuts ... But i guess the 10A is a Max Peak Rating that means your Radio should Draw less then 10A ... If you would use a PSU rated For lets say 5A and The average Draw from your Radio would be 7A which would be an overload your PSU would end Up in Heating Up and would blow after some time... So If your PSU is rated Higher then your Radio Go on have some fun ;>

yeah, you can hook it up to a TV. You can hook it up to pretty much anything with has audio out or Bluetooth audio streaming.
