What’s the trimmer for the lacing and why did you use it on the lacing for this glove? Also how often do you need to reglue the palm? Where do you get the glue and whats it called? Great video! So helpful.
It is a sliver. I got it from Tandy leather. I don't believe they sell it anymore. I get the adhesive from USA sports direct. There is no exact time, some last longer then others. It's more a feel/visual. It your palm/pocket feels loose or if you notice it's not stuck together anymore.
Its a skiver. Typo on the previous answer. It thins the lace for the palm and heel lace. Makes for a proper fit and more comfortable feeling on the hand.
What would a full makeover like this cost typically and what would be the expected turn around time? My sons DP15 pretty much needs all the same work and we're debating just getting a new glove.
I’m curious as to the stiffness of this glove after you restored it, is it stiff as new or is there still signs of wear and tear as far a break-in goes
Which laces did you thin? All of them? What do you recommend for those without that machine? What is the reason? Taking off weight and ease of threading? U Recommend using laces that come pre-thinned? Thanks!
I skive the palm and heel lace it if for comfort and proper fit. If you look at any glove straight from the factory the palm lace will always be thinner. You can get the lace skived when bought from buyfastpitchgloves.com
Hey man what’s the round trim on the bottom of the wrist and around the finger whole of a glove called ?? And how much would it be to fix it please let me know!!!!
this is low key the most satisfying video ive ever watched no cap
I'm glad you like it!

What is the point of the sliver? I’m only asking because I’ve never seen them before. That looks cool.

Would have liked to see how you did the binding but pretty cool.
I have an industrial sewing machine I use to sew the new bindings on.
Playback speed .25x turn off volume if you want to follow along while re-lacing your glove. Worked great for me
What do you use to clean and then condition your gloves? Great vid btw
wow thats incredible!
Dope video bro.
Thank you!

Nice job
@DurhamGloveRepair Very nice work! since you skive the palm lace, what size lace do you use in the palm and pinky/thumb
I use 3/16" everywhere except the web and fingers.
DurhamGloveRepair do you skive the same piece of lace more than once
@@AbelardoBarajas21 I do it until I have the proper thickness. Sometimes I get it on the first pass, sometimes it takes a couple.
Alguien me puede decir cómo se llama ese tipo de pegamento q parece una goma q se le echa en el centro del guante
Quédo chido
Good work. I enjoy your videos. I noticed the binding on the wrist strap was repaired/replaced. Did you do that or was it sent out to someone?
Thanks I'm glad you like the videos . I did the binding replacement.
When would you consider dying this glove to restore the color? Is there a type of dye you would recommend
I rarely dye gloves. I just clean and condition the leather to bring it back to life.
I’m curious as to the stiffness of this glove after you restored it, is it stiff as new or is there still signs of wear and tear as far a break-in goes
It is not as stiff as a new glove, but it is significantly stiffer than before the restoration.
@@DurhamGloveRepair thank you

It is called binding. Please email me with inquiries at durhamgloverepair@gmail.com
Do u use thinner lace on the palm?
Yes, I skive the lace for the palm and heel.
You skipped the reason I was hoping to see when I looked up the video.. how does one replace the binding?
I have an industrial sewing machine to sew on the new binding. No other way to do it really unfortunately.
Great video! Where do you get your glove grease? Do you make it?
I get it from USA Sports Direct
DurhamGloveRepair Do they sell a big coffee tin of glove grease?
@@leonledgister1877 you have to ask them for bulk.
how thin do you typically want your lace to be after using the skiver?
I just go by feel, not sure how else I could explain it. Not sure what the measurement went would. Sorry.
Cuántos metros de correa ocupaste para el guante
4 cordones de 72 pulgadas.
Do you have a way to “stiffen” up a glove ?
New palm adhesive, and relacing.
How do you get a bubble out of the palm of a glove?
You can add palm adhesive and try to pound it flat with a mallet. But once a bubble has formed, it is very difficult to get out.
@@DurhamGloveRepair where do I add the palm ahdhesive
It goes on the inside if the glove. Have to take out the palm and heel lace.
What did you put inside the palm?
Palm adhesive. It holds the palm and liner together, smoothing out the palm and helps reform the a pocket.
May I buy this glove
I have the same glove but the thumb is broken 💪😀👍
How is it broken?
I think the plastic thing in the thumb is broken because it is soft and not stiff at all and there is a spot where it bends anyway
By the way thank you for replying 💪😀👍
That is something that can be fixed. If you want to get it done, send me an email at durhamgloverepair@gmail.com
How much do you think it will cost ?
Alguien sabe cómo se llama el pegamento que le echo en el minuto 4:31 ?
Palm adhesive
Donde lo puedo conseguir
Are you a Wilson or rawling person
I like both brands, just depends on the glove.
